Coffmans is a winner today. As usual great compilation. Sorry for the late views, I've been away for 8 days and had shitty wifi. I had to sit on a balcony to get a nice connection and since I was in the resort area it was loud af and didn't hear anything. Good vid 👍 Btw, weather is getting nice and should be taking out my bike this Saturday.
Got a CBR500R and tested 4/5 different exhausts, use the Ixil Hyperlow without the DB-killers, it sounds beautifull, all the others exhausts have simmilar sounds but this one is different and clearly the best
Whats with every bike under 600cc today sounding like a gutless little 125 four stroke? Look up CBR400. They sound like a 600 or more with their standard exhaust! The Ninja 300, R3, CBR00, CBR300, they all sound muffled and little :( Such a shame emissions laws came in and ruined everyones fun.
But they don't sound gutsy. They all sound muted and dull, no matter what you seem to put on them :/ Two guys i know have mid size bikes. One has a standard CBR 400 and the other has an R3 with a full akropovic system. The CBR sounds so much better. It sounds like an 800, where as the R3 still sounds like a lawn vacuum :( It's such a shame cus I really love small/mid range bikes. I doubt I'll ever own anything over 600cc myself. Maybe a VFR800 at a push, but thats another sound completely. The after market cans just don't seem to enhance modern engine sounds that much. The tick over and high revs are the saddest sounds though.
They're all four strokes, but they're completely different engines. Cbr250/400/600/1000RR all have 4-cylinder engines and therefore high revs, where as the single R's have 2-cyl.
try recording the sound when you're 3-5 meters away from the bike... the sound you get from recording directly from the exhaust is useless... and half the sound is scratched out
All this has done is convince me that I'm better off keeping the stock exhaust in place on my 2016 CBR500R. Sure, it sounds like a sewing machine in stock form, but none of these exhaust options sound like anything even remotely close to what I'd call "good." I'd rather not hear the exhaust AT ALL if the only alternative is something that sounds tinny and farty at the same time.
As someone who rode with it stock for a year, then put in an akrapovic (took out baffle), the stock sounds like shit, and upgrading the exhaust is well worth it. The sound in person is much nicer, and the videos cant do it justice. Akrapovic with baffle sounds exactly like stock, so make sure you take the time to take out baffle before assembling it.
lol..he just used my video at 4:10...xDD
Thumb up
:D
Without asking you?
I clicked on your channel to see the original vid, but the first thing I saw was mines death akame ga kill :(
best vid for those needing a comparison of whats out there. great job
Thanks for compiling this video, it's super helpful & saved me a ton of time & money!

+Life On Two Wheels haha awesome, good to have you back! can't wait to see some vids from you.
I like the sc project and the ixil one
Second one looked amazing

ChrisFly' i heard arrow full system and in two minds if i should get a system or slip on.what do u recommend
two brothers always sound good. but I would never put something that ugly on my bike.
for the price and the looks, my fav was coffman
Two Brothers And Yoshimura
The ixil exhaust at :
5:50 was my favourite
plz a video with the CBR650F
next bike i think when i get my A2 license :D
Oh boy
No one likes the Leo Vince at 5:02 ? I think it sounds the best
That's what I have on my bike lmao, it has some nice rumblies
nice video
next VTR1000sp RVT1000 pleaese
+Ono Takuma I'll get to it eventually :P
Yay clipping exhaust sound is so awesome :-/ put a sock over the microphone to help with that
very useful
all nice sound
i don't like the way CBR500 sounds, although i like it a lot. this is why I've decided to get an R6 instead
Stupid comment. Completely incomparable bikes. One is a 471cc commuter and the other is a 600cc supersports lol
I used to have an R6, got a CB500F. Way better bike lol

the emission laws only apply to stock exhausts lol, I personally think these little bikes sound good, it's a different type of sound but it's good
But they don't sound gutsy. They all sound muted and dull, no matter what you seem to put on them :/

Basically, it has nothing to do with displacement, just configuration.
Cause of the little two cylinders they're putting in em. Sound like a choked up Harley. 4 cylinders with 10k+ rpms is too much to ask I guess
hurric pro 2 or ixil hyperflow? cbr 500 r 2016
can you do a vid for the rc 390
JDM world do a CBR250RR vid but the 4 cyl version
Samuel Fitzsimmons the RR is the 4 cyl version. the R is the inline twin
or single. whatever it is
try recording the sound when you're 3-5 meters away from the bike... the sound you get from recording directly from the exhaust is useless... and half the sound is scratched out
2:10 it sounds like fucking aeroplane... dont like it
+Julius Filip sounds good lol
I added a Two Brothers to my CBR500 and when I down shift or slow down I get a lot of backfire noise. How did you get rid of this in your video?
why would you want to get rid of backfire? XD
Kermit Canam baffle?
Kermit Canam backfire is the best noise a bike can make
I agree backfire doesnt suit some applications

darkwriter77 I just bought a 2016 cbr500r and I'm the same. Yea it's quiet but I like the quiet over a fart sound haha

@@richardekins1770 I think I would agree I used to think the exhaust would he pointless but now I'm considering it
Which one would u recommend buying?
Akrapovic or Coffmans if on a budget
If not on a budget what exhaust would you recommend?
Stefan Kinnin
arrow and akrapovic are always a safe bet
The best exhaust ? Made in china
I hear more distortion than anything
all sound the same except coffman which sounds like crap
Sounds like shit next to a 4-cyl or v-twin. Budget engine.
without dbkiller???
Systrix Yes! I think the only one who has a DB-Killer is the Akrapović.
No no no not two brothers get out
Those are all fake akrapovic exhausts!
now this is stupid.
God, these exhausts sound like shit. Like a fart can Civic.
