Hello PokerGo .... big fan! Hello from Ecuador 🇪🇨 just my opinion. I will prefer if the video did not show the best part at the start. Great great content. You guys are bring Poker back to it glory!
Even if you never suspected that your opponent has the straight flush, the last card would have potentially given someone a full house, a higher straight, or a flush which would have beaten the straight your were holding. I guess, suspecting that a bluff was coming since Bill Klein was firing raises from the beginning was a good cover to great cards in hand.
I get Bonomo’s thinking, Klein’s fired every street into multiple players with each card changing the texture (and nuts) so drastically that he’s weighted to monsters or complete air. Bonomo is never chopping there, either winning or Losing. Just found the nuts, it happens.
The last card wouldn't have given a flush or a higher straight. There was only 1 diamond and there was already a 9. I agree with the full house though.
The full house coming in makes it more likely to be a bluff. Would you fire into this river with a hand like JT or a K high/ Q high flush? It's a very polarizing spot on such a dynamic board where someone triple barrels with the nutted hands seeming to change on every street.
Bonomo was crazy to make the river call. He had a bottom straight, no flush, no full house, no higher straight. And 1 blocking 10 in his hand. Klein fires on every street and on the river moves all in. Klein could have bluffed here, but I think it was more probable that he had a winning hand.
It's this tightness that made Bonomo call. He probably felt Klein doesn't value bet sets on the turn with the flush and straight coming in, and doesn't value bet flushes on the river with the board pairing. That makes it either a straight flush or nothing, so he gave Bill credit for having some bluffs there (I think he would too, maybe A of spades + a pair).
@@iambadatpickingusernames6669 agree with your comments bro. Bill has no reason to ever bet a set or two pairs on turn. Any decent player always check for pot control and take the free card, considering sb and bb have all the Tx. Question is then if Bill has flushes when he shoves and I actually think the answer is yes. I think you might leave too much value on the table if you check back nut flushes for instance. I think flushes with 9s like K9ss and Q9ss also should move in cause u block full houses. But I don't think u should shove everytime with a flush. You won't always get called by a 10 and both players in the blinds are fairly uncapped and could be trapping with a full house. And maybe some of the flushes I mentioned just check their flush draws on the flop. Idk, this is kind of complicated stuff tbh. Bonomo probably doesn't think Bill value shoves enough with flushes but gives him credit for some creative bluffs on the river. I can also understand why he called.
@@iambadatpickingusernames6669Klein is definitely capable of playing a nut flush this way, but there really aren't that many combos of nut flushes out there. AKss or a wheel Axss is the most likely hand to be played this way for value as you don't block hands like QT. Although with these stack sizes, Klein can easily still be getting it in with any nut flush. Even hands like Q9ss or K9ss can reasonably get it in on this river as you are blocking a lot of boat combos
Okay, Klein is capable of bluffing, but look at this spot: 3 barrels, multi-way till the end, super scary runout, vs top pros and, of course, zero natural bluffs...
Yeah I was thinking that. It's literally *the* hardest bluff to pull off. Tournament OR cash game... to barrel three times into two or more opponents. Even though I can see the board, it sort of feels like Klein starts barrelling to protect a set which ends up turning into a full house. I think I would put him on a set-turned-full house (if I stay there til the river). The all-in is the bluffy part obviously because you'd think a player would go for value (maybe half their stack/ half-and-a-bit-more pot) and I'm sure that's what Bonomo thought before calling. If you're calling with a bluff catcher to beat Klein though you have to really put him on J8 specifically if you think he hit the board, or the more random KQ JQ with a spade etc if you think he didn't.
@@liamnevilleviolist1809 Or he could have just put him on a 10, it's quite a large pot that is worth splitting if you think he's trying to push you off the same hand.
@@Bendrix27 Yes that's a possibility, something like J10 where the J is irrelevant. He was almost barrelling like he was holding 10spades and J/off and didn't want to give the flush drawers a free card, same thing again with the paired board on the river. Maybe Bonomo was thinking that.... Klein holding a weak hand on the flop, ended up getting a straight with just a 10 and was betting that turn to see if the other players had missed their flush. That's what got Bonomo in trouble in my opinion. That little tester bet (from Bonomo's point of view) but in reality it's a value bet, should've been an indicator that you need at least a baby flush or Q-high straight to continue with a chance of not going broke. After thinking about it a little: I reckon Bonomo *wouldn't* have called if it was a high stakes cash game.
