Some women don't know how to read the room. Often times they are bringing up things that may throw salt on the wound or that simply won't help the situation. More active listening and less talking to hear themselves talk would help immensely.

A part of why men prefer quiet women is because if she runs her mouth and pisses the wrong person off, she isn't going to step up to fight.
I have seen and experienced loud mouthed women starting arguments, and then when they get upset, they call their brother, boyfriend, or some other man to fight. What if he dies in the process? That's why.
