    What an awesome beautiful landing. I'll be rewatching this one. Never would have thought 20 years ago you could sit in a chair with headphones and watch flight videos. It's alot of fun. Keep up the great work

    It's so enjoyable to be in a plane observing what's out the window. Those are the pleasant types of clouds not the thunderheads. Very nice video!

    Not the smoothest of landings but definitely part of the smoothest of footage!

    Did that touchdown feel as hard as it looked? It appeared as though he didn't flare until a split second before touchdown.
    It amazes me how much IAH has changed since I left Houston in 1998. Each terminal was a simple square with 4 rotundas extending out of each corner. Continental, the dominant airline at IAH, had just expanded Terminal C into a new hub terminal, and the international terminal was also fairly new. Now it looks like United has pretty much redone most of the airport. New runways, new terminals, and even new cargo ramps on the east side of the field.

      It was a pretty firm landing. My camera is really good at stabilizing the image. So, when it bounces around that much, you know it was a rough one. Sounds like we lived in Houston around the same time. I live din Sugar Land from 1990-1996.

    Are your time lapse videos a thing of the past? I miss those videos

    • @sla31

      That's a good question. So, I actually really enjoyed making those, but they were by far my worst performing videos. They would get like 1/3 the views as other content. Last December, I actually left my long time job to run this channel full time, so it became even more important to keep my views steady, as I'm relying on the revenue from this channel to not only pay for everything you see on the channel, but also support me and my family. The Time-Lapse videos just didn't perform well enough to justify using a time slot for them. Anyway, I'm not going to say they're gone forever, but at the moment they're definitely on a hiatus. I don't even have any time-lapses filmed right now. We'll see what happens moving forward, but I'm not ready to say they're gone forever.

    Watching these videos is just making me wanna get on a plane even more. I miss flying. Last time I was on a plane was in 2013 when I went to Ontario to visit family. Although my mother has talked about wanting to take a mother and son trip to Ontario sometime soon so I may be getting on a plane soon to go back to Ontario. Do you ever fly to Canada and if so, where in Canada do you fly? It'd be cool if we we're on the same flight someday and it'd be cool if I saw a flight out of my city or into my city on this channel. Lol. Great video and great job recording all these flights. Your content is awesome.

      Thanks my friend. I appreciate that. I do occasionally fly to Canada. I've been to Vancouver several times, and Montreal once. I haven't been in awhile though. I was flying up there more frequently because I had a family member who lived there. They lived in Vancouver and then Montreal. They have since moved to Singapore for work though. That said, they're planning to move back to Canada when their current contract is up in November. So, theoretically, I'll be back to Canada more often when that happens.

    Great fly! Have you heard gas prices hit record high? AAA reports it hits national average of $4.432.

    • @sla31
      @sla31  2 года назад

      Yes. I put gas in my, pretty economical Subaru yesterday, and it wasn't even empty. Still had over 1/4 tank, and it cost nearly $60...