@@liamnevilleviolist1809 yeah initially I was like why didn't he go for thin value try for 2 calls. But then I thought he hoped someone boated on river and would warrant getting max value. Either way I root for him good guy
For those of you who don't play on a high level, there is a reason Bonomo found a call here. Klein barreled the turn into 2 people, which means he primarily has a flush OTT and not much else. Once the board pairs OTR Klein can almost never have a full house because all of his sets and two pairs would check the turn IP at near 100% frequency. This mean Klein's shove OTR represents a full house or better. However, Klein doesn't have any full houses so realistically his only value shoves are QTss, T9ss, and maybe A9ss. But it's unlikely Klein ever shoves a nut flush for value but would almost certainly check or bet smaller. So he is repping literally a straight flush and nothing else. The question is does Klein have any bluffs with this line? Maybe, maybe not. Considering he is a billionaire maybe he does have the occasional bluff or two here. Who knows. So the call isn't that crazy
Klein isn't a billionaire. Regardless of the high level analysis (if anything its over analysis), the call is still a huge reach against a player like Klein. Bonomo didn't play this well.
All in was about a 60% pot bet. Hard to bet any other amount there, as sometimes downbetting and leaving yourself with only like 200k can represent even more strength
@@TheGuyCalledX that was Peter's point. A shove looks like maybe he's trying to steal the pot. A smaller bet looks like he's got the nuts and is hoping for more value.
Klein’s fired every street into multiple players with each card changing the texture (and nuts) so drastically that he’s weighted to monsters or complete air. Bonomo is never chopping there, either winning or Losing. Just found the nuts, it happens.
At first I thought it was just a clear fold for Bonomo on the river. However, I realized that Klein should basically have no full houses in his range, since all sets and two pairs should check the turn. The problem is that Klein has so many flushes in his range: AKs - A2s (except AJs, A8s, and A7s, obviously), KQs, KTs, QTs, and of course T9s. Maybe even some baby flushes if he's feeling frisky. He could also potentially be going for super thin value with QT for the nut straight, which Bonomo loses to as well. Ultimately, I think there's just too many value hands and too few bluffs for Bonomo to call this.
I agree with the analysis on Klein's range not containing full houses. But Bonomo probably doubted that Klein would shove river with a flush as both Foxen and Bonomo could easily have a full house and it is hard to get value from worse. Thus, there is pretty much only one value combo in Klein's perceived range (109s).
If Klein is any good, he ought to be able to balance his bluffs and value hands, so if he has too many value hands to bet them all and be balanced, he won’t. Hence it’s not that simple.
It's a very suspicious line to bet into four people on the flop, then to bet into three people after the flush and straights come in on the turn, and then to bet again on the river after the board pairs.
With that many spades on the board everyone had to worry about a flush at least. But it’s hard to walk away from a lock straight. Well played by Klein.
I was thinking through it and what I'm guessing Bonomo was thinking was that a set (now a boat) or two pair would've likely raised such a connected flop to deny equity from draws. A flush, after the river pairs would try to get to a cheaper show down and may either down bet or check. I think that's how he put him on a bluff, though I could be wrong.

Best player in this Generation? How will you know this? It‘s fishy to come to this assumption because of Tournament-results… This is a bad play. Everybody understanding Poker knows that. So does Bonomo, i guess.
@@coverdadon maybe it was a stretch to refer to him as the Best Player, but I think the majority of the point here holds. The call was reasonable and everyone suggesting that an accomplished player like Bonomo is making foolish plays needs to consider whether maybe their own poker mind is not at the same level as Bonomo's.
@@iamamish Poker is no rocket-science. There are thousands of people with a deep understanding of poker. Bonomo is a realy good player, but this play is bad. Exspezially the fact that he is in a good Chip-Position with an edge over the field makes that a realy bad decision.
Hell he was beat with so many other hands, that should’ve been insta fold. 10/6 off suit he deserved to get his balls busted on that one. Larger straight, flush, and boat on board and he took 5 minutes to deliberate his tournament life lol

What can you beat tho? Flush gets there, board pairs and a four card straight as well. That size bet at the end really polarizes his range. So a straight isn't a great hand.
