First time I ever tried to pray to Aphrodite (being new to Hellenism from Christianity) I felt she asked for rosemary bread. Had no idea rosemary was connected to her. But, I’d love to make her some if that’s what she wants!? How would I offer it!? Burned, buried, shared!?
Place it on an altar! How you dispose of it is up for debate. You could burn it or bury it, whatever feels right. You don’t have to give her the whole loaf. When I offer food to my altars, I like to stand/sit with them and share the food by having a portion for myself to eat/drink after I place some on their Altar. It’s like having a little lunch tea party with them. Whenever it starts to go bad after a few days you can dispose. I personally chuck my disposed offerings out into the backyard. After some consideration, I determined it’s okay to leave it to either be eaten by the stray cats or to be decomposed into the earth. They absorb the energies from the offering, so once it starts to rot it’s served its purpose.
Same! I converted from christian to hellenism and trying to pray to aphrodite for the first time but i cant help but feel embarassed since i never properly prayed before, i usually pray in the bible app

Hi, if it’s alright I want to share how I knew I was going to work with Lady Aphrodite. It was mid-way through grade 9 and I was like, “I want to work with a Greek deity” but I didn’t know who. I laid out a spot in my room for an alter and waited. Trying my tarot cards and things like that to try and guide me into who I should work with and honour. Own day I walked into my room and there was this powerful presence in the room. Right by my window and my bed was this woman. Ethereal and gorgeous. Obviously I couldn’t actually see her physically. But for a split moment I knew she was there and that it was her. The very next day I set out the materials to make her alter. I drew her, I made playlists, paintings and started delving into research about her. I’ve always been very connected to love, and beauty in the sense of fashion and even just natural beauty. And it felt like I found what I was missing. I’ve been told that working with Lady Aphrodite isn’t recommended for people new to deity work but she is who called me. And over the years I’ve gained confidence, established self care routines and tried to devote time to her. I’ve found having baths and taking my time with my makeup makes me feel good and connected
I am only just starting and I have always loved love. Regardless of heartbreak (and its been BAD) I still ADORE love. I'm also a Pisces and have loved all things “sea” for forever. I just started her altar today with some candles, a love plaque, and a heart jar that my boyfriend had filled with “reasons I love you” as an honor to her for granting me such a love.
I like your channel even tho im a old lady i like to learn new stuff from the younger generation yeah i live on a island and my lil granddaughter always gives me sea shells stuff from the ocean so i made both of us a Aphrodite Altar sitting next to my bed with all what my granddaughter likes for it in one of her pink minnie mouse containers, she has mostly mermaids in it fairies, lots jewelry, offerings to her candy hearts etc lots of fun for us

I dont have such a mesmerizing story about why i started to worship her, i just kinda... Did I had been wanting to get into hellenistic polytheism for a long while now, and right now that i had found a girlfriend, i felt like it was the right time to start, and i wanted to thank her for this new love. Now with some research, i notice ive been communicating or at least thinking about her since my childhood, as i used to(and still do) collect seashells by the shore, and "talk" to the ocean, big waves are a yes, small are no's and right now, ive just realized... It was her i imagined was with me, and i hope she was Though i do think i upset her a bit by leaving her candle on as i studied, i dont know if the way i talked to her wasnt the most respectful, but im starting, and im sure she'll understand

Literally found EVERYTHING I needed. Two golden rose candle holders, two white taper candles, a bag of shells, a pink rose heart chalice and a shell offering dish. It was really meant to be 🥰

I was watching this video w headphones on and a part keep repeating over and over again I look at my phone and it going backwards alone it had never done that before I started working w her today and I made her an altera and I took my pendulum and ask if it was her putting the video backwards and she said yes and earlier I asked her for a sign ig this is it
