I love my S8+ Have been using it since 2017 but it is starting to struggle now. battery is effed up, very minor screen crack, Internet connection is starting to be iffy, Google maps GPS is showing issues, I want a 60fps video camera. So I am looking for a great deal on a new phone
I miss the led light of the s8. I liked that it flashed to indicate a new message. I always had the phone on mute because the light was enough and it was silent. I miss it.
As someone who still has my S8 I'm not impressed with the S24 display as far as resolution and contrast goes. Was more impressed with the iPhone 15 but I'm not crazy about iOS so I'm not sure what phone to choose next.
I used my s8 until the s24 came out and i switched to the s24. It was hard to get used to the new stuff but I'm glad i did it. The s24 didn't let me down.
Given that I've had the 8+ for 6 years and the last two years I've had problems with the USB module for charging the battery, I'm thinking about replacing the USB module. I like the S8+ so much that I don't want to trade it for any device. The screen is beautiful, the headphone jack works and the battery still lasts quite well. I like the curved screen the best. What do you suggest ?
Absolutely, I use the S8 and it's such a cool phone. I think it would be a shame to throw it away just for the USB module, but at the same time I wouldn't spend much money on it. If a repair shop asks you around 20 it's worth it otherwise I would try to repair it myself, you can usually find spare parts really cheap on the internet.
yes, they are. cheaper phones have just gotten far better and been able to match up with flagships pretty well. the standard s models are DEFINITELY a flagship.
I’m curious about what makes you think the S24+ is any better than the standard S24. If anything, this is the first generation where the standard model has the same features as the Plus. I mean, the cameras are identical. The only differences in the phones are screen and battery size; I guess there’s a RAM increase too, but you’d never notice that.
@@Squeaky55559 it just sucks that they don't want to make the starting model just a smaller version of the biggest offering mostly for people who don't want a giant phone cuz phones have gotten so big
I'm debating upgrading to 24+ I have 8+ has been an amazing phone only issue it has is very light burn if tiktok in the screen and I can't get 1 or 2 new apps. I'm so scared going trade it in an wish I didnt tho
Hello brother, I'm planning on buying a phone but I'm confused between S23 and iphone 14 which one would you suggest and which one would be better for a long term use?
I had the s8 and currently have the s24 S8 was much better hardware Should they re-release it with upgraded s24 internals it would probably sell better
I agree, but then with a samsung s9, ltpo screen 1750 nits, snapdrago 8 gen 2. Willing to pay around 850 euro for this. If you are reading this samsung..thank you in advance😂
Dude blabbered every usless facts about the software on S8 and forgot to tell which Android version is it running. How do you feel making videos that do not serve the purpose?
The burn in on that S8 never fails to amaze me.
It hurts.
Its so sad, i love my s8
The only reason why i consider buying the s24. I have some serious burn-ins on my S8
@valahnuk3593 yeah well the S8 is 7 years old now.

Watching this video from my S8, which still works perfect, but the battery is failing
I love these kind videos, how far we have come in 6-7 years. I still use my Galaxy s5 2014 along with s22U. And its running decent
Really haven't come that far though. These phones are pretty well tapped out as far as improvement.
I miss the led light of the s8. I liked that it flashed to indicate a new message. I always had the phone on mute because the light was enough and it was silent. I miss it.
I remember the S8 being the last Samsung phone I was interested in. Was very impressed with it. Just thought it was too small.

That burn in is horrendous!
im still using my s8 but my s24 just came
Reading this just by now on my S8, my S24 arrives today. Same feeling of excitement here !

Buy a wireless charger. It works on the S8 (I had to do the same thing because that USB port always dies on all Samsung phones eventually).
Once you fully charged How much screen on time in the s8 ...
The standard S models aren't really flagships anymore since 2021. The flagship has been the Ultra or this year (S24+ also)

The S24 is definitely a flagship phone. I use it, and it's amazing-blazing fast with an amazing camera.
