- In this video I travel to Rotterdam in the Netherlands to watch a football game at what can only be described as a castle.
Sparta Rotterdam’s home stadium, Sparta Stadion Het Kasteel is synonymous with football fans as one of the most unique stadiums in the world.
Netherlands Women face off against Finland Women in a Euro 2025 qualifier. With both teams wanting to go top of the group with a win.

Did you know Cov played a friendly at Het Kasteel in August 2000? We beat Sparta 1-0 that evening, the first away win in like forever we remember! The fans sang to the tune of Jingle bells, "Oh what fine it is to see the City win away!"
Too bad you didn't get to watch Sparta there, they also have two Japanese wing wizards the light up their matches! :) :)
We're not sure if you noticed because of having to leave a tad bit early, but it was the last home match of Lieke Martens, hence a special game for the Dutch. And that is why the audience sang "Lieke bedankt!" (Thanks Lieke) at the end of your vid.
I had absolutely no idea that Coventry had ever played there. Assume that was around the time the stadium had just been revamped into what it is currently looking like. I will hopefully be over in the Netherlands at some point. Fantastic country

Not Coventry City F.C related but I attended the AC Milan vs AS Roma match in Perth Australia last night. AC Milan 2 AS Roma 5. Attendance 56,000
Great attendance that is. Was there many fans of both teams? Or mainly a lot of football fans there for the love of the game?
Lots of supporters from both teams but mainly football fans out to enjoy the game. We have had English clubs here over the years.
Would be great to see the Sky Blues at Optus Stadium. Thanks for keeping us City fans in far flung places informed
