You just saved my Bella from 🔥 - first thing I did, hang it with my other Hoyas in front of south facing window)) there was some doubts...good I checked this video! Thank You 🙏 for sharing !
Such a beautiful hoya 💚 I’ve got only variegated ones: H. bella albomarginata and H. cv. Luis Buis. Recently a small peduncle appeared on H. albomarginata, I hope it’ll bloom 😅🤞🏻
Oh, that's much better than having the plain one! Are they hardier? I always wanted to get one but nothing can ship to me under 20 days and I am afraid it won't make it.
Thank you so much for your videos! Im a beginner hoya parent. And starve for such source where i can find all hoyas at once. But. Can you pls do smth with the sound of your videos to make them perfect? Microphone maybe. Thanx again!
Thank you for watching! I am sorry the sound is annoying. I did end up upgrading and getting a microphone. Later in the series you will hear an improvement! And of course, in newer videos :)
Does it require humid environment? I live in Dubai and the temp is really high and when I heard that it love the low temp I thought to hang it close to the AC. Is this good idea?
It's very prone to spider mites so a bit more humidity does help. You can put it in a room with AC but perhaps not right next to it. Generally, the air coming from the AC is a bit cooler in order to cool the room and very dry so it won't really be all that good for the plant. But you can surely put it in the same room :) It's currently 26 degrees of Celsius in my plant room and 62% humidity and H. bella is perfectly fine with it. I hope this helps!
I tried to repot my Hoya Bella because the root ball is super firm but it wasn't letting go of the soil at allllll. 😂 I dunno if that's a problem? It seems pretty healthy but some of the leaves are a bit pale/yellowish - I think I exposed it to too much light 🙈 it's blooming lots though! 😂
No, I wouldn't worry about that too much. The potting mix it came in might make it easier for you because it holds on to moisture better and bella likes that :)
Basie Plants thank you so much 🤍 I actually dropped her and so many long branches snapped it was so sad but I have no experience with propagating. The leaves on the snapped stems are also quite soft instead of firm like when they're on the plant. Would I still be able to root it like that?
KC Oh, I am sorry to head that happened! You can easily propagate Hoya bella in distilled water - works all the time for me! They will hydrate in water again. They are probably softer because they are dehydrated a bit. They will firm up, especially when they develop new roots.
Basie I need your help 😭 my Hoya Bella's leaves have started yellowing now on the edges of the leaves, particularly towards the end of each stem (even on the shorter stems). It's sat at a North facing window with Western light also coming from a frosted glass door. The leaves feel firm so I don't think they're underwatered, but some are thin and papery in texture. It's putting out lots of healthy looking growth and is still blooming (although some flowers fall off easily if it's moved). I dunno what's wrong 😭
Miro what is going on with the name Hoya Lanceolata? I sometimes see this used on seller sites but the plant is Bella. How is a Bella a Lanceolata or not a Lanceolata? Can you straighten me out on this issue please?
@@kertmelinda i read or someone told me that hoya bella's new leaves turn yellow if we let them dry too much. I just got one today, so I have no experience about bella yet, but this is what I learned about her. This video is very helpful. Thank you! :]

I really love the bloom on the Bella.
Me too!
Love the Bella!!! Unfortunately, mine came with spider mites, how annoying!

Basie Plants They seem pretty easy, grow quite fast ☺️🌿 Hope you’ll be able to get a variegated H. bella soon!

Basie Plants Okayy thank you 🤍 will it work okay with tap water because I don't have access to any distilled water at the moment?

At 3:35 I’m pretty sure you said “ricotta” instead of “terracotta” 🤣 LOL
Ooopps. Maybe I was hungry? 🐷
I bought one and its like lime green... I think its dying
It could be pests or maybe watering issue. Hoya bella is prone to mites.
Hey, do you know why the new leaves are yellow? they're only yellow where the new growth is, so I don't think it's a watering issue
Have you checked for spider mites? Especially red spider mites (very small!)
@@BasiePlants yes, but there aren't any, haven't had them yet
