Great review Gavin, Worked for Vickers for 30 years they used to drive tanks along Scotswood Road in the 70s played havoc with trying to get finish on your lathe as whole place would shake, Glad they didn't build those.

This is fantastic Gav! I built an Amusing Hobby Ho-Ri and it was so amazing and the tracks were great! I've been eyeing a Tortoise lately (along the same lines as the Badger). I am so excited to see you build this one up. Take care marra. Been a bit out of pocket a bit so apologies for not commenting.

That looks like a great kit, Gav - and what a monster! Fine feller, that Greg Reilly! Good looking plastic and instructions, and snap together tracks! 😍😍 I've not tried an Amusing Hobby kit, but I could be tempted by a Conqueror. Looking forward to seeing this one. 😁
I reckon "Tank Destroyer" is more about intended use than turret. The Achilles and Hellcat were turreted, for instance. It seems to vary between countries too, so more grey than black or white, I think. 🤔 Have a great weekend, marra. Cheers! 👍

They look really impressive kits Andrew and i think they have made two or three conqueror variants too . You know i never thought about the m10 or hellcat that's my theory out the window . Regards Gav.

Haha - too funny Marra. True. Very Few can complete with Shawn on the stash front 😂 oh, I did Stay that long marra. The S tank is a tank - it was developed to replace the centurions and along the S tank in the procurement where the A and T tank (M60 patton (Amerikanska/ American and the Leopard (Tyskland / German). Hence S is for the Swedish Alternative. Officially Strv 103 (3rd tank with over 10cm cannon). It was designed to counterattack enemy footholds and bridgeheads as a infantry support -.very much like the stug Iii for ex - also, No turret and No tank destroyer. Dont know if the definition with No turret holds up marra 😂🧐
Cool kit - looking forward to it 👍🏻
    Regards Fredrik

Conqueror had what became known as a hunter-killer system wherein the TC could locate a target and slew the gun to it then hand it to the gunner and then the TC can seek other targets while the gunner engages the first and so on.
This Badger is very tempting Gavin, how long did yours take to arrive and where did you get it from?

@@gavinbooth I was with 2 Div in the 70's. As far as I can recollect, any nickname on a chieftan was using the prefix or call sign 1st letter (A for Alan, B for betty etc). I stand to be corrected, but as this will be a 'what if', it really does not matter. I was with 4th Tanks in Berlin for a short while ( I was attached to REMEworkshops), but they did not carry the digital camo. Of course this may have changed in the 80's regards JC.
