We are a couple who are building our own home from the ground up in the mountains of West Virginia. After living near the city our entire lives we finally decided to sell it all, pack up our 3 kids and live in an RV on our 73 acres while we building our own off-grid house and learning to live a more self-reliant life.
Our house build is documented entirely on our main channel "Wild Wonderful Off-Grid". This channel is dedicated to short vlogs showing our life outside the build.
It pays to have a high voltage qualified electrician doing the installation. The inspector looked like he truly enjoyed seeing a good installation for once. Nice video of the joy of getting your hard work, a pass.

I've been an electrician since 1975. It is very enjoyable work, and I've always enjoyed the challenge of not only doing the work correctly and to the code, but making it look like artwork as well. I think we share that desire. Really neat installation, Josh.

Glad that Josh decided that the lift was necessary. Erin is tough, however. That copper line is tight and heavy. The inspector was very pleased with the professionalism on the electric. Great job! Lookin forward to seeing more progress. Good luck!

The lift was absolutely required and I"m glad Josh made the call. It's not worth taking a chance and trying to power through something that sketchy and have either of you get hurt. You might consider adding a framed cork backed map (with pins) and a visitor autograph book for RUclips viewers and other visitors that come in to track home locations. Planning a side trip to visit on our next trip to DC or Baltimore.

Having worked in telecommunications for decades I am a major stickler for cable dress. Josh your lead dress with the electrical is impeccable. The inspector was duly impressed as he should be You are true and your work is the truth of excellence. Major respect to you. Erin is also pretty good.

Josh you are truly a master electrician you did it with a few problems but you always come up with a solution. Erin is strong but glad that you got a strong arm guy to finish pulling the wires through. Can't wait for the opening day! Have a great and productive week in everything you and Erin do.

Installation of the wires in the panel boxes that look that nice is a pure art form and Josh is the artist. Great job Josh !
Next time you have to slide anything on the floor get an old soft blanket and put a couple layers of the blanket under each foot and push. It should easily slide.

That Electric Inspector has probably never had such an easy inspection and perfect beautiful wiring job in his life lol. He was very impressed I could tell. 25 years ago, I owned a cabin about 5 miles beyond Romney just above the South Branch. There was a small, olden cafe in Romney, either on the same plot or just near your plot. Had great chipped beef gravy on biscuits. Best of luck with your new beautiful cafe!

Hi Josh and Erin, firstly i love your videos each week. I'm from QUEENSLAND Australia. i tip from me it may sound crazy but if you cut the leg of a pair of ladies stockings and put it over the end of multiple cables and tape them on when you pull the cables through to conduit it helps it slide and works very well around bends and joins in pipes as it just bounces over the joins. Also as you pull the rope the stockings get tighter around the cables to add strength for the pull. hope this comes in useful for you its a trick i learned pulling cables on my own
