Great run in the heat. I went off in the 5k at 8:50am and it was already too hot. 13 miles in those conditions is an achievement in itself! Well done mate 🥵

Well done Chris. 1:35 is still a cracking time too, if I get that in my Sept and Oct halfs I'd be happy with that. Appreciate you've got more speed in you and I bet come London in October the temperature will be more favorable for you. Looks like a nice event, these smaller events are becoming more popular now.

Well done Chris, great effort. It is amazing just how much heat effects effort levels when your body is not adapted to it. I could not start my long run until 10am yesterday and I paid the price. I wanted to give up half way but told myself this would be good training for later in the summer. The same is true for your race.

Hi Chris, Congrats on the half marathon. A great effort given the hills and heat. You were right to pull back a bit in the conditions. No sense creating problems for the future. London is the big goal and you want to be in the best shape to enjoy that event and day. Do you have a time that you are targeting for London? What are the conditions likely to be? Hopefully more appropriate for the longer distance. How are you going with the balance at home. Hopefully things are working out well. Thanks for the great content. All the best, Phil

Hi Chris, the damage is a side effect of chemo therapy. I'm told that Alpha Lipoic Acid and Turmeric may help me improve but I will also have a residue of numbness. I can live with that. For the moment just happy to lace up the shoes and move again. There are alot of folks who don't get that chance.@@ThatRunningGuy
