the normal size of the java finch is 5 to 6 inches.
the average weight of java finch is 25 grams.
the average lifespan of java finch is 5 to 10 years.
they live in crowds at wild.
the grey java finches are the one and only orginal mutation and the others are artificially breeded.
for breeding we want one male and female java finches.
the difference between male and female java finches are :-
1. the male java finches have bright red colour large beaks, when compared to female java finches.
2. the male java finches have bright red colour eye ring in their eye.
seed mix for java finches(while breeding) :-
1. millets
2. senthenai
3. samai
4. padi
fruits for java finches(while breeding) :-
1. carrot
2. beetroot
3. beans
normally finches are very much in mealworms and other insects. so, you can specially give to all mutation.
calcuim rich foods(while breeding) :-
1. cuttle fish bone
2. calcuim rock
3. mineral rock
(any one of these must be always inside the java finch cage).

sunlight is important for java finches.it requires atleast two to three hours sunlight
java finch can be easily breeded.
we can breed yearly three times a java finch pair.
the minimum cage size for java finches should be 2×1 feet.
while breeding java finches, don't allow any animals like dog, cat to disturb them, because of this problem. their is the chances of breeding can be stopped.
java finch is a type of finches. so, it requires nesting materials for breeding.
you can give african lovebirds pot size for java finches. so, it will be nice.
for pairing java finches you can choose semi adult birds adapt to any places.(the semi adult age is 8 to 9 months).
breeding :-
after mating, the java finches lay eggs in 7 to 10 days.
it will lay 4 to 8 eggs.
the incubation time for java finches are 14 days.
after waiting for 16 days, we can remove the unfertilized egg.
it takes 21 to 30 days, for the baby java finches to come out of the nest.
we can separate the baby java finches after 50 days.
