I finished this one a few days ago and I actually like it a little better than the Galaxy Marble run but it's a little finicky. Seems to always needs a little twisting and tweaking here and there but overall a great puzzle.
In my opinion, the model turned out to be difficult in terms of performance; something often goes wrong. On the contrary, I liked Galaxy more, perhaps because it has some kind of idea
This is my next build, I just finished the Galaxy Marble run and it was really fun to build and even more fun to watch.
I finished the puzzle. Whatever I do, I can't seem for the ball to stay in the pocket until it reaches the highest point. Any suggestions!
I watched video and it looks like there are very small "nubs" on the three parts that make up the scoop shape that hold the ball until gravity takes over at the top and lets the ball roll out onto the track. I don't have my kit, it's on its way but one thing about these motion machine models, be very careful breaking out certain parts, small pieces of the parts can remain in the sheet or can be sanded off accidently and on every one of my models, critical functioning of the model seems to rely on maintaining the exact shape of parts responsible for the mechanical function are critical. These are very precision engineered designs that rely on wood to maintain the tolerances for some parts during operation. The Safe model and the Galaxy Marble are good examples of this. Sometimes Wood Trick provides extra or spare parts. It this kit has those pieces, see if you can rebuild that part of the model. I've also used small dabs of epoxy putty that can be filed to the perfect shape that fixes problems like these. If you watch the part of the video where the arm comes up, you can see what holds the ball in place until it drops. That may help understand what's going wrong.
