You need to find the right people. Had 2 Polari take on an Idriss last night. All a bunch of ransoms that didn’t know each other. One was fully crewed, one was half crewed. I was with the fully crewed ship but in a Fury as we didn’t know there’d be a second one there and ours was full.

But seeing it in game, it actually looks quite incredible. You guys did some amazing work. My only real complain (other than the captain's quarter being locked atm) was that the medbay felt like a step down compared to what you find in the Carrack. Very cool trailer btw.
I waited too long for this ship from the first concept and then fell asleep on the first flight, getting on and off the ship is like the President Skroob in Spaceball when he ran saying that the ship was too big he risked finishing the film .But I have to say the design is fantastic, the Hangar area is wonderful
Sweet commercial for a ship that was rushed out the door to meet a deadline set by a bloated marketing team. Easily needed another 3 months for the inside of the ship to be finished.
I played on our Orgs Polaris against Idris as a turret gunner. It is actually pretty close to actual gameplay. You can even actually rearm the Torps manually exactly like in the trailer.
Pretty sure the captain aged because you still haven't finished the $975 ship and he has no captains quarters so he just walks in loops all day. That would give me grey hair
Buying a $975 ship when it'll be free in a few-ish months is insanity. But what's even worse is the people buying the ship are the kind who will solo it and complain that they can't take on an org fleet or it taking too long to manually fill with 1scu boxes.
My friends and I flew the Polaris vs the save Stanton Idris mission….. My eyes are now open as to what fleet battles will be….. what we experienced last night was far more than I ever could have imagined. Can’t wait for all this to become common place in a smooth and efficient experience

One might assume the Polaris would be slightly more intelligent than that, and would have taken out the idris's defenses before firing it's torpedo's.
@@SurrealNirvana with polarises turrets? It can barely take hammerheads shields down.
Lmao.
Captains looking for his quarters
The size 10 torpedoes making through a Idris PDCs is so misleading.
Nah we did it last night. Need to take the PDCs offline first.
@@ruzhyox or misdirect them with fighters/missiles. Its very doable.
@@AlexeiX1rattler spam!
Sounds like a skill issue.
You could fire them Point blank so Idris Pdc didnt have time to shoot it. It still need a lot of Torps tho
The captain aging is definitely a very accurate illustration of when the captain room is open for polaris owner
Ah, just like in the game, the captain does absolutely nothing from their chair. Truly your most realistic commercial yet.
I’m so happy I just went for this ship and didn’t melt through the years. This ship is going to really test cap ships.
Bro has like 30 engineers
Love the opening... they really captured what it was like to go from waiting for the ship to launch and now that its finally flyable we are all old men...
This is soo cool
You find no other game like this
This game isn't like this!
Sea of Thieves
@@QuotidianStupidity Yes it pretty much is. Both the polaris and Idris are in game and with the current event, a polaris can go against the idris and it looks pretty much like this minus engineering and the acting of the characters (which are players)
@@QuotidianStupidity What isn't in the game?
The polaris is in
I've loaded it with an ATLS
I mult-crewed it against the Idris
I've gained some grey hair since I bought it
All that's similar to the game.