Originally i thought it was a really bad call from Bonomo, but now I’m not so sure. i really think Bonomo thought Klein was giving him a tough decision to chop. He figured Klein was using his table rep to blow him off an even hand. The call equity wasn’t ideal but it definitely wasn’t horrible. Definitely a bit of a mini hero call but hey sometimes you have to protect your stack from the nitty players
My last poker game, nothing wild 5 card draw. I had 4 natural queens. I would have bet my house on that hand, but I didn't. Now what can beat 4 queens; 4 kings, and 4 aces right? This was a hand in a life time. My nemesis drew a 4 5 6 7 and 8 of hearts. I was stunned. I never played poker again. This was a legal game, so I paid my legal debt.
My favourite hand 10 9 of spades :) Congrats to Bill, who by all accounts is one of the nicest people around, and donates either his winnings or his buy in to charity. Justin should never be calling in that spot.....at the very best he was chopping, and there was a significant chance he was losing. Bill is never going all in with anything less than a 10 in his hand, and with the board texture as it stood, there were possible boats, higher straights and any spade flush was beating him. A rare mistake from Justin.
Klein checking his cards after the turn was absolutely showmanship. He wanted those guys to think he wasn't ever betting into a flush draw. He knew exactly what cards he had. Pure genius poker.
Kinda hilarious that despite them all being professional poker players, they still need to keep on checking if their cards remains the same the whole time . Psychological game or waiting for magic to happen? 😂😂😂
Klein looks like the only normal person at the table. The only old fearless guy who wants to play live. Those guys are so ridiculous with those things on their faces. We even have a face shield over there lol how are people so hypochondriac?
This would’ve been a tough one. Everyone limped preflight then a follow up 60k on the flop then another bet on the turn. Not a lot of information meaning you’ve got to dig deep into your notebook over past hands. With the lack of information, it’s a fold. I can’t bet into a hand of uncertainty. There is just to many cards out there that can beat 9 10
Didn't think anyone would call overbet on river. Bad call rewarded by a bad raise with nuts. Should have value bet river and then hoping for a re-raise would have been a better percentage there you would think.
In his position you want to get value. If you go all in at the turn then all may fold. You hope that they hit the flush or full house. But if they don't hit you still want to either squeeze a little more out of them or go all in hoping they hit something and just can't fold it, but going all in runs the risk of them folding because you bet too much, then you lose from being able to squeeze that little extra that you could have got if you didn't go all in.
I don't fault Bonomo for anything except the call at the end. Flush, boat and even a bigger straight (though not likely) beat him. He's basically calling for a chop. He is almost never winning this hand.
He's obviously not calling because he thinks he can beat a value bet of any kind, that shouldn't even need to be stated. He's bluff catching, and something clearly got to him in the hand to make him think that Bill could be bluffing, even against the logic of how the hand played out and Bill's play style. Sometimes you have a gut feeling and it's wrong, this was one of those times.
Something convinced Bonomo, it could have been as basic as thinking when Klein looked at this cards on the turn he was checking for the spade. Why couldn't Klein have had AsAx through QsQx in that spot? Seems like that would play the same way and potentially turn it into a river bluff, especially with AA nut spade blocker.
Worst decision by Bonomo was to overcall on the turn after Foxen already called the bet. Can’t really blame him for being confused by the line Klein took on that runout at the end - given the situation only T9s and maaaaybe A9s made sense to play for value like that.
klein actually made a bad play checking his cards after the flush board came. if i had a straight and he checked his cards and bet i would probably fold. also i dont think i would have gone all in on the river, but it paid off.
Klein never has full house or quads, because no 2pair/set combos bet on turn. Klein probably does not bet A high flush on river as it is hard to get called by worse + both Foxen and Bonomo have a lot of full houses. So Klein is left with literally 1 value combo while Bonomo is getting a great price.
Inherent in probability is the rare and highly improbable. Occasionally three players also all have flushes. It has happened to me on the winning side and on the losing side, and I have seen it happen to others.
