This series is the best inside look into the Kenyan style of training I have ever seen. Please keep making these Luis, they always motivate me to run more
I mean... It clearly wasn't recovery pace! Reading between the lines they were clearly a bit annoyed at the two randoms who joined and pushed the pace!
Did my 16km this morning too, though much slower than u guys, I will keep striving to be consistent. Ur content is very inspirational. Keep it up and stay blessed 🙏🏽
Felicitaciones Luis!!! Una bestia!!! Hemoso lugar. No te conocía. Argentina.
When I saw the start and you said an easy run in short burst sentences puffing and panting, I thought that's not easy I know in conversational pace. Glad you explained it's really a progressive.
It's amazing how they do the forest run looking so casual, and in the same time me in this pace look (or at least feel) like I'm pushing myself. I guess there's levels to this shit :D
Same :D 5:30/km was probably the best i was ever able to do for one hour. To be fair just mechanically that pace doesnt really feel fast to me either but my heart and lungs feel different about that 😂😂
@jack, really?. For the life of me i thought all countries have trees!.wow, you should visit Kenya especially places around Mt.Kenya.Thanks @Luisa Orta for showing the world the beauty of our nation. I enjoy your clips alot!.
Really cool to see that easy is really easy for the elite guys... nowadays with instagram, strava and things like that, people with 4:55/k half mar. post "easy jogs" at 5:10 with 175bpm average heart rate kkkkk amazing content as always
Thank you for sharing these amazing experiences Luis! Been watching every episode. So surprised to see Kenyans run @5:30/k. I remember I once was running 7:00/k to recover from injury, but maybe I should start running at 6 or 7:00/k again for regular recovery runs!
I'm doing the Medellin Marathon on Sept. 4. It will be my first marathon. I was going to go train in paipa but will go to San Pedro de los Milagros (2500m, with hikes up to Alto de Montefrio - 3000m) instead since it's so close to Medellin.
Hi Luis!! Great video I really enjoyed it!! Hadn't subscribed to your channel earlier only IG follower, but that changed today 😁!! I have a training question for you! How do you guys coordinate every day's plan with each other? Do you feel that by "deviating" a bit from the typical easy run you have gained something or it's more something to spice things up a bit and break the monotony? Thanks!! Cheers from Greece 🇬🇷!!
I am watching your videos and I don't understand one thing. Not long ago I watched one of top triathlon runners saying that he used to train in Africa (I think he mentioned Kenya) and to his surprise the fastest runners did a lot of 6:00/km easy runs. As I'm watching your videos it never goes slower than 4:00/km. Are there different schools to train top athletes in Kenya? Do they have 1 "school" where they do everything fast, and one where they actually do a lot of really slow runs? Or does it depend on how far it is from the competition?
He joined a professional group in Iten, he runs for Asics now!! We are really good friends and he helps me with all my camps. However, he is doing all his training with his team! Don't worry I ran with him a couple of times and we have an episode with him coming soon!
@@ortaluis I'm happy to hear rainbow is doing great, good for him, yes! I can't wait to see that video, Also luis I am still waiting for that video you said a while back you were going to release on "what you eat in a day" It's okay I have alot of patience 😊 I hope you and hiruni are doing well
@@ortaluis this is a fast pace you call easy! can anyone with training get to paces like this or its physiological, height/stride length/etc?. Whats your average cadence? Good Stuff!
3.40 is amazing speed for me,I could hardly reach to 3 minutes 40 for each kilos, maybe one kilo or 2 kilos,I have a questions why it looks slow in this video?
These guys ever take a rest day? Do the guys get injured more as a result of the runs never been truly easy? Read that even Kipchogie runs 5 mins per km easy
This series is the best inside look into the Kenyan style of training I have ever seen. Please keep making these Luis, they always motivate me to run more
Thank you so much! It means the world to me.

It is, I sleep like a baby every night after I run there haha

Brazil 🇧🇷
Obrigado irmao!

Any of you are using strava?
I don;t!
Could you show all the runners diets?
Yes, I need to work on that!
Should we breath from nose while running? I start do in it and this cured my asthma
Wheres rainbow???? Haven't seen him in your videos recently

Uso coros!
Hi 👋 I'm Dancan from iten planning to start my training as well from next month September so where are you located
How many your cadence when easy run and easy recovery?
I don't look at those stats while running
Hy sir I come kenya for running you traind me
yes!!
We want in the video like 20 minutes ❤️🌹
Okay, working on it!
🇵🇷
Training Good like Kenya
The best!
Is it okay to run every day? I wish my muscle could do that.
You can train and build up to that in a way that won't cause any injuries. Every person and body is different!
I'm wondering when you train so often at such high intensity isn't the possibility for overtraining and injury much higher?
Yes of course, that is why we have to be very careful.. Rest a lot, massages, stretching, and so on to stay healthy!
Form india
Love India!
That's not a "conversational pace"?! xD
Is it 3:30min per Km?
Yes!
@@ortaluis this is a fast pace you call easy! can anyone with training get to paces like this or its physiological, height/stride length/etc?. Whats your average cadence? Good Stuff!
Luis brother pls send your diet plan.. I'm from India 🇮🇳
Will do soon!
If it was an easy run you should be able to hold a conversation more easily
I mean he said they needed up averaging 3.30 per k so it was very clearly not easy by most standards. But that's how they run.
Okay coach, thanks!
Do you have strava luis?
3.40 is amazing speed for me,I could hardly reach to 3 minutes 40 for each kilos, maybe one kilo or 2 kilos,I have a questions why it looks slow in this video?
It looks that way but it's not hahah
What kinds of things do you eat before and after a run?
Watch my latest video to find out!
Hi brother I'm from India 🇮🇳 I have one doubt is possible to reach 1600 meters. 5:00 mins In 45days give me rply plzz🇮🇳🇮🇳
Please 🙏 running tips me 🙏
Okay!
My dreamed is to go there and run with the Kenyan's what do I need to do to come over there and train and become a better runner.
Join us in the next camps we will be hosting soon!
800 mater work out
3' 30 "recovery run"
only in Kenya 😅
😅
don't talk while running
Okay coach haha
These guys ever take a rest day? Do the guys get injured more as a result of the runs never been truly easy? Read that even Kipchogie runs 5 mins per km easy
They have days with 1 run a day, and they have very easy days too 🙏
EASY RUN? YOU CAN BARELY BREATHE AND TALK. THATS NOT EASY.
😅
that's not an easy run, sorry
haha
