That design is just so smart! Tallinn is from the future :) Plus the mix of architecture styles - an eyecandy :)

One of the newest updated streets in the residential area of Kalamaja, was opened this fall 2023. Nice combination of bike path together with vehicular one-way road and wide sidewalks on both sides. This architecture of the road completely changed the street, where the dominance of pedestrians over cars is obvious. Residents of the area enjoy safe walks, children play peacefully around and ride bicycles. Cyclists relax and enjoy the street, as there is no much car traffic. I like this street vibe.

Wow - this looks so much better than it did when I visited a couple of years ago! What a difference it has made. I hope the city does this in other areas too!

I sure hope so too! Currently this street is very unique. But the cycling infrastructure has improved quite noticeably in the last couple of years here, and the new city government pledged to do even more, so I'm optimistic.

I don't know if salt is used in Tallinn in general, I thought it's only grit on the sidewalks. But they definitely plowed here.
