Disturbing fun fact: the guillotine (thing to chop peoples head off back in early days) was made as a hopefully more quicker and humaine death as opposed to the gallows (the place where people were hung to die) im sure you can see why they eventually did replace the gallows for the guillotine as sometimes it would take a LONG time for people to die and it was very painful hanging for an extended time (obviously) and bileve it or not people who use to watch the public hangings that sometimes happened back then would argue that its taking too long they had other stuff to do lol
