      Thats because people go to IIT's , NIT's for the EXPOSURE, not for the degree. Tho there are some who cling to it for Placements only, but EXPOSURE is the main thing.

    They choose to show 10 people in the time span of 50 years. These much people can be successful even without IIT tag.
    IIT does gives you exposure but most successful peoples in india are really not from IITs. IIT gives you a headstart but you have to make it up in life on your own no matter what. If you want to make it in life, not being in an IIT doesn't stops you.
    And one more thing most people in this video have international degrees and work experience as well...

    There are so many Indians in US and UK who are very successful and never went to IIT. CEO of Nokia, Microsoft, Mstercard, Pepsi to name a few. IIT is just a name at this point. India’s education system are failing these brilliant graduates.

I used to use these a lot as subconsciously it's felt good knowing that i am procrastinating. And believe me most of the people does the same that's y u see millions of views on motivational videos but only few thousands of views on educational videos. So it's better to do something even if it's college work rather than slacking off.

    I'd rather watch top non IIT ians. This romanticism of IITs have cost so many lives. You can say it's a sour grape but the truth is they are not where they are because of IIT alone, they did a subsequent higher education in the US or other top universities abroad.

    I know these people worked hard, they always did. They made it to the IIT. And went on to be successful BUT
    You don't know at all what toll it takes on the rest of the students who do not choose these mainstream paths especially the Engineering one. They are rarely appreciated. Everyone's just obsessed with IITian's success that the rest of them who couldn't make it so are left hopeless. There's literally no motivation from the media. _Do not be triggered. I am an IITian. My boyfriend is an IITian. I know what I'm talking about._

    Those who are saying most of them are not working in the domain of there engineering degree should understand that When we choose engineering we just don't choose the syllabus of engineering what we choose is the people ,environment and approch of engineering ..... This is the reason why many engineers become successful in whatever field they choose .... We are the winners always ...     Our PM Narendra Modi, never went to IIT and still a diaspora of IITians follow him. College doesn’t make you great. Edison was thrown out of school, yet he invented Bulb. We fail to realise that the real people who make difference in our lives are all non educated, our sweepers, garbage truck drivers, our maids, our cooks, our washerman, our farmers, our school teachers, our grandparents! If having power and money makes you great, I don’t welcome your thoughts. Try to cover the stories of maids and sweepers next time, they are REALLY GREAT!

    Why not make a video of top 10 most successful Engineers in India? Maybe then you can count aluminis of VIT, Manipal, BITS and much more. But you won't. Why? Then how will coaching Mafias create more failures in society than successful IITians. How will you put in mind of students of India that number of students coming from middle class who can't afford good private college after now qualifying for NITS or IITs are good for nothing in society. This happens when a brand tag has more value than what it teaches to student.

    Yes IIT does have a lot of talented people...but if you see closely Most of the IITians got success after getting a degree from US or working in US...sundar Pichai maybe a passout from IIT Kharagpur...but you should not forgot he also do an MBA from Wharton school of business...which is considered to be most prestigious bussiness schools in the world....so yeah..
