    Dave, Great video..glad to see you have broken away to get full control of your videos....Enchanting to watch and a true representation of our sport....The fantastic thing with RUclips videos like this is it will be an eternal legacy forever and not like a loft bound family cine film never to see the light of day again....

    Mr. Carrie, the greatest respect goes to you as an exemplary ambassador for the sport and way of life so many decent, honest, caring men and women dearly love. Best wishes to you, your family and friends throughout the 2018 season from a novice trainer of a very enthusiastic Springer Spaniel!

    Really enjoy these films. As a newbie to the sport, starting my first game session this year, your films give a great insight to a days shooting and have inspired me to get involved. Thank you.

    Great videos and shooting and why I'm great full of you sharing your experiences with us, I would love to see a video on the old fashion working class lads, that don't have the luxuries that are on show on a lot of the videos. Cheers and please keep the videos coming

    Extremely lovely place to shoot Dave. And I totally agree that you need a good team led by a good Gamekeeper to make it a good day. By the way Roxtons is only just up the road from me.

    Good uncle Dave.... astonishing watch once again....I was just wondering how do they find all the downed birds...Do u have some sort of system to indicate to the pickers where most went down??

    What a beautiful place to shoot. Great video and that crosser on the second drive was unbelievable. As you are also known as a great clay shot (aswel as one of the best game shots) and I have had a pleasure to stand in the squad behind you on many occasions. Would you say the clay shooting especially the Fitasc at the likes of Grimsthorpe targets have helped you on the game or the other way round?

    • @davecarrie2446
      @davecarrie2446 7 лет назад +2

      certainly old style fitasc long crossers at various speeds help hone the skill for highbird shooting, when you master it "then you get old and blind" Ha Ha

      Thanks for the kind comment, and yes it is funded by me but helped by various sponsors mainly Gamebore who have an interest in showing the gamebird in a more sporting light and developing their cartridges to suit the highbird scenario

    Dave love your videos. What were you using, a Miroku MK60 High Pheasant or MK 38 only ask as I saw 2 different forends.

    • @DaveCarrieShooting
      @DaveCarrieShooting  6 лет назад

      hi Martin just caught me browsing hence the sharp reply, i have 2 different sets all trap stocks tho, different forends as these are an old pair of MK60s just waiting for some trap forends to fit on, prefer trap forends to the sporter type as i think your eye lines up quicker with the grip on the trap forend

    • @martinferrett4704
      @martinferrett4704 6 лет назад +1

      I can see where you are coming from Dave, I'm a Miroku fan myself but find the trap forend to big for my small hands. With the close season fast approaching any chance on a video in the close season on the art of double gunning and working with a loader stuffing. Would be interested to hear and see you thought on how this should be done.
