I’ve had the 30’ cassette for probably 5 years. Used it maybe 1-2 times a month for light jobs around the house. It just died; the power light flickers, so it seems like there’s a loose connection inside. I tried opening it up to troubleshoot, but it’s held together by tri-wing screws so I can’t open it without buying a special tool. I don’t think I’ll be buying another Masterplug any time soon.
Hi M Roberts, we're sorry to hear your cassette reel has stopped working after 5 Years of use. Warranty on these products is 3 Years. It does sound like a connection may have come loose or a wire has sustained some damage somewhere within the cord. We hardly ever hear complaints about our Masterplug products as they tend to stand the test of time so well. Thankyou for your comment, we will keep a watch out to see if there's any reoccurrence in this form of complaint.
@@lucecogroup I wasn’t expecting it to still be under warranty; I just expected more durability from this cord reel. I’ve probably used it 40-50 times, mostly just for plugging in a trickle charger for a car battery for half a day or so. I’ve had cord reels last for many years under heavy use with zero problems, and they look like they’ve been through war. This one has been used very lightly and looks like new.
