Can't get Bio Advance 5 in 1 shipped to Texas, so I had to settle for 3 in 1. Also they don't carry the orange colored tops for Spectracide Weed Stop for Lawns either only yellow tops. Keep the info coming BYD!
Hey Boss, great video like always. I have a question for you. I have a tree in front of my yard that provides shade but it also eats my bermuda. I have try to get filter light in there but it doesnt work at all. The grass gets about 5-6 hours of sunlight but i guess that is not enough for Bermuda so i was thinking on throwing some Zenith Zoysia down in that spot with filter light and a couple of hours of sunlight. Do you think that is a good idea?
That can work but in the long run 🏃🏽♀️ you’ll still need to get some sunlight. There’s no way to really tell though but to experiment 🧪 🤷🏾♂️

The hard part of Scotts weed and feed is the bag says apply when wet with no rain for 24 hours and 60+ degrees for 3 concecutive days. In MA where I live that means youre probably waiting till mid-may if you go by that. I used it to clear clovers and dandylions. I did one application and a thundershower washed it away so I did a second 2 weeks later. Its showing results. Its more feed than weed. The grass is spreading into the clover area more and the clovers are starting to wither. It didnt do anything for the dandylions though so im using ortho weed b gone for that.
Progress update. It works GREAT. Driving by you see rich thick grass amd wouldnt know half of it was a clover carpet last fall. I have 1 big tip though. Let the grass grow long and cut high. Its a war for light and water betwern the shamrocks ans grass and the longer your grass is the more light and water it uses and starves the shamrocks.
I would much rather use separate weed killer and fertilizer than a "weed and feed". I've had great success with spot spraying weeds with a combo of Spectracide orange cap and Image Kills Nutsedge on my 4000sf Bermuda.
My understanding is that granular weed killer should go down on a wet lawn, but granular fertilizer should go down on a dry lawn. You shouldn't more for a couple of days before or after putting down any weed killer (more leaf area), but you SHOULD mow before putting down fertilizer. And you can't spot treat with a granular product, but you shouldn't stress your lawn by broadcast spreading weed killer over the whole lawn. And any of those Weed&Feed products are way more expensive than a liquid weed killer plus a non-Scotts fertilizer. And, my two biggest issues are crabgrass and Poa, which often aren't treatable with a "Weed&Feed".
In my opinion, if you don't have the time or initiative to put down separate products then you're probably better off hiring a lawn care company. I've never had good luck with using a Weed&Feed and found them to be a wasted effort.
Keep in mind that you don’t want to throw down any weed PREVENT if you plan to do any seeding or over seeding. It’ll keep your seed from germinating. I made this rookie mistake and had to wait a full year before I could seed again.
Will weed and feed have any negative effects if I’ve already thrown down crab grass preemergent and fertilizer? I put I down early April.

I know of no such product, you’ll have to hand remove, soil should’ve been prepped before new sod was installed.
@@BYDonBermudaGrassCentral Thank you, l wasn't sure...we were told by our builder an alternative SoD company had to be used bc TifWay 419 was not available before we closed on our house. Now l find out it's been Discontinued by Super Sod too. If l had the $$$$ I'd rip it all 8k Sq ft and replace with another grass lol
