Thank you for covering Salina. My mother was born there and I lived there many years. Never saw a hail storm like that this time of year. We are almost Summer. I remember hot Summer Days swimming at the Elks club. It is almost Memorial Day and opening the pools. They have a nice pool with water slides at the park.
    Freeky. Sorry about your windshield.

True story: I met a girl once and I was amazed by her car. It had little bitty dents all over it like it was some kind of custom denting job . She told me she was from Kansas then I immediately knew what happened

I bet the people behind that semi were really happy that it was flashing it's lights. It's really hard to see in strong storms and it's like you almost go blind. It's terrifying so those lights are like a beacon to follow.

Next to ice storm, tornado 🌪, and high winds, hail is one of my biggest fears when driving 🚗 😳!

What about a windy Spring day on the plains or TX pan handle and literally not being able to see the road due to tumble weeds rolling across. Hitting some 3 ft wide ones. That's not a fun experience.

You need some type of metal shutters for the windshield!

Metal grid screen that covers but allows wipers to still clear. Maybe 3” above the shield and good friend who welds ?

Used to be that hail was quite rare but it's regular these days. Take a few pieces of hail and put them in a freezer then bring them to an official chemistry lab for analysis.

I would have to agree. Used to be they seeded the clouds to help with rain. Now I think it’s a little more nefarious than that.

For living in Cheyenne WY for a number of years now and not witnessing one of these famed Cheyenne hail storms, I'm happy. My entire garden is always covered in hail netting regardless. We got some pennies last year, nothing crazy.

Nothing new people. Same thing happened in 2016 and many years ago. Oh wait I forgot that we live in a extreme ADHD society.
