First off, that was very nice of Bret to donate their request to someone else. Not many people would do that so that was a nice act of kindness by them. Second off, this is off of Comatose Deluxe Edition (guitarist Ben Kasica & drummer Lori Peters) and the final non-acoustic track on it, and while not the best song ever it's still one of my all time favorite songs, both by Skillet and in general, as it has a solid groove and feel. I personally feel it's worth at least a 7 instead of a 6 but that's just me. As for not hearing Jen remember she didn't join until Awake/Comatose Comes Alive, so any female vocals you hear on albums and EPs before them would be by Korey.

That was really nice of that guy to donate his request like that. This song is great, but it's not one of my absolute favorites.

First off I would like to say thank you Bret I hope I spelled your name right if I didn't I apologize but now on to the song live free or let me die I knew the song wasn't going to get an eighth or a nine which is perfectly fine I thought 7 or 6 range which I was right about the song is very simple but it's also very heavy which is what I enjoy about it a simple yet heavy song now onto the no jen vocals comment that David made the reason why there are no vocals by your girl was because she wasn't in the band at this point neither was Seth the band lineup for this album was a cello player, violin player, Korey, John, lori peters on drums and Ben kasic I think I spelled his last name right on guitar Lori and ben both helped jen and Seth out as they were coming in to the band and they were on their way out for context Lori left because she just wanted to do other things and Ben I think he wanted to move on and start his own band I think but I'm not for sure about that jen joined in late 2008 and i forget when seth joined while comatose came out in 2005 so you're still out of 3-year Gap before jen came in and another 2 years before seth because came in because ben left in 2010 also fun fact John and korey take their kids on tour with them so thank you again

Fun Fact: This was the last song Skillet recorded with former drummer Lori Peters, before Jen Ledger became their drummer.

Almost has a Breaking Benjamin feel to it. Definitely can hear a transition to more of their modern sound.

Ok, now i did listen to this one, so this a second listen, but I didn't comment. You like the change ups, half-time feel, triples, subdivisions etc. I do like how you give decent to good scores, for songs that you may not really like, or will ever listen to again. But break it down, and give it a review based on the music itself. Many of their older songs, I actually haven't listened to, or perhaps listened only once or twice and then never again. I don't remember this song personally myself. And any song without Jen, is always low on my scale 😂
