Clé de voûte de l'architecture de cette œuvre musicale, la puissance (mais aussi intériorité), la profondeur, l'expression et la présence de sa voix font que cette interprétation est à nulle autre pareille.
N.b : Vivaldi n'est pas l'homme d'un seul concerto (sous-entendu : toujours le même !) comme certains aiment à le répéter à l'envi.
Le meilleur qui puisse être arrivé à ses œuvres est sa redécouverte le siècle passé, le meilleur non pour lui (ce génie a d'autres centres d'intérêt là où il est) mais pour tous les mélomanes actuels et à venir.

Beautiful. Wonderful voice, and interpretation. I live in Australia and was lucky enough to hear Mingardo sing at the Adelaide Festival of Arts....just daysbefore Covid hit Australia.

Senza nulla togliere ai controtenori, la voce oscura del contralto, da espressione alla domanda del testo " cun Dederit" " come darà il sonno eterno" la voce più scura del contralto da profondità a questa eterna domanda dell'uomo. Cum dederit dilectis suis somnum, Ecce haereditas Domini, filii; Merces, fructris ventris. (When He has given sleep to His beloved, Lo, sons are the heritage of the Lord, the reward of the fruit of the womb.)
This "ode of ascents" seems to mention Solomon's dream narrated at 1 King 3:5-14. The verses which Vivaldi selects give the unity of Psalm 127 by transforming the pessimistic tone of life without the Lord into the "hope" prefigured in Solomon's dream.
この詩は「ソロモンの詩」であるから、「神に愛された人」はソロモンと取るのが自然であり、サムエル記下12:24-25や列王記上3:5−14のが背景にあり、神に最も愛された人であるソロモン王が夢の中で、神に祝福されたという伝承に基づくものであろう。
しかし、ヴィヴァルディのこのモテットの冒頭の調べは、悲痛に満ち満ちた嘆きで始まる。それは、子宝に恵まれた家の繁栄というような意味での世俗的な幸福の約束とはとても思われない。
何度も繰り返されるCum dederit dilectis somnum の調べも、伴奏のヴァイオリン合奏も、死によって全てが失われる世界の空虚さを響かせているようだ。
「もし主いまさねば、すべての労苦は虚しい」という通奏低音の只中に登場する「fructus ventris」の言葉は、ニヒリスムの極点からの大いなる転換を表しているかのようだ。それはアヴェ・マリアの「祝福」を先取りしているかのようにも聞こえる。つまり、主の受肉と受難および復活という超自然の出来事をソロモンの夢の中で予言する詩として、歌われているのである。
