Very interesting. I work at a contract manufacturer, where we have 7 different models if tablet presses from 4 different manufacturers. About 25 presses in total. Including an old Fette. Not counting coating pans or encapsulating machines. We have an entire floor dedicated to blending formulas, seperate from the machines. Having such a large variety of machines demands a method of operating that is suitable for all machines. If our company would consider a new Fette machine, we would be faced with a dilemma. Do we uproot our working methods to benefit the new machine? Or do we adapt the new machine to be compliant to our generic working methods? The last option is considerably cheaper, our entire building is built around those generic working methods. But that means we can't have the benefits of these newly developed machines.
