Switched to the V Max Plus for work and it's been amazing. The Dimensity chip handles all my demanding apps with ease, and the massive storage space is a lifesaver.
This is why i so miss LG where I had microSD. And all these thin ass phones, I do not care, give me more batter and an SD card will not add that much thickness. Many phones did it. My last LG G8 was fine and I had microSD. Not just Google and Samsung, Apple which was my biggest gripe why I never went iPhone because at least Blackberry and Android had microSD. But then Samsung and Google started going the way of Apple so I stuck with LG then damn they stopped making phones and so now with Motorola RAZR. This phone would be great to have even if just for travel , esp camping or for emergencies during any possible weather event. And it actually looks quite nice. I still miss that Blackberry light alerting you have a message or even better on Blackberry you could color code the light to show you what kind of new message you had.
Not a bad phone. Have been using now for about a week. Only issue is the IMEI DooGee V Max Plus gives is NOT usable with at&t or Verizon if you use these networks. Works nicely with T-Mobile although for some reason it's captured as an iphone 6+ under account info ... somewhat weird. Am very familiar with Android OS so I can say for certain it resembles samsung or galaxy models running similar OS. Night vision cam works too ~ wicked. Memory expansion does go to 20, so unsure about others disbelief or push back in that regard. All in all, not a bad experience for the price. Almost everyone I come across while using it is always popping questions based on curiosity ~ that said, it's turning heads.
Straight Talk kicked my Last Doogee off their network even though when I bought it, it was dry up for Verizon, but they say it was bcus the phone wasn't 5g. I'm planning on using this one on Google Fi... do u know whether or not it'll work on it?
@getondwn I don't. I ended up returning mine after trying it for a little over a week. Although it uses an Android platform for some reason it didn't contain any Samsung apps like for texting. Wasn't able to download & install/use either which rubbed me wrong. Bottom line, went with an S24 Ultra as I knew it had everything I wanted. Hope this helps
Me and my wife got two of them and saved 800$ she was going to get the new s25 but after mine not being on the charger for 2 days and still above 60% she knew she needed it lol
But what about that benchmark score ? Tha s24 is miles ahead of this phone in terms of processing i wanted to buy a king kong X which is similar to this phone but im not so sure now
Guess that makes sense. Who can fill up 512 gb of memory and needed more. 😅 I have an S21 256gb and I'm at 200gb used so far over 3 years of use. No reason to fill it up more.
@@chuckh4077 speed of reading from/writing to internal storage is significantly slower that RAM. So I would not want it to virtually extended operational memory to 36 GB. 16 will probably be enough anyway. It's about double of average I'd say.
I have the previous version v max. Best phone I ever had. It can work with four Sims. I went to Romania last year. Charged the phone before I left. Used it as navigator driving to airport and in Romania as navigator. After five days I still had 25 percent battery. also signal is better than an iPhone 15 pro. Problems are the camera on the previous version was mediocre and speakers were not loud. Although it seems the tank pro 3 is better than v max plus. Although two times more expensive....
Phone is great. But I hope they add some simple features on next upgrade. 1-small led light for selfie /front. 2-MagSafe wireless charging capability. 3- cell phone signal booster. The big battery can handle signal amplifier. Signal booster will be great for many peoples that using phones for taxi, Uber, Lyft, Amazon drivers.
I have the doogee vmax and I love the phone, the only downfall is that the screen is super low light and extremely hard to see in the daylight, does the vmax plus fix this issue?
I just bought it on eBay for $60 cheaper than their website. Once I get it I’ll let you know if it was worth the $550 (w 2-year insurance). The most attractive part was the battery and the bulk-ness. I have always been attracted to exaggerated sized phones like Phablets. This is not one but it is just as bulky.

This rugged phone really looks nice with the ruggedness and the unique design, I hope the gaming performance is also good with the Dimensity chipset.

Hello, if we compare the iPhone 11 camera vs this one, which one takes better photos and videos?
The phone only has 16GB ram not 36GB 20GB is just virtual ram.
Don't blame her, she is a woman and don't know this difference
Just put in a 1tb micro card and go into settings to increase the ram to 36.

you can Expansion to 36gb ( in settings)

No, all rugged phones do not have particularly bright screens. You can see the nits value in the official website details.
