I don’t really comment here but just wanted to say I really appreciate the live, unedited feel of these videos. I personally think the short, TikTok/Reel style cooking videos are more for entertainment and aren’t great ways to learn how to cook. It’s very helpful watching what happens every step of the way
Hey dude, I appreciate the personable/chill videos on this channel. I've been getting tired of the "best/easiest/viral/etc *insert food* you'll ever make!" style videos that many of the other food channels are putting out as of the last few months. Keep up the good work.
Ethan, while watching this video, I suddenly realised how an Indian dish (a 'chaat', to be more accurate) resembles nachos. Have you heard of 'Papdi chaat'? Deep-fried flour tortillas or 'papdi' (round in shape) are placed at the bottom. The toppings are various layers of veggies, such as boiled potatoes, onions, diced green chillies and tomatoes, sev (deep-fried crunchy noodles made of gram flour, very crispy and goes into all sorts of 'chaats'), boiled black gram or chickpeas, chopped coriander leaves, chaat masala and finally 2/3 types of chutneys or sauces (one tamarind and one pudina, to be exact) and yoghurt. I find it amazing how foods from different cultures can use the same techniques and textures to create dishes that are very similar to each other!
Really loving this style of video, man! I love the deep dives, but I was a bit bummed when I initially thought your recipe videos were going away. Videos like these have helped make me more confident to try new things and combos in the kitchen.
I think the best tip I’ve learned is the measuring via subtraction instead of getting out another container. 10/10 30g…. I’m feeling spicy let’s go 40g…….45.” 😂😂💙
I love these, the new format for recipes, and especially the ingredient and calorie and nutrition breakdowns. This deserves way more attention than it is getting. Science and food, the best combo ever.
Another terrific video, Ethan. I love the informal style, absence of rare ingredients and unusual equipment, and the new additions of macros and tips on the side is very helpful.
Nachos are often overlooked on a diet, but it's really easy to control the number of chips you have and therefore control carbs/calories. You also get a large plate of food that psychologically makes you think you're eating more food than you would if you ate multiple tacos on flour tortillas. Thanks for sharing this kind of video!
Like the tip in this recipe mentions, I see a lot of recipes substitute greek yogurt for mayo or sour cream to get more protein and less fat. Is this a good option for any recipe? Or are there situations where this isn't a good option or some way you might need to compensate to not completely throw off a recipe?
Love your content and watch all of your videos! I hope this doesn't come off as know-it-all or annoying but I like to be corrected when I pronounce things incorrectly. Habanero does not have an ñ in it so it is pronounced ha-ba-ne-ro not ha-ba-nye-ro. Thanks for all your great content! I'm going to make your Thai ground beef recipe this week!
Hello Ethan, love the content, but I saw stuff in your video which makes me think: did you really have to ‘wipe’ your hands on the back of your shorts? Also you opened a bag of lettuce and sliced into it without washing it first(I’ve noticed this on the other channel as well…). Apart from these things I really appreciate that you created another channel just for food😋
People need to get more creative with how to add more veggies to their diets, not less. This is doubly true for a healthier/sustainable version like this, and not the (should be) rare loaded calorie bomb.
@@SheenaMalfoy yeah, best to put the lettuce on at the very very end to keep it fresh and crisp. But also, lettuce cooked in fried rice is surprisingly good.

I'm glad to hear it and happy to show the full process, lots more to come!

We're here to hang 😎

Sameee
thoroughly agree. this live recipe style hits.
Just getting started here!
This channel has way too few subscribers and views for the quality content we get. Love these weekly cook with me videos!!
His main has 2 mil subs I agree love these
@@teejay78 true, I’m glad he has so many on his main channel but I wish more subscribed to his new one
I totally agree
I just realized I accidentally wasn't subscribed

Every video on this new channel hits so good.
❤❤❤ this new format! Long time fan of your older channel. 🎉
My mind never put the idea of a "lazy meal" together with a blowtorch. Well played, sir.

Science and food, the best combo ever.

Keep up the good work and I'm loving the macros in the videos too!
Keep the recipes coming, Ethan! Great video format .
Glad im not the only one tossing my "hand wash only" baking sheets in the dishwasher.
I'm enjoying these quick recipes. They're not so much recipes for me but more of techniques to use with working what you have.
Thank you Ethan, love these kind of videos to make good food while I'm busy.
Love all your videos and ideas Ethan, thanks! ❤

A really simple use for leftovers while camping!
It would be cool if you zoomed out the overhead stove camera just a bit so that we could more easily see how you adjust your heat.
just found out about this side-channel, a gem fr
I had leftover rotisserie chicken and wondered what to do with it. This recipe hit the spot! YUM!
This is perfect I have pretty much all of these ingredients in the fridge. Gonna make this tonight!
Love these vids! Inspire me to cook at home more often. I love the hoodie, where’s it from??
Would loveee some more high protein lower calorie recipes ❤ I love your channel and have been watching for years
No cap on the Cholula? Savage.
Bout to do this bro. Looks good
Loving the new channel!!
Loving this stuff, man.
What are you using to smoke the chicken?
This is a really good idea
Love the word slothful

I mainly use it for dipping or sauces. For other recipes it can get a little questionable.
Ethan we know you love Hispanic cuisine! When are we going to get a quick migas recipe video?!
I love this recipe cause it doesn’t use too much heat. Ya girl is suffering without ac.
I made it… it was bussin 🥇
I don't always wash my lettuce either, but E. Coli! Be careful
Might have to make this minus the tomatoes and sour cream 😂😂
I keep thinking Ethan is on a posting frenzy (I suppose he is), but then remember I follow two channels of his now
Too dang fun! Now I want a blow-torch ;p
Aside from the lettuce, this seems great.
Love your content and watch all of your videos!

my mom called this taco abierto (open taco)
That refrigerator needs some help getting leveled out. That door is driving me nuts.
Those were not chips, those were crumbs man, lol
Had the scrape from the bottom of the bag. Life is like that sometimes lol.

Who cares lol
there was no cooking in this
Dude….. never lettuce on Nachos

Completely up to you! I’m all about the fresh texture and crunch for something like this.
I think lettuce would add a nice crisp crunch to the natchos. Like it does to many other mexican foods.
Yes lettuce, but only after the nachos are removed from the heat. Cooked lettuce is bleh.
