Currently I'm using standard chains and to install them, I carry a full size floor jack, gloves and bolt cutters. 1) the floor jack is so I get get out and lift the car quickly. it sucks trying to install chains by trying to roll them on or using that crappy portable jack your car comes with . 2) the bolt cutters are for that time when your chain brakes and wraps around the axle and you can't get it loose. Something that I have had and I've rescued other stranded drivers from.
@supplierhq No trouble. The inner chain circle is smaller than outer tire circle. If adjusted and mounted properly, even with flat tire it won’t drop off. We made a few thoughts about it, don’t worry. ;)
Yes I've seen that. Majority shareholders it's a swedish company, but the company was founded here and headquarters are still here, so is the spirit. If you check the british konig site they clearly talk about the "italianity" of the product. I didn't know that this one was also made here, but who is Đorđević Saša?
I guess these are much better for alloy wheels, and low profile tires, Its just a guess because I've never used snow chains before but I would assume the conventional ones scratch your'e alloys. Are these available in the UK?
How often do you need to change them?? I mean it is some kind of metal or something that means it will get worn out but how long does it take for it to wore out?
;) ...in process
very nice, but have you noticed at no time does he drive on snow or ice? Both part 1 and 2 videos just show the fitting and removal. Do they actually work on snow? Why do they not show this?
It is a great invention / innovation with one observation. How does on put when the wheel is dug in? With spiked strips tied on the top of the wheel shall get it out. Were they made of hard plastic, they could be laid just in the front or the back to get the grip. Just an idea.
@grrunf ahaahah, ok... excuse me! i think it's a really good idea, i sew them here in YT, twoo years ago and made me curious.. are your chains "legal" for the Italian Street Laws?
I have a problem with the one size fits all idea. Tires don't come in circumference ranges where they are 3 1/2" different. If they fit the circumference of a new tire, they won't fit that same size tire when it is worn down say 3/8" That difference in radius would put the fit in the middle of a link. How would they compensate for that misfit? Never mind. I just watched another video and there are two different size connecting rods. Now I am convinced that these are the best.
The price of this chains will be more cheapest than current chains? Maybe 40 or 50 €? I think his production ir really simple (2 repeat pieces) and 1 more for the adjustment. Thanks. And nice job!
Looks very good and of course safer on roads, but still it should not be unlawful. Do you have any kind of safety certificates etc? I wonder whether its using is allowed in the UK
@Chapstick050 needs to be able to produce and distribute large quantity of products respecting high standards. You can start by presenting your self with sending an e-mail about your plans, possibilities and intentions.
zip ties aren't needed at all if you drive halfway onto them first, wouldn't hurt to make them a bit wider for wider tires? Using specific tires with wide enough straight line grooves would be good for extra stability. Since you would be pulling them out of your trunk I doubt they would be frozen when installing them; as well as when taking them off after having pivoted/moved during the whole trip on the tire they would likely easily unclip. Is each link able to be seperated with the tool or is there 1 specific joining spot? If it were modular then replacement links would be a cinch with the tool. Probably only want to drive on them when there is packed snow on dirt sideroads or where the plows haven't yet cleared the snow. The best application would surely be involved with rally racing, truckers on the ice roads to emergency & response vehicles as well as forestry vehicles. I bet bicycles could use something like this as well, although my skinny tires cut through the snow just fine when it is fresh.
@kaunas Everithing on video is explained in english titles, so what's the point of watching if you don't read the titles ? You can always e-mail me for detailed info, no problem.
why do u show ur web on video clip!!??there is no English translation !!!!! i could not find any chains on ur web as well,so whats the point of advertising.........??!!

Interesting idea but how do these not eventually work their way off the tire? There doesn't appear to be anything other than pressure holding them on.
bellissima idea, le ho viste qui in YT 2 anni fa e mi han incuriosito subito...
sono omologate?
@Endidendi

It looks interesting but I would love to see the tear after one winter of use. Don't think that they will last very long.
