I m doing the hometownSAL as well. I use my lunch time at work and stitch on it every day until that section is done. I’m doing better at keeping up with the dedicated time
I joined the jingle ball this year. I wanted the Stacy bash class with the gingerbread Needlebook. It’s my Christmas gift to myself. I think I’ll order the jingle ball ornament book too.
Jingle ball: buy the $10 ticket. This way you can get the charts you want and if you have time for some of the stitch rooms and such, great. If not, at least you got the charts. I am in east coast so no issues. I would think there would be a west coast table… I signed up for 1 class. Last year I did the Jeanette Douglas class, and this year I tried to resist the gingerbread house by tiny modernist and failed. But it so cute… and I have the just man gingerbread mice… and they need a house…. Haha! As for my plans next year. I have been thinking on them already as well!!! So this year I did the 24 starts, but I added I wanted 20 FFO. I have had 28 starts, and 32 FFO! I also tasked myself with 12 seasonal smalls, and 12 ornaments. I have completed the smalls and have 10 ornaments done! I came into 2024 with 8 WIPs, of those 8, I have 2 remaining! So I am thrilled that my 2024 plans came together!!! So 2025. I am “smalled” out! I am thinking a small and ornament a quarter instead of a month. That way I get the satisfaction of the finish… but I have started some larger pieces the past few months and have a few others that will be started the next couple months. So I think I will put more into those. I have planned my 3 retreats. February at barefoot needlework, July in OK with silver needle, and “spring” at my LNS. She hasn’t announced the dates yet. As for the new years thing. Like you I can’t do 12. Last year I did 6 in 6. That was more manageable.
Dog poo makes everyone's head discombobulate!😂 I will be stitching something winter on NY eve and day. I don't like having a bunch of WIPs. More of a monogamous stitcher. Have an awesome weekend and I hope no more dog poo for you@
I have way too many WIPs, I'm trying to get some of them across the finish line. I counted how many I fully finished this year to date, and was pleasantly surprised on how many were completed.
I think i might buy a $10 ticket and call it good. I have a great dane that's still a puppy that requires a lot of time so I can't put a lot of time into the Jingle Ball. On top of that the class price is outrageous. Like you I'm also a paper crafter and I've never paid that kind of prices for classes. OUCH. Thanks for saying what I was thinking. Buy the way I love all of your stitching.
I'm thinking the same thing. Buy the $10 ticket and shop if I want to. And a Great Dane! Such fun dogs!!! Puppies do take a lot of time, that's for sure.
❤
I am not attending the Jingle Ball. I have plenty of stash to use up. I don’t want to be tempted to even look. I too am on Pacific time zone. TFS.
Your hometown stitch is very pretty!
Thank you!

That's a great way to do it! One day at a time.

Oh, I forgot about the ornament book. I may have to pay for entrance just to shop.

I think I may do that after all, just buy the $10 ticket.

Could I ask the name of the pattern on the wall behind you? On the gingham fabric?
Yes, I would like to know the name of that one too. Thank you.
It is the Cuckoo Bird Sampler by Heart in Hand. It was a really fun stitch.
@ thank you! I’ll have to look for it to add to my stash!!
