Nice man Sundown E series very underappreciated sub because it's one if their budget subs. But for other companies it would be their top of the line. I used to run them before I upgraded to the SA Series. They never let me down. E Series ftw
@@SteezyBeats are you on a tight budget? I would recommend a Pioneer GM-D9601. It's CEA rated 1200 watts RMS at 1 ohm. It did really well on the amp dyno. Over 1700 RMS on Dynamic. Which is music. So for about $160 it's a good option. I had one on mine and they just pounded !!! I'm talking windshield flexing and wipers bouncing. It runs very cool, even when used for long periods of time.
So the power acustik amp is the only thing hooked up to the woofer because I actually have the same amp and looking for a good match for it and this seems to be it
Need INFO. Is this sub a SQL sub? Aur does it goes for SPL? I really need a crisp and accurate tonality with loudness. I need a hard punchy sub. Will this sub would suit to my taste? Or does it just go for sound pressure level missing tones Or does it just
You can get a fox acoustic box and 2 sa series would thump in your truck i have the same truck with a fox box 2 sa12's,saz1000d,sax100.4 with focal 6.5's and 0 awg welding wire and my truck be thumping
Man thats disapointing im hoping its all your walmart wires n amp running it cause my kicker comp r's im replacing with 2 of these would make my rear view mirror shake so hard it woule be looking at the floor after a minute
David C. Putt on sundowns website it has the recommended box specs. For ported its 1.75 cubic ft with a port area of 28 sq inches and tuned to 32hz, so the port length is somewhere in between 37 and 38 inches. The 1.75 cubic ft volume doesnt include the port. I also factored in the 0.12 cu ft that the sub displaces so i made the box 1.87 cu ft not including the port
@@kthibs6255 I am NO good at figuring the numbers I am ashamed to say. Now what I can do is put wood together. I have found many different enclosures for the E12.v3. None of them have been the correct cf for the sub. All have been over 2sf. After hearing yours on 650w I am sold on the 1.75sf ported. Thank you very much for taking your time to contact me and give me some help. I am running mine on a Kicker 500w at 2ohm..well 536w according to the meters. My box is too small but it is ported and very loud and it shakes everything in my Explorer. I do not know what it is tuned to and I really just want to unlock the full potential of the sub. I am also going to either get that amp you have, after watching the dyno online, or the Skar that is 750w at 2ohm. I forget the model number. Once again thank you for your time and put a new video up!!! David
yeah it does its rated power. Great amp for the money, havent had an issue and i play it hard everyday. I also got rid of the rockville and got the dual 4 channel that did great on the amp dyno. People can talk trash and buy super expensive amps, ill spend 1/4 the price and sound just as good lol. Just gotta watch the amp dynos

Jon Patterson I picked up a pair of sundown 12s e series for 400 in a ported box is that a good deal or did I get ripped off
@@SteezyBeats They're about 135 each brand new. You may have overpaid a little. But nothing crazy. Not a total ripoff
Jon Patterson oh okay cool lol what amp would you recommend and how much would it be ?

Jon Patterson and that will push both of my subs ?
did you have to break these in for a whole, i have 2 in a box made fore these ported, and they just sound so low off of a 1100 rms alpine 2 ohm

How did you remove the center seat. Thinking about tryin this style setup style.

How did you make that box? I want to make one like that and replace my center console on my 03 ram
how will 2 of these sound in a q power QBOMB12V box. tuned to 40 hz ported with 1.5 cubic feet per sub, plz let me know.
Im sure it will sound good but it wont sound as good as custom building a box to the exact specs of the subs.
I've been running my two E-12 V3s off a MA audio D class mono block at 1 ohm ( 1000.1) and these subs take it and ask for more. BTW i pushing
Yeah saw a guy try to blow one of these, ran a low spl test tone for 5mins straight on 750w
Didnt even blow, took it like a champ
@@blownturbos5148 I was thinking of ordering 2 of them. You can push them with your 2000.1 and your not scared of blowing them or anything?

Are you sure it's not 900rms? Jw because that model at 2ohm says 900rms online. 👍👍 Sounds dope.
Idk if youre lookinh at thr wrong ones or not on sundown audios site cause... No theyre rated at 500 rms
500 watt rms sub... Im gonna put 650 watt rms amp to it. Good thing you got the amp at walmart
Apparently you’ve never heard about Sundown…
I have the same sub. I really need some dimensions please. I have 500w running mine and I believe my box is too small.

Bro that sounds good!!! What a deal! Did the power acoustic make it go harder?
erik moseley yeah i could tell a difference from 500 to 650 watts
Not rated at all at 1ohm...but does its rated power + at 2ohm...watched the dyno tonight.