Very surprised that Bonomo calls river. Also that he continued on the turn. I mean if you’re bonomo best case you are thinking Klein could be bluffing with a high spade/x here and bluff catching. But Klein could also be turning his hand into a bluff. He could have a Ten with the Ace/King of spades. He could have taken that exact same line by betting into 3 guys on earlier street. So you have to commit all that money to chop?! I mean it’s extremely ambitious to think Klein would be bluffing here with air. At best he has at least a Ten with a spade to be able to continue post flop and betting into the field in position is far different than LEADING into the field. Klein bet after others checked which probably swayed Bonomo into a call on the river because it mimics the line a player would take who had a hand like a high spade/X. Klein also knew that a full house was nearly impossible as he blocked the majority of the realistic full houses anyone could have. MAYBE MAYBE 88 is possible but unlikely given the post flop action. So betting the turn with the nuts there in position was the key play and got him paid on river. Nine seemed like an action killer for Klein but it just decreased the likelihood that someone has a boat, thereby reducing the hand options as either nothing or the NUTS that Klein held. Klein is a bit of a stubborn-esque player. He pays ppl off all the time with strong hands but well played this time
One of the questions you ask yourself is, "what can I beat." There's 3 to a flush on board, a pair, and potential for higher straights. The chances that he had the best hand were slim.
I agree its a terrible call, but Klein's reputation is that he overvalues his hands MASSIVELY. thats probably what made bonomo call, the idea that klein can still shove a naked T here.
It's a good call, it doesn't make sense that he bets so large in the turn and jams river when the 9 repeats in a three way river, it's the nuts or nothing. btw Addamo basically won the tournament when he called Kleins bluff

I mean, seriously. Bonomo is one of the most amazing players around. If anyone thinks they are better, I'm sure there are lots of games looking for a fis^H^H expert players.
Best player in this Generation? How will you know this? It‘s fishy to come to this assumption because of Tournament-results…
This is a bad play. Everybody understanding Poker knows that. So does Bonomo, i guess.
@@coverdadon well said
@@coverdadon maybe it was a stretch to refer to him as the Best Player, but I think the majority of the point here holds.
Well deserved by the man who gives so much, if not all, of his winnings to charity.
I don't know why bonomo was even thinking so long especially when the 9 came up a full house would've beat him
Hell he was beat with so many other hands, that should’ve been insta fold. 10/6 off suit he deserved to get his balls busted on that one. Larger straight, flush, and boat on board and he took 5 minutes to deliberate his tournament life lol
@@2ndhandsmokingbbq579 If only poker decision making just involved determining what hands beat you. Every RUclips keyboard warrior is a genius.
Watching the poker vids, training the game all while listening to music that makes me sharp and able to achieve. I like Delta Parole, AFi, etc as music, what you guys listen to focus I am curious?
Pleasing to see even Bonomo can get it badly wrong!
The way he said the stone cold biscuits made me crack up
I just want someone to look at me the way Foxen looks at Bonomo 😔 😂
I would’ve folded against Klein’s straight flush…says every professional poker player within these comments!
What can you beat tho? Flush gets there, board pairs and a four card straight as well.
That size bet at the end really polarizes his range.
So a straight isn't a great hand.
I love how sad and hopeless klein looks the whole time haha
he's like oh well : /
Originally i thought it was a really bad call from Bonomo, but now I’m not so sure. i really think Bonomo thought Klein was giving him a tough decision to chop. He figured Klein was using his table rep to blow him off an even hand. The call equity wasn’t ideal but it definitely wasn’t horrible. Definitely a bit of a mini hero call but hey sometimes you have to protect your stack from the nitty players
Did you just call Bill Klein a nit? Lolol go back to the $1-$2 game big guy.
I lost on line with a queen high straight flush. I went all in expecting NO WAY anyone can beat me. Well villain had the King high straight flush.
@@paulpena5040 Thanks for the reply. I am still not playing poker. There are some real horror stories out there and yours is one of theme
The straight flush is my favorite poker hand I mean the royal is great too but there’s something about the straight flush that gets me
For me, my favorite hand and the most sexy hand is 4 of a kind. Idk, I just love quads
Klein checking his cards after the turn was absolutely showmanship. He wanted those guys to think he wasn't ever betting into a flush draw. He knew exactly what cards he had. Pure genius poker.
