I'm 8 months pregnant. I just spent the entire night in labor and delivery monitoring my baby due to decreased fetal movement to make sure she's okay. Because I'm her mother and I love her. If anyone ever came up to me and called me a birthing person or my baby isn't a person... I would punch them in the face.

    • @infidelheretic923
      @infidelheretic923 Год назад +25

I agree that there are too few pregnant women identifying as men to really justify a change in language.
But just imagine for a moment that if a few months into your pregnancy they found that the baby was stillborn. And the doctors couldn’t legally remove it because of changes to the law.
You don’t have to imagine this, because it has already happened.
Ultimately, the mother and her doctors are the best judges of whether or not a pregnancy should be carried to term than the government.

Sure but do you support freedom of choice or do you support forced birth? If that's too difficult to understand...
Do you believe you should be punished by law if for any reason your baby is unable to make it to delivery? That's where this shit leads. It's already a law in at least 1 state where if you have a miscarriage it is punishable by law. You support this idea? If you're "pro-life" then you support the arrest and imprisonment of mothers who suffered catastrophic loss during pregnancy. That is no mother. That is a Monster.

I am a 23-year-old pro-life activist who is a member of my university’s pro-life organization. For the past couple of years, I was the ONLY officer who wasn’t a hispanic woman. I have been to several prolife events/rallies and the diversity of the crowd would surely make university DEI officers blush. What’s craziest is that the crowd is overwhelminly FEMALE. I know nothing about my grandmother other than that she thankfully wasn’t like Demi- she understood that she wasn’t ready to be a mother, but that didn’t give her the right to slaughter my father. She gave birth to him and gave him up. Even though it must have been so hard, she did the best thing for him. She doesn’t know it, but she not only gave him life, but she has a legacy of three granddaughters. One day, I pray, great-grandchildren too. A whole legacy traced back to her. Life is sacred. And it spreads like the stars in the sky. Life is our most basic right. We should all fight to defend it. I checked out this song because I heard people talking about it. Honestly thought it wasn’t real at first and I wish I hadn’t heard it at all. It literally made me cry- both out of pure sadness and pure burning hot rage. I am a 27 year old wife and SAHM of 3 small children (5,3,1) and to think about all this anger directed at the unborn in the name of self love is just sickening. Children are so so so innocent and precious- a true blessing. What’s next? Kill toddlers? Kill newborns? I would do anything to protect the life of my child, any child really. Demi’s lack of a conscience and empathy is truly disturbing and I pray she finds some sort of peace in her life. Thanks Brett for speaking the truth and discussing tough subjects with a level head and good heart.

I was once a huge fan of hers and her music and when she first spoke about her mental health it was a role model for me, I was seriously mentally ill myself. But with each documentary, more came through that she was highly manipulative and "ME ME ME" and celebrates victimhood. Well, somehow no wonder, if your therapists are employed by you, how are you going to do DBT properly if your patient fires you if you practice contingency management. lol The last documentary shocked me the most. She seemed almost proud of what happened to her, not that she survived, but in the sense of "look what I've been through (victim points), something like that. And her troubled family was hardly helped by her mentioned. It's all about HER. Also the video DWTD for me was a glorification of her overdose. This is all not a role model for young people and sick people. She is so deeply ill herself and has made it her marketing and wallows in it. This is unhealthy and just sad. I made it out of this with proper therapy and Jordan Peterson I can't give myself Demi Lovato anymore She should be out of the public eye and truly dedicated to her recovery All resources she has to do this.

Most pro choice people still want limits on it. They realize that Circumstances can vary. I know a woman who was pro life until Circumstances changed her mind. She also had her tubes tied at the same time. Life had dealt her some rough curves. One child with mental health issues. A baby that was in hospital more than out. She had just escaped a marriage to a man who had become a drug addict after the marriage. And she found out she was pregnant again.
Abortion to full term is crazy. Any sane person would agree with that.
When I first heard about it I did not think it was real. They tried to justify it by saying it was available in Canada. Not sure how that lie gained traction, but it is not true. I looked up the laws when I first heard about it. Easy enough to do.
Canadian law says until 22 weeks, 6 days. After that, if medically necessary they induce labour and everything is done to save the baby. But each province and territory also have laws which vary from 15 to 18 weeks. None were past 18 weeks. So the real cut of date.
If Canada really did allow abortion to full term you would think our abortion rate would be higher than that in the USA. Instead it is lower.
The biggest issue in Canada are forced abortions by inlaws in certain groups, who have female babies aborted. One of our conservative members has been working hard to make it illegal to know the gender of the baby until after the abortion cut off. Being forced to have an abortion is not free choice. And these abortions make up a large number of our abortions.
And considering that you can now find out you are pregnant before missing a period, the time limit can be shortened as well. The laws were made when you might not be able to confirm pregnancy until almost 3 months.

That is testament enough that we care about preserving the most innocent of human lives, and building up the women who choose to protect their own children’s lives despite the pressures of the medical industry. But I think that women should have the right to make that decision for themselves up until the 2nd trimester without some authority telling them what they must do. If you're going to get an abortion, there's no reason to wait past that point - it's not like you don't know you're pregnant at 15 weeks - and the closer you get to 22/23 weeks, the closer that baby is to being able to survive on his/her own, outside the womb. Past 22/23 weeks, and it's straight-up murder as far as I'm concerned, and it should not be allowed (again unless mother's life is at risk or the baby has severe defects - I think it's horrible torture to a mother to be forced to carry an unviable baby to term)

But also I do think that if you choose to have sex and especially are an adult you should give birth and not abort the baby because you knew what you were doing and if you don’t want the child at least put it up for adoption. be born, why are we forcing this woman to wait until she is "sick enough" to remove a non-viable fetus? Why isn't her doctor allowed to remove
the fetus until the woman is on death's doorstep, thereby endangering her ability to get pregnant again?

First, Heres the law. " A person shall not knowingly preform or attempt to preform an abortion, unless:
1 )the abortion is nessesary to save the life of a pregenent woman in a medical emergency or
2 ) the pregenacy is a result of raepe, sexual assault or incest that has been reported by law enforcement.
Now i think a question that can contend with ur question u have provided here, is if a woman knows that she could be under a life threatning situation, why then allow the pregenacy? Because most women in these situations are told what the future holds for them should they get pregenent under these situations. If theres any underlining health issues, ur doctor will say that u cannot have kids, because certain conditions would possibly kill u, so the question is then why accept a seed into u, without protection or birth control unless its by force? Women have so many forms of birth control at their disposal to minimize this. Hell some women have their uterus removed so that they can never get pregenent.

Contraception isn't 100% effective, and I think it's unfair to say that women who don't wish to be mothers should just 'close their legs'. Private lives/relations aren't anyone else's concern and it comes across like women are just baby incubators with no other value, while men can sleep with whoever, whenever they wish. Why can't women enjoy sexual experiences without the worry of pregnancy? Not every woman who has a lot of sex is 'sleeping around' - plenty are in monogamous relationships but children aren't wanted. Should they just be abstinent?
The song was written in anger, clearly. She's allowed to be angry about it, just as much as pro-lifers are allowed to be angry about abortions in general.
