Can't tell you how much I love your channel, even little things like being the last guy on Earth to say "Merry Christmas" without a groveling disclaimer "BUT IF YOU DON'T CELEBRATE IT THAT'S FINE TOO I DONT CARE YOU DO YOU FUCK CHRISTMAS ACTUALLY SORRY".
I'm glad to see a review on this game and that you tried it out! It truly is a small gem in the rough. I really enjoy this game from time to time, especially the Library of Knowledge and Orbit. I tried it with a friend a year or 2 ago when she introduced me to it, and we played it every day for a few months with voice calls. It helped us through some tough spots. Happy Holidays!
Longtime player of Sky here! Your statement about community expectations and burnout is perfect. I’m actually one of those players who sort of hoped from more in terms of game mechanics, since once the storyline ends… it’s sort of repetitive from then on. Most burnout probably has to do with the limited edition cosmetics mech, where many players are forced to log in and “candle-run” for days in a row. Will keep it in mind not to expect too much out of it. Or else it will lose its appeal. Pleasantly surprised you covered this game.
I remember Journey. It made me feel... something I'm not sure I can put into words, but tugs at my heartstrings. My friend's wife played it about a month after a close family member died. She got _real_ quiet after she saw the ending... As for Sky, the visuals just from this video alone already seem to do it justice- I can only imagine the soundtrack!
I just want to grab a bowl, a big spoon, and a scoop big enough to fit the delicious looking clouds. Glad to see another video from you. You sound a bit deeper, getting over the flu or something? Sounds really pleasant if I'm honest. Merry Christmas I hope you've been well.
@@ChaseFace You'll get a lot of fans if you keep doing this. Legit could listen to it for a few days just relaxing. Also try to mention in your videos going forward to ask the audience to share it. It is small but goes a long way. I'll be sharing this review with a few others when I get up this following morning in preparation of making some pizzas for sale.
I always like when games provide unconventional ways of communication. I still remember the days of L4D1 on Xbox when nobody would use headsets so everyone would communicate with flashlight clicks and teabags; good times. Ive notices as ive gotten older, ive started to like more casual games over competitive. I picked up farming sim as a joke and ended up liking it more that any of the recent shooters.
@@ChaseFace I think its just based on personality. I got friends a lot older than me that are hardcore into CoD still. I use to play those games when I was younger but when I got older I had a realization "hey... I actually fuckin hate this game". I just played them cause thats what everyone else on the friend list was playing.
I like unintentional, emergent communication in games. In Mario Kart DS people would hop around and change their avatars into short messages. It was fun.
Chases voice seems deeper and more intense this video. Its super pleasant. Though it may just be me, straight boys with big balls deep baritone voices making me weak in the knees and all that.
I've been waiting forever for someone to talk about this game! It was so gorgeous and so easy to pick up and play. After a while, I found it a bit repetitive (though maybe that's changed, I haven't played it in a while), but man if it's not an experience.
I was avoiding this game because I'm sort of wary of f2p, but I think I'll try it. I didn't know that it was on Switch, so that's better for me than a phone. By the way, I just watched your Evil Within video, it was hilarious (Ellen DeGeneres and the "biology defying" jokes had me rolling). I think you made a lot of good points, too.
Basicly Journey but with mobile transactions sounds like a horrible idea... but yet it looks really fun?? And since it's free, I might as well give it a shot on Switch! The fact an iPhone is more powerful than the Switch is hilarious though haha. Also, hope you had a great christmas and a happy new year!
You know that game industry has on the cynically new leaf when f2p mobile games with heavy emphasis on microtransaction tubes can be more engaging while offer the devs more creative fuels than AAA and even some of the less common AA game productions these days, well at least the f2p facades are getting more advanced and in some f2p mobile games being more monetisably forgiving for all players, while also provide more creative and financial leisures for devs too Maybe some internationally regulated strict policies over microtransaction pricing and limits, then f2p mobile game scenes can be a much better alternatives to every game devs and their consumers to fanbase alike, legally it's still uncharted territory due to how archaic our private regulations on top of how technologically out of touch the current governments' generations right now
The fact that this is not in consoles like Journey is a disappointment. Nobody really wants to play games like this on their phone and I'm not buying Nintendo for one indie game. Not putting this on consoles or PC is probably why the game will never reach widespread recognition.
I never played Journey. It's another game that isn't for me either. That brief footage of DNF Duel has me excited. It's being made by 8ing along with Arc Sys and Neople. 8ing made Tatsunoko vs Capcom and the revisions of Monster Hunter 3, I believe.
You could, since there are many more things to complete in sky. There are daily quests, events and traveling spirits that can give you cool cosmetics, just to name a few.
Merry Christmas! 💜
nice emoji. btw do you know five nights at freddys

In case Zeus wants to play
Been playing Sky for years. You can't possibly believe how wonderful this game is and not many play it
I love that this was posted mere minutes after you were declared dead on EFAP.
Merry Christmas! Always a lovely gift when you upload.
Phenomenal drawing for the thumbnail since it's adorable as hell but seems to grasp that black water area. Merry Christmas as well.
That was done by my friend WitchTaunter!

A new video. Cool~ Nice~ Fantastic~
Merry Christmas, dude.
I completely forgot I subscribed to you but was surprised to see this in my sub box, as I have been playing sky for like 2 months now.
This is the kind of game that I could zone out to just for the music alone. Not many games out there are like it.
Your voice is so unique and professional-sounding that it always catches me off guard when watching a video of yours after a long time
A suprise to be sure, but a welcome one.
I'm just happy is not another Pokemon video ;p

Needed more Chaseface content to snort, thanks for the fix, even if it's just a light one.
The Chase has graced us with his Face. Merry Christmas!
Reminds me of 'El Shaddai: Ascension of the Metatron' 🤨🤔
So you're telling me 'Sky' is just like 'Journey 2: The Mysterious Island'? I gotta check it out then.
Ooohhh sh*t thank you! Hope you have been well

Merry Christmas mate
"Less murder and more flower-sniffing" More GHEY
I love Sexualobster. He's my favorite animator on youtube/Newgrounds

I don’t know why! I think I recorded it early in the morning or something.

Same actually! I think I’m just mellowing out as I get older.

Wait a minute...this isn't Death Stranding?!
But seriously, great video! Happy Christmas!
That one’s really burning a hole in my pocket.
Merry Christmas Chase.

For some reason they also actively block Bluestack wich is a Phone Emulator for PC.

Yeah it’s coming to all the other consoles but it’s taking them a while.

did you have a cold while recording for this? you sound kind of stuffy here and there. also merry chrimbus.
I think it’s the way it’s mixed tbh
I found Journey so boring I didn't even finish it. Would I enjoy this?
Probably not. Similar pace.
