This is an adaptation not a direct recreation. Don't get me wrong I love the books and definitely prefer them to any adaptation but this is the best one and it is after all an adaptation. If he was in Beirut this time around he'd be around 60 years old. In this timeline he didn't sustain that wound. In the first season he talks about being in the Middle East which the book character never was. The book Jack reacher served during the Cold war this one served during the GWOT. In season 1 they talked about the wound from the books but changed it slightly to fit the modern timeline. Therefore he may not have had that scar. They did also show a similar scar in the first season which may be forgotten from this one however.
She was literally just thirsting after him and Reacher has the nerve to congratulate her about not settling. Meanwhile, everybody in his old unit is doing well and making tons of money. While he's roaming the earth like Kung-fu, getting injured over and over. He's also clapping women's cheeks casually, but you'd think he could do that from in the confirm of his own home, but no. Reacher and Dixon in Season 2 piss me off sometimes...
Don't understand why this guy chooses to live like a hobo & not finally settle down. I mean, I'm single too but I have different issues. He pulls these girls only to dump them & be a hobo again!
He's just not interested much and is quite a lot disciplined . If you watch carefully he avoided the kiss scene at first sight being so close to Dixon still Dixon had to push out and yeah they had s3x
