I think a road trip is the best way to truly start on your new journey! Plus I think New York will feel more like home when you get there after your long trek 😂 Take your time with your travel and genuinely enjoy yourselves - you may never have the opportunity to see most of the US again!

Come to Colorado!!!! It’s freaking beautiful, we*d is legal here as well, and Denver is super rad! Tons to do, there’s a new meow wolf that opened recently! It’s just realllllllly dope! I would definitely round up the homies and come to a podcast show!! (ALSO, Kristen, come to find, we have the same exact birthday! March 28th - but I’m 30, so I’m an old lady. It’s fine.)

I'm in upstate NY. And as for road tripping to get here, my best friend moved to Texas from NY earlier this year, and that's what she did. She didn't get an RV but had a UHAUL and took a few days to get to Texas with her bf. They made a whole trip out of moving and, while it was, stressful or annoying at times, I think it helped make the experience even more enjoyable for her.

Just binged the first 7 days of vlogmas and perfect fuggin’ timing because right when I finished 7 you uploaded 8! All dogs are super different, but personal experience is anxious dogs don’t do well on planes. Get that rv!

We always had an RV in our family, I suggest getting one with a pop out so that when you park you have more room to walk/relax! You just need to plan ahead your stops along the way for campsites to hook up and dump the tank. Also, some highways don’t allow trucks on them so you need to check that your route is RV friendly :)

You can definitely do a road trip! My bf and I did the drive from South Texas to NYC back in July! We had our 4 year old Chocolate Labrador with us too!

omg YES!! when i was a baby i moved from LA/sacramento to maryland (now in michigan GO GREEN!!) and it was so crazy it was my 4 y/o booty, my 3 y/o bro, 2 dogs and my parents in a tiny van i have so many funky memories. hope you do it, such a fun memories.

You should talk to Erin about where she and TJ rented their RV from when they road tripped from LA to the east coast. They did lots of research on where to stop and everything, and they had their dog with them too so I’m sure Erin could definitely give you some tips ♥️
Also, who knows if you would even have to drive anywhere near this direction to get to NY, but Arkansas! I would literally die to meet you. I have followed you on social media for years, and truly feel like you’re a friend I just haven’t met in real life ♥️

For the road trip, you should look up places that are worth stopping on the route and then you can stay there for a day. It will prob add time to the drive but you will prob never go back to some of the places you are passing.
hi kristen! i work at a cat clinic and we recommend gabapentin for kitties traveling across the country. our sister hospital does the same for dogs. it is a drug but it’s a really minor sedative and may be worth it to keep Link from being miserable and stressed! It’s totally something you can call your vet about:) happy holidays!
