I LOVE seeing the officers take the time out of their day to interact with the kids. They genuinely seem to enjoy that kind of stuff and aren't just doing it to check off a box. Officer Bethel seems like a great officer!

God Bless this one, and his squad mates. He has chosen a hard path. I suspect this man could make his way up in any avenue of the world but the fact that he has chosen such a role speaks highly of him. Tulsa is lucky to have the people they seem to get against all odds.

as an almost 11 year old who wants to get into the field of law enforcement these ride along videos really help me to see what i would be most likely getting into

I live in Tulsa and the cops really do go out of their way to interact with the kids. I was taking my two-year-old son somewhere a month or so ago and there were quite a few Tulsa cops there and when we entered the building there were several cop standing in the entrance talking to each other and as soon as my son and I entered they all stopped their conversation and each one took the time to have a cute quick little interaction with my son and fist bump him and each one complimented my son on something to and you could tell my son was just so excited and happy to be acknowledged by them.
Then, we had a pretty long ways to want to get to the elevator as we were needing to get to the 5th floor and on our walk we had passed another Tulsa cop who my son waved at and immediately got a huge smile, a wave, and a "hey little buddy!! Lookin sharp today!!" Which my son also got a kick out of. But you could tell this officer was in a hurry to get to wherever he was going and had a stack of papers in his hand and had been power walking through the building so we kept it brief and just kept walking so he could get to where he needed to be. As we finished our walk to the elevators and I let my son push the button to wait for the elevator we stood there for probably 1 or 2 minutes waiting and when the doors open we walked in and I let my son push the correct Flor number. As the doors to the elevator we're closing I can hear the sound of boots approaching very loudly and quickly in almost a Sprint and right before the doors came to a complete close a hand reached inside very quickly and stop it. The doors open and I noticed it was the cop that we had just had the brief interaction within the hallway. He stepped inside the elevator and got down on his knees to my son's level and had another cute little interaction with him and brought my son a little toy badge to wear and a couple of stickers and another cute little cop toy my son was so excited once again and gave that cop the biggest smile and hug. My son was so happy and excited and wear his badge for the next week. I just thought it was so awesome that that cockpit even in the middle of him being rushed for his own responsibilities, he not only acknowledged my son, but he took the time to rush and grab a little bad for him and run all the way back down I'm very long and crowded Hall in hopes of finding us and even went as far as to stop the elevator and get in with us just to make sure my baby had an awesome and counter and experience with the police. It's those types of interactions that will have kids growing up having a positive outlook on police instead of all that negative that is put out there
this is cool. in 96 I was a Tulsa police explorer! After I graduated from Jenks high school I wanted to go to the police academy but my mom got sick so we moved back to Washington State. after she passed I was going to move back to Tulsa but I was in a depressed mode and I just stayed here. but anyway it's cool to see videos from Tulsa. keep up the great work.
I wish I could do a ride along with you guys but I have certain medical issues that prevent that. I love our TPD men and women. You guys are rockstars and you prove it every day but especially in the hard times like July 2020 and May 2022. 💙💙💙🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸

Can't help but notice officer Bethal really highlights that officers should prioritize physical fitness. On his first call you can definitely tell that his two backup officers need to lay off the junk food and starting running on a treadmill. Can't expect Bethal to do all the foot pursuits
I just wanted to thank God for any law enforcement that try to honor their oath to the public and the Constitution.
Removing the corruption within, would be a good thing. I pray for the safety of those who go out to fight the "bad guys" every day.
