What he means by Odof is “hors d'oeuvres” and Poff is “poivre”. The original video and subtitles got it wrong :-D
French is weird
😱😱😱
He’s still pronouncing them incorrectly tho
"hors d'oeuvres" hitler 😈
power “poivre” girls 👍
6:46 the way Achara said "Defend your national food" got me🤣🤣
Exactly bro 😂😂😂😂😂
I strongly request jaby and achara duo to react to Indian summer by shuba song :)
10:16 Achara speaking hindi 😍
And that 2 second pause in his face 😂😂
That chef guy is taking about 17 Course French Classical Menu..

The one you are are Odof is written as "Hors d'oeuvre". The second one is "Oeufs" means types of eggs prepration.
The dude literally said asparagus lol
oooo that'd what he said. the guy said it completely wrong.
it's pronounced oderves
What about Brushetta
@@Black-rc4tz hahaha not French at all. most Italian thing
“Who are” - wtf
People who say all Americans eat just burgers and pizzas are equivalent to people here in the west who say Indians only eat curry or chicken tikka masala. US is a very large country with varying cuisines. Jambalaya, Gumbo, meatloafs, Poke bowls, Chili con carne(shortened as Chili- stew with meat), prime ribs, steak, pork rolls are some of the dishes eaten across different parts in the US.
But all Indian do eat curries
true
@@jordenwangdi9637 not all…anyway, the curry part was intended to demonstrate the fallacy of the assumption that all curry is a dish, which is what most people outside India assume. No distinction to different kinds of curry….like rajma, dal, chole, saag, vindaloo, chettinad, etc. I am sure it is more nuanced than that and a culinary expert could explain it better, but I think you get the point
@@MobiusPhoenix brother what are you talking?, all Indians eat curry.
When life gives you giri, be anish
10:17 She got me when she said "NAHI" , I literally had rewind and watch it like 2-3 times.....AWESOME
true, it was awesome , and like how it looked just natural
Even if you americanize sushi, it'd still be Japanese cuisine. If I put curry leaves when basting a steak, it won't become Indian steak. It'd still be French fillet mignon with curry leaf basting.
Even burger isn't american, it is german invented during WW 😂
americans are not americans
Dude this idoits think they can petent everything
I still remember when i was in class 12 there was a full paragraph of how americans tried to petent some indian rice in the chapter biotechnology
@@subhampatar3266 true
Even American are not not American.
@@subhampatar3266 Exactly, Native American tribes have their own distinct cuisines.
Woah...that 'nahi' from Achara caught me off guard..😅😅😅😂😂
I thought that only i noticed
I also noticed that 😂🙌
It was probably Akash mis-hearing the French words. We don't even pronounce "croissant" correctly and I have come across bakery staff who couldn't understand me when I pronounced it the French way. They then proceeded to teach me the "correct" pronunciation. I had to let it go because they obviously didn't have the advantage of taking French classes.
i dont think it matters about how you pronounce french words in india
Taking classes of indian languages is beneficial while in India. The seller is no wrong here.
It’s okay, if you are in India, that’s fine
Shubham did not know what he was talking.
@@atharva8920 It is OK not to know. If you have taken French lessons, it becomes difficult to corrupt the actual pronunciation for other people to understand you.
Shubham will be a great chef, he is making new dishes on spot.
Bro it was not made up he pronounced them right but the subtitles were wrong the dishes were
Hors d'oeuvres which was oudouf
Poivre which was poff
Please don't judge people so quickly ☺️
@@hawk1696 Damn, you're right. That's what it was.
@@hawk1696 ummm ok then answer these too -
1) He said Bruschetta is french (it is Italian)
2) He said you can put Steak in a burger.
