His music has accompanied me through many very hard and very brilliant time periods in my life. I assume you mean all of his music, not just the music under his actual name, but if you don't know Jack's Mannequin and Something Corporate, those are his old solo project and band, and they're his very best music, in my opinion. Everything In Transit is his first solo album by Jack's Mannequin and he finished writing it on the day he found out he had leukemia. It's probably my favorite of all his material. The Glass Passenger was the next Jack's Mannequin album that he put out after his battle with leukemia, and it's also really powerful. His music with his actual band (Something Corporate) is all amazing, too, but North is probably my favorite album. I'm sure you already know these albums, but just in case you only knew his recent music under his real name, you REALLY have to get his other music. At least start with Everything In Transit :) I do like his newer stuff, but Something Corporate and Jack's Mannequin is some of the best music I've heard in my life. He's an amazing person.

I have it too. Letters, numbers and some words have colors. Music has colors. Words spell themselves out in my head.
His voice is a sky blue color with a whispy texture. The beginning is different shades of orange and the verses have these jagged line of red along with yellow bursts. The chorus has blue and yellow condensed circles of light on the side with the same red + his voice again moving between them. Also, this song is totally my anthem :)
WHAT?! Your high! His music is nothing short of phenomenal! If you don't get chills when you hear it, there's definitely a problem. In every song you can hear the passion and hard work that he puts into EVERY song he writes. He is great at making you feel that. His passion is what makes him remarkable as an artist. He will always be my favorite, along with Matt Nathanson.

This song helps me to fall asleep. I don't mean that in a bad way, I mean that when I play it it reminds me of all my happy childhood memories and I fall asleep quite happily.
TLDR; wonderful song
This song was orange, purple, and a darker kind of green. When I closed my eyes I saw a medium circle of orange like popping to the first beat. Then the purple was like a line of small dots that played the second beat of the song. And the green was in a bunch of swirly lines that would move throughout the whole picture. When they all played together I felt a sense of joy and I immediately started smiling and laughing! It felt so good!
Lows in the song are dark green, highs are yellow, bubblegum pink, fire engine red and pops of sky blue. His voice however is grey and looks like skinny jeans and brown hipster boots.

I was born with sound-sight synesthesia. I thought people normally saw {time as linear, and sounds as shapes and colors, and numbers, letters, and even specified days of the month ans the months themselves as defined colors} until late middle school.
Hearing a normal song can be like a sober acid trip sometimes...and I am learning to play the piano, violin, and guitar at the age of 24 because of it. It gets so beautiful in my head that I sometimes I get emotional, because I wish people understood the beauty I can see simply from sound frequencies. Coldplay really gets me in particular, and this song.
For my fellow synesthetes out there, our braines were naturally wired to connect separate sensual frequencies without drugs.

In school i'm learning french and ive always had a hard time understanding that mardi is Tuesday. mardi is the same colour as Monday so it makes perfect sense that they would mean the same. but i guess there is no changing the way that different languages say things, so i'll just have to deal with it
m m mine gets worse when my head hurts, actually. Or super tired. It's like the filters that keep it in check are broken and everything makes shapes and colors until I have to sleep it off.
Has anyone else gone to the wilderness politics tour? It's because of that, I am absolutely attached to this song. The parachute has my heart

+Johnnie Bravo I went this past Saturday! During the parachute part Andrew actually came off the stage and walked around the crowd. He came up behind me and pushed through me to kinda sing at me and then went back on stage. So yeah, I'm pretty attached to this song.

This song makes me feel something very strongly, but I don't know what to call it.
This was the first time I heard of Synesthesia. I was listening to this song, hearing the colors, but I had no idea that that was synesthesia. I got a book about it recently that really described it. All of Andrew McMahon's music is the most colorful. Most of the ones I've heard are yellow, pink, blue, and a little bit of green.
I saw him in concert last night with Panic! and Weezer and he did this song and let the people in the lawn seats play with a parachute with him and it and him were both amazing!!!
I saw them a couple weeks ago at Jiffy Lube but they let the people in the pit play with the parachute instead of on the lawn (where I was)

same and when I went home to look him up I found out that he was jack mannequin which I didn't know (I wanted so send "there there Katie" to my cousin Katie who is depressed (she was at the concert with me fangirling over this band))
He is original. Something Corporate, Jack's Mannequin, and as a solo artist, his music is perfect. And it's not for just one type of person I know people that have different musical tastes that all LOVE this. He is a beautiful musician and vocalist.

Two things: 1.) Andrew you have made gold records, one even before this video came out! Both dark blue and cecilia in the satellite have gone gold. 2.) I have sound-taste synesthesia and just wanted to let you know that the taste I had most frequently during the chorus was lemon custard. Very pleasant!

Every time I hear his music I can't believe that every single song is just as amazing as the other. It's VERY difficult to achieve that but Andrew definitely some how does it.

Completely underrated. I've seen Andrew live multiple times. Not only is his music quality consistant to the souds of his albumns, but he is genuine with his performance and is humble in his ability to make millions of ears perk up.

I learned recently what synesthesia entails and that seeing music isn’t totally common, so to find something like this to express myself and relate to it is so pretty!
I absolutely love this man. he is so talented its insane. I've been a huge fan since Something Corporate. I worked at Chili's and they actually play a Jack's Mannequin song on their CD, and every time it would come on I'd freak out lol. Too bad I can't remember what song it is!
Maybe Mix Tape or Resolution? Everything he's ever done under Jack's Mannequin is amazing and worth owning, so just buy all of his music and listen to it until you find the right track :)

I usually haven't been a huge fan of the whole "electro-pop" trend that some of my favorite artists have been moving towards but I really love all of Andrew's new music -especially great to listen to on nice headphones while walking around NYC

Unbelievably Underrated.
I really enjoy this song live, it really brings out everything. even with the parachute. I saw them live when I went to this show to see Bastille and they were really amazing. Andrew came down and he was so close to me I could've touched him, but I didn't
I wish he got a break and got some air play, used to listen to him in soco and jack's . I actually saw the video for this at a tilly's the other day which was pretty surprising but yea... everything big right now has nothing on this. it's a pretty shitty thing but i guess it's how life happens. hopefully he has his day to shine because he definitely deserves it.

I fell in love with Andrew when I first discovered SoCo in 2003. He is by far one of the most underrated musicians in the world. He's incredible. I just rediscovered this song, and it makes you feel so happy.
I've always loved something corporate and jacks mannequin. No surprise that I love his solo music. Makes me feel young

I don't know if I actually have synesthesia, but yeah, I do see colors and shapes in my head when I listen to music. And sadly, the music looks way different in my head too. What do you see? I see weird little dotted rectangles and zigzags. And some other shapes and colors, but I'm not sure how to describe them haha ^^

Question:
So I learned that I have chromesthesia about 2 years ago. One thing I always noticed was when people talk I see colors, but when the person has a high level of emotion, their voice will have some form of strong texture and their color will brighten. Is this common?
What I do understand is that I can see pitch very well in color form, but notes just stay the same color. For example, a piano will always have a navy blue tone to it and a harp will always have white. But a drum will produce multiple colors. Why is that? I never realized that I saw the world different. My colors are not just a cloud form, they travel and produce texture. I can’t imagine a world without being able to see the music.
Everytime I hear this I remember fondly the time I saw him at the pabst in mke and the parachute was in the crowd. An amazing live performance. Hes such an exceptional artist
