Even though you are only cooking sausages it's still interesting to watch your videos for the temperature guidance and how long to cook them for. I would like to thank all the people who have put videos on for various items showing how to cook them and for how long
I learned how to make simple toast in my AF thanks to random people putting it on RUclips ❤ of course, everything else I learned since has been added to my actual daily life
@@MelanieCooksRecipessame here since watching you. I rarely use my stove. So much heat standing in front of it. Set and walk away with air fryer. Love your videos.
Just tried this morning. Super helpful. Me and my son both thought they were cooked to perfection. Going to save me a lot of money going to Bob Evans when I can make the same things even better right at home. Thanks for the video.
Once again Melanie you make it straight forward. For curiosity, I looked at other sites. I couldn’t believe for breakfast sausages how many more (irrelevant) steps they put in imo. I’ve never had dud instructions from you Melanie. ❤
Love the air fryer recipes Melanie! These air fryer sausage links taste even better in the morning with some fried eggs while I'm in my Harry Potter bathrobe! Lol
I’m using it and I’ve had my air fryer for years and it’s fine, but if you’d rather not use the spray you can brush the basket with vegetable oil instead (or just omit the spray altogether)
No need to have certain amount of sausages, it will work the same with 5. Maybe check on them a few minutes earlier to make sure they don’t burn (air fryer cooks a little faster when there is less food in it)
@@MelanieCooksRecipes it’s an individual preference I’ve just been to the supermarket today to get some spray . Some products needed some don’t . I definitely think the corn on the cob does need a little bit of spray . The air fryer compared to the deep fat fryer is so much more healthy thank you for all the videos
Sausages have fat in them that melts out and prevents from sticking, but foods that don't have much fat need spray to keep from sticking. Yes, air fryer is so much healthier then deep frying!
@@MelanieCooksRecipes not trying to be a Karen just mine took longer to get brown lol so I just add a little more time to your recipes appreciate your info still keep up the good work 👍🏽

Agreed! Thank you youtubers
Now I can start eating breakfast in the morning! I do t know when I last used the stove since I got my air fryer!
Awesome! I also rarely use the stove these days, air fryer is so much easier to use!
Yep, I cleaned my oven the day I ordered my air fryer because I knew would not be using it again. Well, maybe a turkey at Thanksgiving!

Made these today. Had to cook for 13 minutes as my air fryer is a bit different, but came out perfectly. Thanks for the share.

Is yours the mini convection oven style? That's what I have and I'm hoping this will work.

Hi Melanie!were the sausages frozen or refridgerated? as that i assume would change time and temp on how long you need to cook them??
These were refrigerated. You can make frozen the same way, but add an extra 3-5 minuts to cooking time
Thank You for clarifying!

I never thought about cooking sausages, in the air fryer. You're very smart and another video well done.
Thank you so much, Charles! 🤗
Do you respond to questions about air fryers care & cleaning?
Yes, please post your question in my community at everydaycookingclub.com and I will personally respond!
This lady is just too good
🤗
Do you remove the plastic casing?
I don’t remove casing from individual sausages, it’s edible and not plastic
Was it already preheated?
I never preheat the air fryer :)
Amazing!
Thank you! 🤗
Isn't non stick spray bad for the air fryer since over time it damages the non stick coat the air fryer has already?
I’m using it and I’ve had my air fryer for years and it’s fine, but if you’d rather not use the spray you can brush the basket with vegetable oil instead (or just omit the spray altogether)
Thank you I'm only 13 and didnt know how to cook these lol didnt know how to use a air fryer i mean

Just finding this now, do you need to have a certain amount of sausages? I usually make like 5 in the morning and want to try this method.

What if the sausage is frozen? How much time should I add?
I'd add another 5 minutes for frozen, and shake them halfway through the cooking time to make sure they cook evenly
Is this from frozen or the fridge?
From fridge. You can cook frozen the same way, just add 3-5 minutes to cooking time
How many quarts is that fryer? 🤔
4 quarts
I love your accent.
thank you :)
@@MelanieCooksRecipes Are you Canadian?
no, I'm originally from Russia, have lived in Chicago area for over 20 years
I don’t think you need that spray . The natural oils of the sausages will stop them from sticking
You are right, I've made them without the spray recently and it was totally fine, didn't stick to basket
@@MelanieCooksRecipes it’s an individual preference I’ve just been to the supermarket today to get some spray . Some products needed some don’t . I haven’t used nonstick spray in my (new) air fryer once. I’ve used it at least 10 times and nothing sticks. (So far.)
You don’t need any kind of oil or spray for this..the sausages contain plenty of their own fat
I followed your video on pork chops they turned out great, definitely not cooking on the stove again
Awesome! I’m so happy you enjoyed the pork chops! 😋
Ookk
😊
I too have my air fryer outside. It ruined my kitchen wall, and my teens don’t listen to pull it from the wall
I can't believe the sausage went straight from the pack to the pan with no rinsing or anything and everyone is ok with that
CDC doesn't recommend washing meat before cooking, as the heat kills all the germs: bestlifeonline.com/washing-meat-news/

Should not use spray oil in an air fryer; will damage interior.
Thanks for the suggestion
You didn’t take these out halfway and shake em??
You can shake them halfway if you'd like, but I didn't because they cooked evenly anyway :) Shaking is not necessary for this particular recipe
You may want to actually chew the product and savor it before proclaiming “um amazing”.
I can taste the food as soon as it’s in my mouth!

She really said no sausage left behind lol sorry I’m high y’all
lol 🤣
Why do you cook outside
Why not, it looks like a beautiful day
why are air fryers just a recent invention?
I don’t know how I lived without it 😂
As soon as u said Cooking spray i closed the video, the point of the air fryer is to not add fats come on seriously.
Cooking spray doesn’t add much fat
Sprays like Pam damage the Air Fryer.
She said taste amazing before she tasted,, overall thanks
Lol once it’s in my mouth I can taste it right away! 🤣😋
You don't have to waste your video by putting the sausage in. Just get to the point

Recipe? All you did was stick the sausage into an air fryer. 🤣😂😅
Lol I provide temperature and timing, so that makes it a recipe!
All the instructions I have read for air fryers say DON'T SPRAY WITH AN AEROSAL OIL!!!! IT ruins THE TEFLON!
Great video
Glad you enjoyed it!