3) Says Americans only eat burgers.
4) Even if he did mispronunciate "hors d'oeuvre" and "poivre", poivre literally means pepper.
5) Does not know basic human body parts.
@@rahilmalhotra001 when did I said he mispronounced it. He pronounced them as best as he could u can see the pronunciation online as well they are very similar to what he said and also
"Steak au poivre is a French dish consisting of a beef steak that is coated in crushed peppercorns and fried"
Also steak is used as a patty in burger
I agree with rest of your points
@@hawk1696 oh yes that is I am also thinking.....may be subtitles are wrong....you are right😷
I love it that jaby is defending American food❤❤
Now u feel how its like for us to hear something wrong about our food😆
odof that he said is spelled as hors d'oeuvre and it means appetizers or starters. It can be made of many ingredients and name is given accordingly. Additionally there are sandwich and burgers with steak cut as patty....I have seen it in menu in hotel I was working. Other than that I would not completely agree with other things shuvam said... but I might don't know as well.
chef could not himself pronounce it correct.
@@friendlyatheist9589 actually the real pronunciation does sound like odof or odove with bit stress on 'o' sound. Chef here might know the actual spelling as it is taught like mantra to HM students as part of French classical menu but his pronunciation was not really the best. However, in my opinion the subtitles that came along was the main reason people got confused..... that's all 😅
Spelling and pronunciation for this word are worlds apart😅😅
Yeah Jaby knows what hors d'oeuvre are , in fact he already guessed that's what he was trying to say
I have seen . Steak sandwich recipes.
Odof = Hors d'oeuvres 😂
Aap toh chhote bachho k language ki expert lag rahi hai. 😂 That dude is literally making things up. That's why he laughed also while saying Poff. Ab aap Poff ka bhi matlab samjha dijiye 😂
I lost it when Achara said - Yes, defend your national food.. 😂😂😂
Hey is jaby talked about BTS in this video???
America has no cuisine!
Jaby: we have different burgers, and you have to spend a lot to get them.
haha yeah that was very funny
yea but to be fair southern American has a lot of food. like Cajun, gumbo, jamalAya etc.
@@adityajain1278 tu wahi raheta hai kya bhai 😂
Regarding 11:12 The problem is, in India, a burger means the whole dish including the bun, lettuce, patty etc. Example, mostly in India we call it a chicken burger when we use grilled or fried chicken, as opposed to chicken sandwich in the US.
In the US, burger means the ground meet patty. Turkey burger means, ground turkey patty. You can apparently have a hamburger without the bun too, because the name is basically referring to the meat patty. Hence, chik fil a sandwiches are called sandwiches and not burgers etc etc.
Achara’s “NAHI” was so damn cute♥️
Defend your national food. Hahaha...
Achara: The low-key roaster.
Shhhh…don’t let Jaby know. I don’t think he heard me 😂
@@Achara 😳😱Oh... My... God...
@@Achara damn, i didn't know u have a channel too😳
The subbing got it wrong - he was saying "HOR'S D'OEUVRES" which is pronounced - "Or Dovs" not ODOF's
Similiarly Poivre isnt POFF's ....... aakash's subtitles guy got it wrong
Exactly i thought he wanted to say hor's d'oeuvres too coz it's first course of the French classical menu but then many first years studying hotel mngmt have a hard time pronouncing it so i thought maybe he could be pronouncing it wrong who knows
Subbing didn't get wrong the guy was mispronouncing the terms
What wrong? You can literally hear him saying Odof and Poff.
10:16 ... That's Italian "NAHI"😂😂😂😂
I think she meant dahi 😅
That HM guy is a backbencher for sure. 😀😀
Or he is probably a 'bakch**d' 😆 i have feeling that he is one...
😂😂😂true
nope, the pronounciation was correct but the spelling in the subtitles was wrong

