@@co2addicted788 Thanks it was a huge effort. Also I love the desert strike, Jungle strike, urban strike games. Maybe one day. EA are not the easiest to get on board I'm afraid.
I don't have an Evercade And had no idea there was an Ollie was an Oliver Twins collection it,, I also love the dizzy games And just looking at some of these other wonderful collections that you just don't get on the consoles I'm seriously tempted to buy one now
The fun part for me is discovering good games you'd never heard of and playing brand new retro games you'd otherwise miss. Oliver Twins is a legacy cart. It's no longer made but with a little hunt you should be able to still find a copy.
Solaris is certainly one of my favorites, AMAZING graphics, simple gameplay, and a TON of depth for a 2600 game! Also Weaponlord is a REALLY crummy fighter...Rad Gravity has some pretty nice graphics for a NES title.
@@CrazyBurger No, I liked the amiga double dragon back in the day but I had never played the NES versions until getting the collection. I think much comes down to not having much nostalgia for the NES, beyond Castlevania, Mario and Contra. Sort of like how some people might struggle with the C64 collection where as I really like it.
First of all. Thanks for putting the time into doing this vid! 👍. Wanted to see you do a BEST games on the Evercade for a while. Hope it helps BLAZE in choosing games going forward?! 🤔. I’ve always thought that there was only ONE true standout game on any given collection. Not only one that was simply the BEST. But one which you WANTED to play, or spent MOST of your time playing! Sometimes I feel that we are only paying for that game, or for some obscured nostalgia of forgotten “Filler games!” 😂. Now we are seeing LESS games on carts these days. I think the quality of them HAS to be HIGHER! Either that, or start on the SINGLE or DUEL carts more! I think your mostly correct on those choices you chosen here. Not that it will happen. But maybe they could do a “Best of” Compilation of ALL these games on one collection?! 🤔. Great Vid! 😊👍
Cheers Gaz.. thats actually an interesting thought. A best of collection. Might be too soon. Not sure how that would work license wise with multiple games from different companies. It would probably have to be all from the same.. like a best of Piko Collection.
@@CrazyBurger Yeah I was thinking the same. But because they already have them now on the Evercade. The issues may be easier to sort out with all parties involved. If we are talking only about ONE game from each. Everyone benefits?! That cart could be marked up higher perhaps, and they could do a collection like this ONLY once in a while. With BLAZE’S status growing and improving. This kind of thing might become a “No-Brainer”. I think it could work?! It certainly would be VERY popular I think?! More “Money for old rope!”. So to speak! 🤔
Thanks mate.. yes it was a fair amount of effort. I dont do things by half.. which can be time consuming.. but I enjoy making them. Top 3.. mmm I think it's a very tough call now.. honestly it changes from time to time. Alwa certainly up there.. along with Tanglewood.. Romeo and Julicat..
Completely agree with you re the Atari arcade collection. Most of the games are unplayable. I wonder whether that makes them cheaper to license, as most other companies would realise it is a stupid idea. I thought that was by far the worst cart. Perhaps Blaze should consider bringing out a paddle and joystick. I find it hard to play games with a joypad when I remember playing them with a joystick back in the day.
Wow, this is quite a video and really well done. We having some differing game preferences but that's what's great about Evercade. No matter who you are they offer both familiar and completely new. Speaking of new, I never got into any of the micro computers back in the day and you seem like you were a fan but you also seem a bit lukewarm on the C64 and Amiga collections. Do you think the C64 mini and A500 mini offer better experiences with the included games and controllers? I've also heard people say you should really play those style of games with the appropriate joystick or mouse but I've also heard the C64 joystick isn't so great (and similar issues with the included A500 gamepad) so I'm curious if you have any experience with it and if you think those devices offer a significant advantage over playing with the gamepad included with the VS. Thank you in advance and I look forward to more Evercade videos.
Thanks! So the issue with the C64 carts is that the games are not quite the best selections that the c64 had back in the day. There are a couple of good ones like Lee and Impossible Mission but the rest are very below average. Most actually play fine on the dpad. The C64 mini selection of games were not the best but it did include Creatures and Speedball 2 plus you could add your own games. So was certainly better value. But you can't play this handheld! Lol.. So the upcoming Amiga cart is definitely an improvement. The Alien Breed games are fun. Though some of these games might be easier to play with a joystick. The A500 mini was excellent plus you can also add you own games. The supplied A500 mini controller isn't the best. Some games definitely need a joystick...the c64 mini did come with a joystick.. but its absolutely awful. Lol you can't win.
@@CrazyBurger yeah I was afraid of that. I watch A500 mini reviews and people want a joystick but watch C64 mini reviews and a lot of people hate that same joystick. That's really too bad but thank you again for sharing your thoughts.
Excellent video but you didn't even mention Wardner! Blasphemy! 😂 On a serious note though that game is fantastic. I used to play that a lot in the Arcades. Demons World is great though. When I eventually get an Evercade VS and EXP I'll definitely just pick up the cartridges that I want as some just aren't worth it for me.
Thank you! It certainly took me a while to compile. With all the new folks on board with Evercade, thought it would be helpful to create a highlights video so to speak.
@@CrazyBurger I got the white exp and the VS only last week, they are still sealed as I collect as many games as I can first. Can't wait to get started on opening all the stuff. I've been wondering about the everSD card and if I should get one, I seen your video and I'm now 50/50 on buying one. What do you recommend?
@@ph111hud0 ah the EverSd.. I was tempted at one point.. and I know quite a few have got one. But for me you'd be better and easier picking up another device where you can add your own roms. Blaze will keep blocking this with future firmware updates, so you might find it won't actually work if you get it.
@@CrazyBurger excellent advice, thank you very much, I will stick with other devices for my enjoyment and just use the correct cartridges for the evercade. Nice 1
So there are a handful classed as "Legacy" carts by Blaze which means they are no longer manufactured due to license ending. Though you may well still find these in stores. The stores can sell them if they still have stock. But when they are gone.. thats it. No more.
Not choosing Ronius Tale as the best game on mega cat 2 was the biggest oversight in your youtube career 😂😂 Luckily you reedemed yourself by picking Alwa over Cathedral 😉
Food Fight is my favourite game on Atari 50 too.
Choosing Squash made me smile! We play that so much. Love the losing player animation!
Lol I know it's so over dramatic but pretty funny. That used to be me losing at any game lol
I'd absolutely love the EA strike series desert strike etc or an ea collection!😊. Absolutely brilliant video buddy thoroughly enjoyed.😊

I’m going to get one I think it’s cheap enough to take a risk on.
I wish sega would get involved though. Just imagine all of those incredible sega games
This was quite a useful video, as I just recently bought an Evercade for the Duke Nukem collection.
This video has convinced me to get the Evercade VS first and then the Evercade Exp
Same. I've been on the fence for a while as I use Emulation. I'm a Collector at heart though and it's a great way to support stuff like this.

I'm also not fussed about the Technos collection(s).

Hey Burger, maybe you should do a Part 2 at the end of the year? Just suggesting it.
