First, you should learn to speedrun the forest, getting a bag and book in a day and a half. If you've never done pilot quest before, use a turban for easier desert.
The fact that savages don’t attack you every 5 seconds is amazing
Same yesterday I tried 17 times to do just the drag quest and failed every time
