Honestly, I always felt that most clothes in Zara are not very flattering on our body type, and in all these years I have barely managed to find anything that fits me well… and of course the prices are insanely high.
Thanks aanam, it so refreshing to see a content creator I have been following since my teenage years, actually discuss geopolitics, in my young adulthood because it very relevant. It affects humans, so many people we know or don’t know so much. And I am more than satisfied to finally have these conversations on more mainstream content. Everything is politics whether we like it or not! Zara to begin w is pure business. They don’t care. At all. For Zara, money speaks and that is all that matters. They are the ones to exploit the concept of fast fashion and funding sweat shops all over East Asia, especially. Just oppressing human rights, minting money at the cost of sustainability of this planet. Even without the political debate Zara is a down right shit company. The quality of fabric is sub par, so synthetic, the stitching is sub par, the designs are stolen. I don’t see, literally a single reason to buy from them. Even if the clothes photograph well, that photograph captures so much disgust that I feel it’s not worth associating w something that just “looks good”. As for their recent campaigns, it’s just an extension of the tone deaf nature of dumb brands like these. Since seeing your journey coping w the horrific war, I feel this can be a catalyst for someone as aware and conscious as you to just quit these stupid companies and explore the brighter side. None of the pieces aanam honesty were worth the money, you know it, as a owner of a clothing line yourself. They are just robing common man’s hard earned money in exchange of literal crap. I promise you there are better brands out there, more honest, more sustainable, giving back to the society…and not necessarily more expensive!! It’s just for us to find out and explore that realm. I am already on that journey and thrifting in India is tough but really fun. Every piece is a story in that sense and I love it and enjoy the experience so much. I am sure someone’s like you will too. I really hope you return everything and never go back to them because frankly girl, YOU DESERVE BETTER.

Zara literally lost its respect from our eyes. No more zara for lifetime. I have stopped shopping from fast fashion brands in general because of the entire host of other issues associated with them. Wouldn't tell you what to do but the barrage of haul videos by some creators has irritated me to the point of just selecting "do not recommend" because I hate this trend of just asking people to buy more more and more.

Hey, about the sling back shoes, keep in mind that we all have one foot smaller than the other, so it’s not necessarily the shoes that’s the problem, but our foot size being different on each side.

I think u should stop consuming and using products supporting or related to Israel in anyways. Dnt knw about others but my family and people around has definitely stopped buying anything related to them and I think this is the one thing we can do to support Palastine despite our donations and duas. U being an influencer can make a big difference and hope u'll do so.

Personally, influencers should just say no to fast fashion in general. That being said, I know it's easier said than done. However, one has to look at the bigger picture.

I had stopped buying from Zara after that campaign. It was truly atrocious and even if it was filmed prior to it I am certain there is someone in place who reviews campaigns prior to releasing it. It was immoral and unethical of the brand , not to mention ZARA’s quality and stiching is really not on par with rhe pricing. So bye for me and I’m glad you are a conscious content creator who takes the initiative to research and takes a stand for morality. 👍🙌

No matter what .. people will not stop buying from Zara.. Considering the fact that they have apologised and it was not intentional..
Saying this because the other day I went to a mall and saw Zara store full and long lines for checkout. Just understand that Zara is not killing people . They made a mistake and they apologised for it . Thats all… just be kind .. be kind to the hands that make these clothes; people who work at the back end. They will lose jobs if this keeps happening.
Just clearing that I am not supporting them in any way and not a big fan too. Just buy once in a while.

I do think we need to hold the brand accountable. I don't know if you should shop from them or not or if you want to return the clothes, go marie kondo on your wardrobe, but I DO thing that posting about them is on the nose. For 300k people to see the brand's name on your channel or for whoever aspires to be like you, watching the video itself can be confusing. I wouldn't lecture you on your relationship going forward with the brand, and whether your decisions are right or wrong. I do think though that this video shouldn't have been uploaded. Or at the very least, better/more explanatory titles used #wearfam

Thank you for being open to hearing other perspectives. I think the way you shed light on the issue in the beginning couple minutes is appreciable. However, not everyone will click on the video and actually hear your take. The title would come across almost as grabby - as if Zara's fashion wasn't great or for other frivolous reasons like that. Secondly, the thumbnail, IMO is also so happy and excited, it just gives me the vibe that what is projected in the thumbnail+title vs what your thoughts on the issue are - are discordant. Towards the end (yes, I watch every video to the end even if it is not something I am perfectly fond of) is the idea of separating the art from the artist. In this case we have to look at zara as a brand. part of a multi million portfolio - there isn't anything "artist" about the brand - as opposed to the personal brand of a creator. The promotion pieces of Zara were a BUSINESS decision. Not personal beliefs etc that everyone is entitled to have. I personally own a lot of zara, including every colour in the first shirt you bought and I will perhaps continue to buy, even though i wont be raving about them to friends as i usually did in the past. I also feel that I am just holding you to a higher standard because you are a creator and influencer. @@AanamC

Also , Zara being a global brand should’ve known better before releasing a campaign that controversial. When it comes to boycotting the brand I believe every individual has their personal perspective and opinion. But we can shop from multiple other brands since Zara isn’t an absolute necessity to survive fashion.
The team at Zara should’ve been more aware and I’m sure shooting another campaign for a brand of their scale wouldn’t be an issue compared to what they face now.

The sling backs fitting differently on both feet might be because one of your feet is bigger than the other. My left foot is ONE SIZE bigger than my right one - yup, you can read that again. 😅so when i try on shoes, i have to try them on in my left foot 😂😂

I would like to talk about on a lighter note about this haul.
I loved a lot of pieces and didn’t like few.
The green shirt looks amazing. These shirts are little loose fitted and looks nice tucked in or tied up. I have 5 of them in different colours and are perfect to pair with different.
I too have the blue play suit and while trying i also thought it was a dress and wore exactly like you did putting both legs in one side 🤣 You got it on discount that’s great and paid full price for it and didn’t find it worth for 3400 🙈
Also loved all the footwear’s that you have got. I have never been lucky to grab good footwear on sale from zara 🙈 The black heel with a bow has to be my fav 😍❤

I do think I’m today’s world where most brands are reducing quality and increasing price, I want to affiliate with the values the brand. Big names and big brands need to set examples and stand for what is right. It isn’t about a religious choice but choosing peace over violence

Look at how are they sending their pieces now, all crumpled and un ironed. So bad zara, so bad. When I receive garment like this, its an instant put off

Separating the Art from the Artist is definitely hard. I don’t know that I think of brands the same way as I do artists since it’s not a one person show like in the case of creators on RUclips or Instagram but I think everyone should do as their conscience prompts them when it comes to supporting anyone or anything.
Hi aanam, usually I don’t comment but about the Zara thing I don’t know like I’ve seen their models posing mindlessly every time and every time they’re hilarious but the last shoot I agree somewhere it resembled for which anyway that should not have posted it but since they apologised I believe people should forgive them as I don’t think so that they purposely did it. Everyone should definitely boycott companies who are funding war but boycotting Jews as a race is not right and it is not even feasible as they’re in most of the things including the social media which we use. This are just my personal opinion. ❤
