Glad to find this, Carla. My new Ultratech 2 has really creamed my thumbs. After 3 weeks my right thumb is being given a well deserved rest. My technique has also improved quite a bit. I’m tempted to say that your Ultratech is much smoother than mine, but it’s probably just that your technique, strength, and thumb toughness definitely exceeds mine. I have a form of MD called LGMD (Limb Girdle Muscular Dystrophy) AND I’m 73 years old. So I have to always be up for a challenge. Right now I would say my Ultratech is “Fit for Purpose” just not “Fit for Flicking” in my hands. I can deploy with both thumbs but have a modified retraction technique that is quick and safe just far from “Flicky”. If that’s a word. Despite my difficulty, I love the concept and mechanics of my Ultratech. When mine opens, the thump is very satisfying and can be a head turning “what was THAT?”
I’m probably going to buy a Mini-Troodon” today from NC Blades so I can give my thumbs a rest. Well over a thousand deploy/retract cycles on my Ultra in 3 weeks.

For me the burgundy and purple is my pick I love the size of the first one and love the purple to conceal
Thank you! Having you use the 3 different knives shows the size comparison a lot better. It's almost comical how large the Ultratech and UTX-85 are compared to the UTX-70.

Hey do you know of any good multitool for breaking down a side arm or rifle down.

Just picked up a red tanto utx85 on blade hq. Got the last one they had in stock actually. 😅 it’s my first OTF so I’m pretty excited to see what it’s like. A friend said the size is most comparable to a Kershaw leek.

During my 6th grade year I was collecting automatic springers and switchblades, but one year later I moved on to collecting Terminator 2 and Aliens items and I did get eventually get my hands on a reproduction Terminator 2 Knife which I have displayed in my living room in a shadow box with a original Terminator 2 VHS in it. I think you should make a documentary on spring loaded automatic knives

Since seeing this video I have bought, in order, an ultratech tanto standard, Exocet tactical black d/e, apocalyptic siphon 2, and my most recent at the end of June a red utx 85 s/e standard. Will be buying a utx 70 and hopefully a combat troodon with a t/e apocalyptic blade. Not sure if that’s a thing but I’m going to hopefully find one.

Got a question before I decide to buy one has any of them ever gone off while it's clipped on your belt. I love how you explain about these knives and I know they ain't cheap. Well I will catch you on Insta. Hey is sharpening them easy and what would you recommend to sharpen them. I use a stone for mine. Thanks for explaining 👍

For that, you're looking at a Marfione Custom version, but they aren't cheap. Expect at least $800 or more.

The 85 is too fat and long, no place in the watch pocket for it. And the 70 is too tiny, just silly small.
And there is no a version in between, it would be a perfect edc for office, what a shame...
May be Manticore S would be the alternative.
Manticore S is right about that size you're looking for. You might also try the regular Dirac as well.
