It'll takes some time for all of us to understand what Ramm was talking about. My suggestion, if you are really interested in going down the Rammellzee rabbit whole is to check out his work, other interviews he's done, etc. I'm not gonna try and act like I understood most of what Ramm talked about, but he was passionate about his art and he was a very interesting person with interesting perspectives, and he was a good friend.
He was one of the first to bring together the art-forms of “graffiti”, breaking, and rapping. He was an eccentric well-rounded artist across many disciplines who never got the credit he deserved, yet always had a belief system that some people still subscribe to, to this day. Unfortunately some of those people have serious mental illnesses & give the beliefs a bad name, but at its core it is really damn interesting, and it goes reeeealllll deep. TL;DR he’s a pioneer deserving of a place in every history book
He’s the one who paved the way For Jean Michel Basquiat !!!!! He’s the next big thing in the Pop art world , his painting and sculptures are already been displayed in some famous modern art museums,
Alright so I'm quite confident in my English skills. But I'm not a native speaker. I've lived in Germany all my life and have trouble getting the slang. I do understand most slang nowadays but this went a little over my head. Can someone explain the 40s reference? I know what a 40oz is but he surely isn't talking about drinking beer. And the sentence right after that. I felt just like Rokafella.
She misheard “Indo-Germanic” as “indo-dramatic”, so he said he’s slurring it because he drinks 40s. After that he was pointing out how a lot of slang origins is in “slurring words”
@@MIREMADASSADI So is this slang used whenever somebody is not gettin' it ? meaning when you're misunderstood ? that's a pretty dope slang like you know i drink 40's

5: the weapons, knives and rubber bands are a reference to zip guns ie home made guns popular in the 70s which he claims to make
6: costumes in a museum talking about a move away from the punk style hip hop of the early 80s and also talking about the hip hop revolution becoming mainstream
7: pray in spray and the monks always knew about it: there’s power in words just like the monks of the medieval era spent years copying old texts and style-izing or making art of the text it’s one of Rammellzee main tenants bend language and make it art to make a weapon out of it.... graffiti ( which he would probably not like the use of the term) has power because it can get a message to certain groups but not be understood at all by others

I drink 40's, get the slang.
What's not to understand?
The fact that he admitted he was drunk & slurred “Germanic” (so she heard it as “dramatic”) is an admission of what’s “not to understand”
@@kevindube7096 he might be a lil tipsy and slurring his words but everything he said made perfect sense
Don't get Rammellzee started on the meaning of letters, & language etc!

Wow thanks for that!
Rammellzee is sicker than your average.
everybody was rockin
I can't be the only one sitting here wondering what the fuck this guy is talking about
It'll takes some time for all of us to understand what Ramm was talking about.
This dude was way out there. He used words that didnt fit and words tgat didn't exist
wow what a pioneer! way higher level than her. she didnt even know what he was talking about.

He's so faded.

🤢🤮🙄
Can somebody explain 2 me who he is?
funDzAmEntal the gothic futurist. The ikonoklast samurai
He’s the next big thing in the Pop art world , his painting and sculptures are already been displayed in some famous modern art museums,
4:00 she mispronounced his name, he’s like..I’m out
ORIGINAL MASKED EMCEE
I am out
Alright so I'm quite confident in my English skills.
Ramm was talking about 40oz beer when said, he drinks 40s.
She misheard “Indo-Germanic” as “indo-dramatic”, so he said he’s slurring it because he drinks 40s. After that he was pointing out how a lot of slang origins is in “slurring words”
@@kevindube7096 man that makes so much sense 🤦🏻♂️. So simple. When he said "get the slang", that confused me. Thought there was more to it. Thanks.
@@MIREMADASSADI So is this slang used whenever somebody is not gettin' it ? meaning when you're misunderstood ? that's a pretty dope slang like you know i drink 40's
@@kevindube7096 i have watched this interview a lot of times but i never figured it out thank you kevin
I bet she needed a drink after that interview :)
"im slurring it just like every tree that did it," so he is talking about language trees right? there is slurs and more coloqial digressions from every base language tree right ppl? am i right? if im wrong help me on this...i see nothing in the comments about this except the baseline dynamics between these too ppl
