I can't believe Vinny was successfully japed into believing that a guy who's literally all about driving spikes into things is weak to a guy who's basically a balloon
One Piece taught me that Pointy Guy > Rubber Guy > Electric Guy
Also looking at their names I can only surmise the order doesn't matter until after you beat at least one of them. From there it seems obvious. Clearly stab man beats balloon man. Balloon man grounds Zappy guy. Zappy guy should then be used against....icy dude. I think this because ice is water and water conducts electricity, more than any other person there anyways. Ice obviously beats fire, and fire must set of bombs early because explosives tend to work that way when they overheat. Blasting apart bricks is a no brainer. And by process of elimination acid is beaten by bricks, makes sense because acid doesn't do much to stone. Ask anyone who dug for gold. They soak rocks with gold in them for a LONG time before it dissolves and this is some of the most potent acid out there. Which leaves pointy guy to be melted by acid.
This is my theory. I'll have to wait for someone to beat the game and make a guide to confirm it though.
The actual order is Blast > Block > Acid > Impact > Bounce > Fuse > Tundra > Torch > Blast
Look at that. Almost got it...Or did I get it? Either way I would have had a far easier time then Vinny here but at least he has fun with it. I saw one LP just dumping on the game for being too hard without weaknesses and "forcing" the player to play the demo level first.

vinny has to hear megaman's voice in powered up then and if it clicks or not.
Puchu Knight I know it's a different universe, but Megaman Legends had the voice I always sort of imagined Rock having. Kind of in the 11-12 yo sounding range. 8 is way to high pitched (ie. he sounds like a little girl), but 11 is too deep for how young he looks as a character.
Or you can just use the japanese voices, which are perfect enough.

Oh, we can absolutely talk about it. I kept thinking to myself that I'd bring it up at some point but always forgot. I see Meme Machinist has some interesting ideas to start us off...
You never know when a craving for a turkey leg might hit you. Truly, Dr. Light is a genius ahead of his time.
I like to think that it serves as a decoy to confuse Dr. Wily in case he breaks into Dr. Light's lab.
Dr. Wily: "Now let's see what the secret to Mega....w-what the hell?! Is that a turkey leg?"

Dr. Wily: "Dammit! I know this turkey leg HAS to be connected to the security system SOME HOW!! I've tried everything I can think of: the defrost setting, adjusting the clock. I even tried the damn POPCORN BUTTON!!"

Given their voices in this game, it's more likely they're designed to resemble young adults than anything, kinda like XJ9.
Well maybe the Dr.light in Mega Man 8 wasn't aloud around playgrounds after they discover he turned the babies he kidnap in to robots. Also Mega Man 8 was a game I watched my cousin play countless weekends and was never able to beat due to his Playstation not able to save due to something wrong with his memory card slots and his parents would kick us off to play Tetris Plus after many hours of progress to nothing hoping that the memory card did save

TheLonelyGoomba it's designed pretty well but checkpoints are badly placed
My issue are the enemies. Those ones which jump out of pits are kinda cheap feeling and seem more trial and error than reacting quickly. They're the only cheap enemies in the game. Also, I'm not sure the reasoning, but sometimes those hands don't shoot you the correct angle. Sometimes you'll go right up, or too low and straight into a pit. It seems random.

Enemies that jump out of pits are fine, I just hate that you kinda just have to go with wherever the balloons bounce you. Losing control is NEVER fun

Even though Capcom is notorious for their DLC charging at least this game is fairly priced, even N. Sane Trilogy wasn’t full priced.
Well they made like no money off puting the games on the Wii u so yeah they're just gonna sweep the Wii U under the rug and forget it happened just like everyone else as far as I and a lot of other people this is the first time these games have been released.

The music is alright but doesn't do anything to standout or be memorable. I can't remember a single theme from the game and that sucks.
I love this soundtrack
It's not terrible, but the original MegaMan soundtracks were very power metal based. The first stage of Wiley's Castle in MegaMan 2 it is definitely not.
It's reeeeally bland. I can't hum one track. It doesn't interfere in the game buut it lacks any personality.

I would have preferred if the double gear system was Dr. Light's and some sort of AI system to match the story of the Battle Network games(Where Light made an AI system and Wily made robots - in that universe the university went with Light's research)

Mega Man's voice actor sounds like he is acting in a play. It just sounds off to me.
Considering Vinny pre-ordered the game he REALLY ought to change the music to the instrumental versions.
I 100% have no idea why Vine's acting like the voice acting in this game is actually poor at all. Sometimes it just feels like he just wants things to be bad enough to laugh at, like with X4 or 8.

Yeah I feel the voice acting is really good and adds character to the well, characters. Especially the robot masters. It's much much better than Mega Man 8's voice acting by a longggg shot.

I think ur overexaggerting how he feels about it. He even said he liked how Wily sounded and that the delivery was pretty good. Just because he didnt love it doesnt meant he thought it was poor.

I'm glad Mega Man is mega back. Shame they couldn't get the Captain N version for this one, but there's always a little shit in the meat.
The art style is probably the best part about this from what I've seen. Still haven't nailed voices and I'm not sure you ever can with this series and it's story.
Ladder climb looks janky. Which sucks because I love how seamless it is (Shovel Knight even copies it down perfectly)
That said, if ladders are my only immediate complaint you know the games at least decent

I really don’t know what made him think balloons would be good with spikes or electricity would be good against acid.
To be fair, Megaman boss weaknesses haven't always been straightforward but it seems like this game is trying to be more logical with their bosses.

Funny, I thought I loved this game. Me being critical does not equal me hating the game. It's not perfect IMO, but it's a game I'm extremely happy with.
i wonder if he'll ever consciously do the "Final Shot" using power gear? Took me a little while to figure it out ( i beat the game on Super Hero )
( to clarify there's a 2nd charge level when using MBuster and power gear
You have to spend the whole Gear gauge charging and don't get hit or the charge resets )

I prefer the Ruby-Spears canon where young Dr. Light was Luigi and young Dr. Wily was Nicolas Cage.
Right away, I'm not a fan of the use of 3D models instead of sprites. I'm not really sure why, but models in 2D platforming games just come across as very cheap. 2D animation can have so much more style to it.