SC - hands down, the most beautiful $1bil tech demo ever.
F YEAH! Much love to everyone at CIG as always!
really good work CIG
this thing looks really great
Just so you know, CIG can shut down all Star Citizen servers permanently at any time and it'll almost be as if the game never existed, kind of like what Ubisoft did with The Crew. I don't know why you're patting CIG on the back - online multiplayer-only games can be "disappeared" at any moment in time as their servers can be shut down permanently forever lol
@newhoboken9944 okay so why you think is this now important to tell me now?
I only say that the Polaris is a really good design and I really think it's a great job.
The game and everything else around SC is sometimes really difficult for now I know, but the Polaris is still good in my eyes.
awful lot of people on this ship for a crew of 12 :D
Usually you have several shifts so you are fully manned at all times, even when some people have to sleep. Usually 2-3 shifts, which means 24-36 people :)
@@Maryondoalthough if that was the case the ship would need bunks for 24-36 people. I find it more likely that a running crew is 6 people, who have multiple responsibilities during their shift
@@christ.5323 they would be bunk sharing, as you would in any/most country's navy.
@@argykay Still sucks though.
'Mom, can you buy me the MCRN Donnager?'
'We have the Donnager at home'
The Donnager at home:
Until we get the Javelin, that is definitely the Donnager
940 CIG really? What's the reason for this sudden big rise in price? Inflation?
More features (more turrets and PDCs for example) and the ship got bigger + the usual price increase with a live release
Just wait for the inevitable Idris jump
@@TheInvisibleOneAt the same time, the interior design is worse than Carrack from 2019.
This is normal, you get a discount for buying in concept.
Glad I got mine at 750.
@@victoriacurie7526 in terms of what exactly? It's logical, well structured and very detailed. It's only missing the signs and the captains quarter which is confirmed to come with 4.1.
Danke CIG das ihr uns dieses Spiel ermöglicht 🙏🏻 Wir teilen eure Vision und glauben an euch 🫡🤗
Great depiction of the timeline from Concept to Flyable.
Jokes aside, the Polaris looks amazing!
I had a TON of fun this week using the Polaris in ship to ship combat during the Idris event. Just need to work on framerate and desync and get engineering in. Man its going to be a lot of fun.
Epic trailer! Been enjoying crewing the Polaris with friends for sure!
Oh, my , groot!
This is the best clip you guys ever did.
*Gosebumps 4.0* o7
the amount of crew manning the ship is insane.
I'd imagine a lot of them are NPC crew not PC crew.
I see it as the leaders of sections would be PCs (ie; pilot, chief engineer, medical chief) but the a lot of the crew running around would just be NPCs. -so like only 6-8 actual players.
Now when can we experience the game how this commercial is depicting it.... I don't see NPCs in the roadmap?
Get friends and stop tying to play an MMO alone?
Didnt know i need some additional buddies to control the legs, arms and eyeballs of my warrior in WoW…
@@Koppquetscha its a ship not a person
@@Koppquetscha try doing a raid solo, that's the same deal, if you want to play alone you do quests
Go back to playing Wizards of Wanking. This is a real game.
Lies, you can only fire torps on staggered fire, you cannot shoot two at a time.
Great video otherwise.
just beautiful
The game does not look or play like this. This is false advertising and it is misleading. The games performance is atrocious and these are just assets used in animation instead of the actual game.
Sure, the gameplay is exaggerated, but the game literally does look like that and runs pretty well on my 4090.
It looks exactly like this. Get a better PC
Amazing Comercial! Where is the show they promised for today?
let me guess the captains quarter is still unfinished
AND YOU GUYS RAISED THE PRICE AHAHAHAHA
It's still that way in 4.0, but don't worry, the Carrack has working cargo bay doors
This is why captain walking around instead of drinking whisky alone
I'd still like to see the captain actually having something to do rather than just pointing his finger from his captain's chair - it does not even swivel !!!
the concept was better looking than this.
This is prolly the closest thing to the concept so far in ship design, It just got larger.
Star Wars Imperial Style Sound Alerts? WE need it ingame too!!! DO IT!
where is my captain's quater
thanks for releasing BMM, finally, very excited about it!
THAT was a brilliant cinematic!
Even the torpedoes were able to hit the target
Cant wait to be a Engineer/Medic on of of those! Oh wait.... no one actually wants crew on their ship :(
You need to find the right people. Had 2 Polari take on an Idriss last night. All a bunch of ransoms that didn’t know each other. One was fully crewed, one was half crewed. I was with the fully crewed ship but in a Fury as we didn’t know there’d be a second one there and ours was full.
Go to rp group or larger orgs usually you get a place on those ships
Hope for the social tools announced by cig during citcon or wait for npc’s.
you are always welcome , join MYRMIDONS , we looking for crue for Polaris / Idris etc
McDonalds commercial versus ordering the McDonalds vibes
Nobody makes fake gameplay fantasy footage like you guys, keep it up!
Literally captured in game 😂

At least here seems that the game is working, in live server nothing work, verry bad
Star citizen > feeding my kids
Haha!!!😂😂😂😂
this is proly one of the best adds yall have done chefs kiss
I'm glad I held off from watching any reviews of this ship on youtube to properly tour it myself for the first time. When the concept of this ship was released it honestly looked meh to me, visually. But seeing it in game, it actually looks quite incredible. You guys did some amazing work. My only real complain (other than the captain's quarter being locked atm) was that the medbay felt like a step down compared to what you find in the Carrack.
Very cool trailer btw.
I had an absolute blast crewing a Polaris during phase 3. Way more fun than I imagined.
Easily needed another 3 months for the inside of the ship to be finished.
about time some one set those devs targets
you're an idiot
Love the new ship! I am looking forward to it!
Man they are cookin with these trailers
*Not actual gameplay.
close
I played on our Orgs Polaris against Idris as a turret gunner. It is actually pretty close to actual gameplay. You can even actually rearm the Torps manually exactly like in the trailer.
@@yaeaster3454 You don't have the engineering and medical though and the rest is boring, anticlimatic.
@@RonJeremy514 ok..thx. I thought I had fun. Now I know better.
@@yaeaster3454 I didn't.
Epic ship to say the least.. Picked mine up today... Friendly Polaris incoming!
Just so you know, if CIG permanently shuts down all servers in February (for example), you won't be able to get your money back lol
Pretty sure the captain aged because you still haven't finished the $975 ship and he has no captains quarters so he just walks in loops all day. That would give me grey hair
So odd that room is not finished yet, I wonder if they’ll add features to it first before just releasing it, I don’t get why’d they skip over it
@@unloyal4847 As an owner of the Polaris, I doubt it sadly. Most likely will be something we see after 4.0 if at all. Sorta how CIG works sadly.
A dream comes true. I love the ship. I hope there will be uniforms at some point we can store in the crew hubs and people can use them.
You can make your own uniforms by buying bulk gear and put it in the crew storage lockers? 🤷🏻♂️
CIG spared no expenses and brought real elephants into their sound studio to record those background music horns.
yep you were young when they announced it and now you are old finally getting to sit in it. @ 1:39
When I pledged for SC, my son was a toddler. Maybe he will play it before he gets his own kids.
That Polaris must have a tier 5 power plant. My power plant must have come from the bargain bin at Dumper's Depot.
I love this video, I need the Polaris in my life. Also… NPC crew please