He bet 140k on the turn. 3:50
@MDL FNGR I said he checked his cards, as in looked at them. Not he checked his action. I should have been more clear.
Would love to see Mr. Klein win this MTT!!!
Love the way he said the stone cold biscuits.
"Nut bad runout". I love Nick Schulman.
Kinda hilarious that despite them all being professional poker players, they still need to keep on checking if their cards remains the same the whole time . Psychological game or waiting for magic to happen? 😂😂😂
You'd be surprised how easily we forget what our card are🤣🤣
Same thing happens to me when I call in big blind and get sucked into the hand until rhe river
Can't believe these guys made it to the final table
That’s why they call it “gambling”. 🤑
Klein looks like the only normal person at the table. The only old fearless guy who wants to play live. Those guys are so ridiculous with those things on their faces. We even have a face shield over there lol how are people so hypochondriac?
Bill Klein is just a consummate gentleman.
what are you wearing Foxen
Nice hand for sure
Klein getting full oxygen to the brain
The chances that he's beat are pretty high. He should have folded on the turn.
He's obviously not calling because he thinks he can beat a value bet of any kind, that shouldn't even need to be stated. He's bluff catching, and something clearly got to him in the hand to make him think that Bill could be bluffing, even against the logic of how the hand played out and Bill's play style. Sometimes you have a gut feeling and it's wrong, this was one of those times.
nice visor . What a plum
9-10 suited, my favorite hand.
My favorite part was getting to hear the table talk at the end over the announcers 🙄
Foxen looking like a serial killer in the making there...
foxen in that plastic shield sitting next to 73 yr old Bill who is just chilling like a boss lol clown world
I like it when good dudes like ol chap win
That was a bad call from a great player, nobody’s perfect
commentator does not realize [@5.29] the STRAIGHT FLUSH!!
Clear face shield for Foxen because he wants everyone to see his beautiful face...
Good commentary there
That's I'm calling 'old school'
Something convinced Bonomo, it could have been as basic as thinking when Klein looked at this cards on the turn he was checking for the spade. Why couldn't Klein have had AsAx through QsQx in that spot? Seems like that would play the same way and potentially turn it into a river bluff, especially with AA nut spade blocker.
Love grandpa Bill
Worst decision by Bonomo was to overcall on the turn after Foxen already called the bet. Can’t really blame him for being confused by the line Klein took on that runout at the end - given the situation only T9s and maaaaybe A9s made sense to play for value like that.
klein actually made a bad play checking his cards after the flush board came. if i had a straight and he checked his cards and bet i would probably fold. also i dont think i would have gone all in on the river, but it paid off.
please let us hear what they’re talking about..
The Stone Cold Biscuits
It would be so annoying siting next to Foxen. Constantly staring into your soul
and wearing that stupid face shield
I would like to understand what's happening in that head to finally call. Bonomo one of the best of all times.
Bill still probably the first player to get knocked out from that table
He's just having fun
He was. Lol He got into a really stupid hand with Adamo
@@ogkev7825 He nearly made Addamo fold!
@@ogkev7825 that was the most incredible hand of the whole event. Anything but stupid.
@@Romans8-9 that’s very true but NGL in poker almost means nothing.

3 straights in a High Roller Bowl, we are living in a very poorly veiled simulation. You can't fool me you silly quantum computing aliens!
He pays ppl off all the time with strong hands but well played this time
Really? 'Stone cold biscuits"...I've been playing poker for 45 plus years...Never heard that used before...it's "NUTS"
One of the first time I see him +
The reason why poker gone unfashionable for some players ..ridiculous ammount of time to play 1 hand ...that's 6 hands an hour...fucking ridiculous
Lol
Atta boy.Billy boy!!!
No better feeling...
Thinking so long..its either flush or full house..wat r u thinking?
Great pot to a great man
Tbf, if AQ would have raised preflop, the straight flush would have likely made much less money here.
Nice windshield fox
Everything in the world smacks Bonomo in the face on that board and he calls off almost 500k against Klein who has a super tight reputation
He's not tight, i have seen him making crazy big bluffs for huge amounts in cash game.
I don't know much but Klein seems pretty cool dude.
