It seems [adult swim] listens to their viewers and takes risks in animation, whether it's a success or not.
I don't mind it. I haven't really been watching it but recording the block for my collection and for people who would might later on want to trade for these shows. Now that doesn't mean I never watched these shows during their original run. I loved watching Dexter's Lab, Cow and Chicken, Powerpuff Girls, Johnny Bravo and Courage the Cowardly dog. And when Ed, Edd and Eddy came out I really enjoyed watching them too. There are so many others that I grew to enjoy over the years. Mike, Lou and Og was another one of my favorites.
Its PG instead of Y7 because Y stands for youth and we're not young anymore
Too bad there couldn't be A separate rating for shows that appeal to all ages. That would make things alot less confusing.
I think they have the PG ratings because they want to show adult ads during the shows. Teen Titians Go and Regular Show have PG ratings. That probably allows them to get away with a few more jokes and violence.
This feels like a step in the right direction now if Checkered Past can bring in lots of viewers and high ratings, they may decide to put classic CN shows back on the main channel permanently with a brand-new version of CN City.
I do remember that they did show The Adventures of Pete and Pete on The Splat block , a couple years ago , I was an active viewer of the Splat when I first found out about and I absolutely loved it and the retro nicktoons that it aired . It was a special , or a special night of sorts when they aired Pete and Pete , I thought it was a new show premiere 😂. But it wasn’t just an old Nick live action comedy, being brought back for a limited time.
Heres a good idea for you. The history of Shaggy's voice actors
Not A bad idea. A good chuck of it would be about Casey Kasem, while some parts of it could cover Billy West, Scott Innes, and Matthew Lillard.
This is a good direction to the network let's hope adult swim builds on this block just like what they did for Toonami.
Times have changed, thats why they changed the rating to TV-PG. Dexter’s Laboratory and Ed, Edd n Eddy because there’s some jokes that may be for an older audience, and Billy & Mandy and Courage the Cowardly Dog because some scenes may be too intense
I appreciate the bumbers for Checkered Past (I think they got Primal Screen back again to create them), I kinda think it's unnecessary. Maybe it's because I can watch all the shows aired on MAX and Hulu at anytime already. But I guess this is for those not subscribed to MAX and wisely stayed away from streaming services 😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁
My opinion on all the shows. Dexter's Laboratory: One of the greatest cartoons of all time Ed Edd n Eddy: alright Billy and Mandy: amazing Courage the Cowardly Dog: alright.
Wow, I saw this when it first aired last month in August. I watched Dexter's Laboratory there.
I think 'Checkered Past' has some potential, but it could work REALLY well as it's own block separate from Cartoon Network, and Adult Swim.
So, I believe that you pretty much agree that Shaggy and Scooby are the true masters of stoner humor
The real problem with cartoon network at the moment is that they air way too much teen titans go and gumball on the schedule.
Not anymore. It sounds like you haven't turned on CN in years. In the Morning they play cartoonito. Nowadays they play TTG and Gumball a normal amount.
@@icecreamhero2375 i know they air cartoonito now though. But they still play teen titans go and gumball during the afternoon.

I love Checkered Past. CN is doing what I wanted for years. I watch it when ever I get the chance. I hope this introduces the classics to a younger generation.
