DUDE! I am so happy to see this video posted!! What a freaking awesome model! I am sure video will never do this model Justice it just looks so smooth and awesome in person.. Love the shot off the lift Hill looking down the straightaway and seeing the cars swinging back and forth right after the turn. Happy new year!
Yea, it was a long time coming but glad to finally be posting about it! Appreciate the kind words as well, it was so fun to have you actually see it in person this past year!
Nice work! I have a soft spot for those Arrow suspended coasters, and Arrow generally. I made a model of the Corkscrew with CDX Blocks kits with LEGO. I’m currently working on a Xcelerator inspired model.
Yea, I definitely have a soft spot for Arrow suspended coasters as well! Just saw your video of the CDX Corkscrew, that's some nice supports and shaping for the lift hill and loop, great job! Hope the Xcelerator model is a huge success for ya!
Hey, thanks so much! Hehe, oh yea I'm doing good, just took a little while to complete the coaster and get some videos out, so thanks for sticking around!
The rails are 1/4" polyethylene tubing. I used a custom tool to cut a section out of the tube. I haven't shared the files for the roller coaster but I did share the files for this tool in case you have access to a 3d printer ( www.thingiverse.com/thing:6028353 ). Have a good one!
Hi, could you please help me! I really need help! I've been working on a model Gerstlauer Infinity coaster combining it with Lego and I was wondering if you know a place that has good running wheels for fairly cheap, ball bearings are so god awfully expensive and my budget won't allow them currently. Would you maybe know a cheaper alternative that works half decent too? These coasters aren't very hugely planned, the chain is gonna be 50-70cm tall (I think) and I'd like to do 3 elements with it's hight. From these 3 elements the final one can be a simple roll, so it really doesn't have to be anything insane. The carts are pretty big, bulky and heavy tho so stable wheels are extremely important. Since the carts are pretty big the wheels don't have to be tiny neither. The main wheel is something about 14mm in diameter, a bit more or less is no problem. If you can help me please do so!
Hey there, neat sounding project! Wheels are definitely one of the most important things to keep the train running smoothly, so If you can, it is good to invest in some bearings. I take it you're from Europe somewhere (using the metric system), so I don't have any specific links that would work to buy bearings or wheels of the sort. That being said, I have bought most of mine from Aliexpress, Amazon, or Ebay, of which all tend to sell the bearings I'm looking for in bulk (packs of 10, 20, etc.) which comes out to a price of $1 at most per bearing, sometimes as cheap as $.50. As long as you clean all the grease out of the bearings and get them running smoothly, this is my recommendation for wheels for models. Also, If you'd like to learn more or see other people's model roller coaster projects, feel free to reach out to the "Coaster Printing Central" Discord. I don't run it, but hop on every now and again and they have been a great resource in getting many a coaster started for people. If you spend some time looking through the resources and people's projects it could be very helpful in understanding what materials would work best for your project. Look forward to seeing what you come up with!

Thanks Ryan! Was sad to see your nemesis project not quite make it fully, but you're killing it with those custom trains and beautiful layouts!
@3d Coaster thanks, just struggling with motivation and also trying to get the 4k watch hours on youtue
@@TheKnexMaker It's tough for sure. Don't burn yourself out and if it's any encouragement, your K'nex coasters truly are a work of art!
is that (hospital surgicial tube?) you us for the carts to run on?
What material are the two drive tubes made of and how where they manufactured?

Where do you buy your yellow tubing for your track ?
I bought this yellow tubing off ebay
What do you use for the track spine and rails?
The track spine is 1/2" aluminum tubing and the rails are 1/4" polyethylene tubing with custom 3d printed crossties
