44 yrs old never been on a bike, been watching your videos for a month or so now and after watching this I’ve decided to book my cbt. Going to see who’s near me tonight and call tomorrow. Thanks for inspiring me / give me the kick I need to get it done # UPDATE CBT booked for next month # thanks for all the nice messages
Good luck! I did mine a few weeks ago and it's one of the best decisions I've ever made. Only riding an automatic scooter as of now and hoping to get on a geared bike soon 😁
This is the most in-depth and easiest to understand tutorial I've seen on RUclips and I've watched loads! Seriously... loads. Thank you for your great content!
Only took my CBT in January and watched quite a few of your videos beforehand. Excellent, clear info. Now just building my confidence and time on the bike before MOD1&2 which I hope to take in October. (I’ve already passed my theory) A few weeks ago we had very strong winds which terrified me and I cut my ride short, today it’s been very windy but it didn’t bother me, I just hate the skinny tyres on the Honda CB125F 😂. (I’m a 50 year old female so any ladies reading….do it!)
Started riding in November last year after watching your ‘how to ride videos’. In the month before my CBT I couldn’t stop watching them and they were so useful. Whenever I watch one of your videos now and hear your intro music I get the same feeling and slight flashback feeling to that time. Great memory. I’ve now done my CBT and six months later completed my DAS. Thank you Spicy.
I wish i'd found your channel a year ago before I did my first attempt at the CBT. A number of things went wrong then, all on my end of things. I was too nervous, didnt understand the clutch, didnt grasp what my instructor was saying and, more importantly, was to nervous to ask for it to be explained. I came off the bike after releasing the clutch too early. Had a slide across the gravel, a smack to my head. It was a shock and absolutely shattered my confidence. I'm only just working up the courage to try again this year after trying to improve my balance on a pushbike. But I so badly want to ride my CG125. I want that freedom. So I'm going to try again. As many times as it takes.
Started following you June 2018, binged watched load of videos before that time, and watched pretty much every video up until summer 2023. There was 2 channels that got me into riding, and taught me the basics of riding before rocking up to my cbt, mainly you for teaching and another channel of a guy with a gsxr, which I said back in June 2018, I want to be on that bike. I had subbed on patreon for around a year, maybe more before falling out of love with motovlogs, then riding in general. From having very little to zero bike knownledge in 2018, I did my cbt July 2019, and was on a Gsxr 750 by May 2020. Your videos are definitely helpful, and explained so simplistically, I felt so confident when I turned up for my cbt, with an idea how to use a clutch.
@ellusdee ofcourse not your videos helped me learn alot. Honestly I don't want to complain negatively about everything because I didn't pass so il just say the instructor didn't really give any direction at all. I think I must have just of picked an instructor who's teaching style isn't rite for me. Il keep watching your videos & il try again with another company.
Very informative and helpful video. Sounds so complicated but it did when I first started learning to drive. Will be looking at the rest of your videos. Great work!
its been 16years since ive been on a bike.... ive just renewed my licence and hoping to give it ago soon... i remember all that time ago i was watching you on your SINNIS APACHE :D
This was helpful, i just did my CBT yesterday and everyone told me i'd be fine as I mountain bike but my brain has been conditioned to using my left hand as a break in mtb and my feet in a car. I was great with the road ride because i'm an advanced car driver so felt super comfortable with the road, but jesus i didn't expecting changing gears and throttle control to be as challenging as it was. I managed but need to practice. I'm going to get a 125 to practice for a while before doing any tests and getting a bigger bike. The instructors were great but i don't think explained about the slow release of the clutch on every gear, i was just doing it on first and wacking it out on the others. And sometimes forgetting to even have the clutch in (why would i need my left break pulled in my mtb head said)
I have a few videos on slow control for mod 1. Here is one ruclips.net/video/xiwbYRsz7q4/видео.htmlsi=pLAg5oz-JECJiQ5i if you want to know the layout of the test you can search that online if you Google mod 1 test layout.
suddenly getting flash backs to 5 years ago before I had ever touched a bike and was binging your new riders playlist, now look at what you've done to me a 22y/o 1000cc riding hooligan, and you're responsible. ♥
Great video I have been riding a 150 cc motorcycle for about 6 months but I didn't get any proper training as i live in india. I learn most things from watching videos like these. Thanks for making them. I have a few questions. 1) is it better to rev match or to slowly release the clutch when down shifting ? 2) does rev matching work in low speed or rpm ? 3)when performing a rev matching how fast should i release the clutch, should i release the clutch slowly and how much throttle/blip should i give for each rev match? 4)and i also have confusion regarding how many gears should i downshift when i have to perform a quick overtake ?
I past my CBT on a 50cc ped bought a geared bike and did an hour taster session but wasn’t safe enough to ride it home so getting it delivered what should be my next step?
my problem isn't upshifting it's down shifting for me nd the breaking I'm used to riding automatic so getting used to using clutch nd break is confusing

I finally got my CBT done last sunday, only took me like 8 years from wanting it, to getting it, but hey better late than never right? Learnt two things, 1, I loathe 125s, uncomfortable, twitchy, never buying one. and 2. How to ride a motorcycle. Now to save to get my Mod 1 n 2 done, now I have a time limit, i can't just passively save up anymore
I have ridden a few Hondas, my other half rides one, they have all had the horn on the left. I have never seen a motorcycle with it on the right. I have also reviewed the hornet and that year has the horn of the left. What year Hornet did you have?
@@spicy110I'm pretty sure the honda vision I did my CBT on had the horn on the right. But either way it was above the indicators switch in terms of height. My lexmoto urban has the horn below the indicator
@@curtisss As I said to Stewart I have never heard of or have seen a motorcycle with the horn on the right. There has been the standard layout of all motorcycles for a long time. If you can say what bike it was it is easy to check but I would put money on it not being on the right as that is where the starter button is.
@@spicy110 thanks mate. I've got someone looking into it. I'm just concentrating on recovering. I've had the surgery now I've got 6 weeks in a wheelchair to endure.

Corners! When to downshift? How to determine proper speed? Should I use clutch through the turn? How much? If I have to break in a turn, what's best?
Thanks for the video going to book my cbt soon I've not been on a bike on a few years as i ended up getting my car. Really really nervous but excited
