Such a tragic day today with Sean passing away suddenly, he was one of our best comedians and made Cats what it is, deeply shocked and still can’t take it in, my condolences to his family and friends, RIP Sean.

3 mile Island Ice Tea didn't get any credit at all!
He was great at stand up and perfect for any comedy panel show. He was just comedy gold. Not many people are on the level of his comedy talent I can think of a hand full of people like jimmy and Russell Howard is getting up there too. But between 8/10 cats and being on QI, he became the man to watch. He is in my ultimate QI guest list that includes David Mitchell and Phil Jupius. I guess I never realized how much his death would effect me as he was just always there with most comedy shows I watch which involve a panel. It looks like I’ll be doing a count down marathon soon.

@@JonasPahlberg A long Island iced tea is a drink with 4-5 different alcohols mixed in. Three Mile Island is a nuclear plant in the USA that almost had a Chernobyl style meltdown accident. So presumably a Three Mile Island Iced Tea would be something like the amazing drink Sean mixed. I'm amazed that they drank it, but knowing me I'd probably try it :)

British comedy is objectively the best in the world
I think it stems from self-deprecating humour, as a Brit I've always said that if you cannot laugh at yourself then you have no right to laugh at anyone else. We often get slated for parodying or even openly mocking Germans, French, Americans, etc but to be fair if you know a little about British comedy you know that what we say or do to others isn't a patch on the cruelty and roasting we give each other :D
If you can't take it, don't give it. When people attack Ricky Gervais in an interview (jestingly) he always says "It's true, it's true, I'm a fat middle-aged arsehole. I know!" :D
Apparently the world is made up of English speaking countries? Besides, I prefer Canadian, New Zealand, Australian, and Irish humor. Let's not forget those Scandinavians too. For non English, I love Russian and German humor because it's sarcastic. Sean Lock is the only English comedian that makes me laugh though.

But, that said, if Friends , Frasier and Seinfeld had been British made shows instead, they would have been respectively crude, geeky rather than erudite, and featuring a surreal comedian who seems like he'd be more comfortable doing stand up.