I was honestly surprised😃😃
Loved your reaction video. Aakash is really quick, witty and have a great presence of mind. You guys made this video much more enjoyable. Thank you very much.
11:52 But Jaby all countries have their on version of every country's cuisines. I don't that makes it a part of their cuisine. As an example, in India, we have our own versions of Chinese food that we call indo-chinese. But it isn't a part of authentic Indian cuisine. IDK just my thoughts
I was not a fan of react channels man but the feeling of watching this with a group of people is fun - maybe I just need therapy :) love the videos man
Even we have an indian sushi ... Actually India is pretty famous for indo-chinese food and indo-japanese food..
Basically indians love giving every food from the world the indian touch of flavours!!!
Americans after changing one ingredient in dish - its american cuisine now🦉
This means every cuisine is indian as nothing retains its original form here lol
it is. you can't say indian Chinese is not indian.

4:02 I think this is done to actually frustrate the easily frustrated people into blowing up so that they can be the victim in the altercation. Everyone wants to save their job and not be yelled at by their bosses. If you can make the customer frustrated enough to become unreasonable then the tables turn. It's gaslighting at a professional level.
jaby pls want to see your reaction meeting akash live in U.S.. waiting for your video with akash
It's hors-d- oeavre, spell as audaff (appetizer)
And potage( soup) these are the first 2 dishes from 11 courses of French menu
I WAS WAITING FOR THIS ONE!!! THANKS FOR MAKING ON THIS ONE
8:48 that was also my reaction when I heard those names.
Like, what the heck's that?
Jaby and Achara love to see your review on Kannada movie Garuda Gamana Vrishabha Vahana 😊
It's hors d'oeuvres which are starters and it's not 5 course meal it is actually 17 course meal which is classical french course
I mean, this one is on the French. Hor d'oeuvres sounds like "odors" depending on where you put the pauses.
I think this gives a good insight into non-Indians how they sound when they say our words, lol
Saying "American" Sushi is the same as Chicken tikka masala being UK's national dish 🤦🏻♂️
That candle in bg is awesome being in frame
Considering what Jaby said about sushi, in the very same way, momos or dumpling (originated from Tibet) are Indian food? Because there is no other country who put momos in seekh or so to say fry them or dip them in mayos.
10:16 Achara speaking hindi 😍😍😍😍
06:45 Defend your national food. The best joke came from Achara.
First time an American elaborating his cuisine and culture 😀😀😀 nice
BTW I also got same search results 😂😂😂
6:18 Still BURGERS...!!! :)
She said nahi❤️😍
Maan 🤣🤣🤣🤣"Defend you national food".......Nice one miss Kirk..
Poff takes its name from mini “poffertje” pancakes, a light and spongy kind traditional to Dutch cuisine and it is a french cuisine brother
I guess that guy is talking about The French Classical Menu. His pronunciation and the subtitles are incorrect. That Odof is actually 'Hors d'oeuvre' - Appetizer and Poff is 'Poivre' - Steak.
Did anyone else's heart also skip a beat at 10:17?? "Nahi"? ❤️
"Absurds amounts of moneys"

I just love achara honesty when she said defend ur national food hilarious.....and true accept it jaby
it's not odof it's hors d'oeuvres means starter and not poff its oeufs means eggs in French.... this comes under french classical menu 🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗
basically its burger dont defend jaby🤣🤣🤣
To all the hardcore Shubham defenders in the comments, please answer the following-
1) He said Bruschetta is french (it is Italian)
2) He said you can put Steak in a burger.
3) Says Americans only eat burgers.
4) Even if he did mispronunciate "hors d'oeuvre" and "poivre", poivre literally means pepper.
5) Does not know basic human body parts.
" Nahi " by Achara 😅👌
10:57 Fragile and Idiots Sentiment is Hurt😝
Please react to "The legends of Ramayan" on Discovery+ It is a very interesting 3 ep series where the host takes us on a journey to key locations, mapping myth with geology, customs and belief to bring the legends of Rama's travels alive.
on that Sushi point - Acc to Jaby's logic, chinese food is Indian dish too then the way it is prepared in north indian restaurants.
ultimately, burgers are some meet or veggies between 2 buns. We usually call it as vada paw or different tastes. It is not meal. it is food.
6:46 Achara 👍

Achara is soo fricking cute and i also love you jaby i really wanna meet you guys someday well if I could
American sushi? It's like Turkish curry?
Like when people say curry it's exclusive to India , similarly when you say sushi it's like exclusive to japanese cuisine....
But at different places these dishes are modified into their own forms according to the flavours popular at those places .
Like the way Indians make chinese chowmin which is definitely ten times more spicy and sour than it will ever be in China .
Food does get modified . Like korean ramen too !
