I've been watching this for years. Long enough to have completely changed as a person. It's surreal seeing this finally look close to completion. All of the people who worked/are working on this are legends.
This is how I felt when black mesa finally released. Like I had grown up watching the devs grow up. And they finished it. Like some absolute legends. And these peeps are legends too. Regardless of the outcome.

This project has such a deep effect on me. I had an extremely abusive childhood, and Oblivion was always my escape from that. To see it come to life in this project has quite literally turned me into a sobbing mess and I want to thank the developers of this project from the bottom of my heart for this massive undertaking. Y'all don't know how much it means to me to see Oblivion given the dedication and attention it deserves. I know it's just a game but it just...it means so much.
I know where you are coming from. Oblivion was the only escape in high school for me. It is amazing to think how lucky we all are to have lived long enough to see this masterpiece! I really cannot believe the amount of dedecation this is getting.
There are so many missions that I want to complete in Skyblivion which I remember super fondly from my days playing Oblivion, this is exactly how nostalgia goggles makes playing Oblivion feel

The editing of this trailer is truly incredible. I loved it when it came out, and I keep coming back to it every couple months because the trailer alone is such an experience.
its the second game I ever played and if they do it right it'll be the first time you can experience a game just like you did the first time you did. Old games sometimes loose their glamour when replaying duo to old tech but remaking it like this should bring you into its world immmersion once more :)

I stopped buying consoles over 10 years ago. And was the smartest thing I ever did. Build it yourself you will save thousands. I know nothing about building PC's. I just watched some RUclips videos. I built my first PC over 10 years ago for about 1000 dollars & it still is way more powerful them any of the new consoles. It may not play on 4k in the settings on triple A games. But 1080p with all other settings maxed isn't bad. Always getting 60 fps. Tell me what console can do that. Building a pc is easy as pie. There are only really 6 parts. 1. motherboard 2. graphic card 3. RAM 4. CPU 5. fans/cooling system 6. Memory (SSD). Wiring could be any easier 99 percent of the wires only fit in one spot on the motherboard. Everything is labeled such as where the fans hook up it say fans. Could be more simple. Most people don't want you to know how easy it is to do. Because there is so much money to be made off of ignorant gamers. I just finished a new rig before X-mas, with a budget of 1,300 dollars. And could easily sell it for 5 grand. IMO the hardest part of build a gaming rig is installing operating system from a flash drive. Can be a little tricky. Windows has some half as instructions. So I did a free chat with windows rep & they fixed my problem within minutes. And besides if your not gaming your on pc will be a monster & lightning fast. It's easy to see why after you build your first rig you will NEVER go back. And the feeling of building you own gaming PC is awesome.
@@holmzcat8493 230euros bought a new xbox series s that perfoms on 2k easily far above 60fps on most games where your old pc would freeze. So there is your answer to your question what console performs better. I'm a pc man but with an old pc u will really lose HARD from current gen consoles

I (b. '77), bought this game on the 23rd of December 2006 and still play it today-most races and many classes yet still never bored nor had enough. Although I´m a passionate retro gamer (I admit it!!), my 1st computer-a Commodore 64-aquired on Christmas Eve (being a Scandinavian and all) in 1988, there is something about The Elder Scrolls IV Oblivion that distinguish itself from ALL other games in that category. - its music alone make is great let alone its fantastic quests wether it be the main quest- or the very random side quests!.. Though Skyrim still an awesome game, in my opinion, slightly too dark environments wich in addition can become a bit somber in the long run, over Oblivion's by far lush- and not least hopefull atmostphere as the game is taking place in this VERY varied province of Cyrodill.
@@Tzphardi in a way that makes sense because a lot of people would be willing to donate but Bethesda wouldn't like them getting money while Bethesda nothing, maybe once the game comes out it will be sold so everyone gets paid...and that's a big "maybe"..lol
They should be paid with atleast donations honestly, they've put in five times the effort in this game than Bethesda did with a fraction of the crew. It's not just making the game skyrim engine, they're making immersive improvements to dungeons, quests, treasure, artifacts, etc to make a much better game.
Personally, my most anticipated part of Skyblivion will be completing the mages guild questline, I remember being a little disappointed about them being removed in Skyrim because they were always some of my favourite parts of the original Oblivion.

I liked how the quests felt better in oblivion than in skyrim so this is the best of those two games, the amazing story and the amazing system that makes people play skyrim even 11 years later
Thinking about companies like Sony, Nintendo and Capcom putting down fan projects of their games makes me respect Bethesda and Microsoft even more for letting it keep going. Fans deserve that. Loving a game and wanting more of it shouldn't be crime. I'm glad that Bethesda is company that, even with a lot of flaws, try to keep their games alive and let others help with it. Fallout 76 was a tragedy, but the game is still there unlike Anthem and Avengers and Skyrim is still being updated either with patches or mods.
Imagine how awesome the akatosh vs Mehrunes fight is going look in the new graphics. it already looked awesome before. ALSO: will the shivering isles and nights of the nine be included or no.

I remember when fans realised that the Imperial City was actually visible in Skyrim if you used no clip, those fake videos of using the slow time shout to reach Cyrodil in Skyrim are no more.
the fact that fans had to take it upon themselves to do something like this is crazy. how many “remasters” and “rereleases” do we see every year that no one asked for, but something like this just doesnt strike bethesda as being worthwhile? do they really not understand how lucrative a remaster of oblivion would have been, instead of rereleasking skyrim a dozen times? maybe this will prompt them to look into remastering morrowind in a similar vein (although i know there is a fan remaster of morrowind in progress as well).
The remake version of Skyblivion is SE/AE only. LE only gets a port aka Oblivion assets ported into Skyrims engine. And all of this is of course PC exclusive.

Only one word can describe the sheer will and determination of the group that's rebuilding this game on a modern engine. And that word, is "Passion". I'll wait till 2025 because I know this will be the best mod, no, best game I'll ever have the pleasure of playing.
What’s even more sad is that Bethesda could’ve easily sponsored and got behind this project from the beginning rather than constantly giving *minor* updates and re-releasing the exact same game. For the most part people didn’t care about graphics they would’ve made more money turning oblivion and Morrowind into the Skyrim engine that way you got 3 games to rehash instead of just 1 game.

Spellcrafting is already implemented, and off-hand spell casting will replace the Shout button.

It'll just be one big mod so I don't see why couldn't since Skyrim with mods already works.
