Jakob, I walked past you at Pearson airport once and noticed right away you were the guy that made the “why I travelled the world” video. I didn’t really approach you out of shyness, but I just knew you were up to something amazing as always based off the previous masterpieces you’ve created. Your someone on another level who I could never match even if I pursued filmmaking for a 1000 years. Truly beyond average human scope with patience greater than everyone, in order to produce such a masterpiece. An elite in your game bro. I can’t imagine the patience it took to create this. I appreciate this content you make because your videos are the only ones I’ve ever watched in my life that made me cry for hours out of astonishment of your insane pursuit for greatness. You’re truly remarkable, so remarkable that it scares me. Take care.
@@jakobmihailo I wanted to ask you what drone do you use to make these awesome videos? I'm in search of getting one I figured I'd ask the best video maker for traveling I've ever seen keep motivating us to travel!
Beautiful film mate and it felt really authentic bro! Miss you guys. Hoping to see more of you on here and if you ever want to go and create some vids, you already know, just hit me up!
Honestly I don’t know where to start. If you had told me 4 years ago that this was the direction my life was headed I would have laughed. Partially because I can see how some of these things came to fruition, but also because I wouldn’t have imagined in a million years my life would consist of some of the others. 4 years ago my best friends and I moved across the country in search of a fresh start, and little did I know it would lead to the most unforgettable adventure. Throughout all of this I had a vision of creating a piece for RUclips that would embody the experiences my friends and I shared. There were tons of highs and lows, and when the journey was over it was easy for my mind to go to all the hardships. All of the time invested and sacrifices. But when I really sit down and think about it all of those hard times get overshadowed quick by the once in a lifetime moments I shared with the people closest to me. I’m so thankful I’m able to share these experiences on RUclips with all of you, and I hope this video helps you appreciate the moments you cherish most.
Jakob I have to share with you how much your video impacted my life. I saw your "Why I traveled the world this year video" in 2020 and I had never traveled outside the country at that time or done much with my cheap camera besides making videos with friends. Your video inspired me so much, especially the northern lights scene, that I decided to spontaneously book a trip to Fairbanks Alaska (Covid at that time so that was the only place we could go) to chase the northern lights with two coworkers at the restaurant I worked at. One of them I started dating after that trip and am now married to after last year. We got engaged in Norway last year, where we went to see the northern lights again since that's where we started dating, and I wanted to go to the actual place from your video this time since it was no longer covid, and we hiked Segla after seeing it in your video as well. Since seeing your video I've visited 26 countries, backpacked South East Asia for 3 months, and have made videography my full-time job. Anyways just wanted to thank you because I think all of those things were inspired by your video, and I have rewatched it many times that past 4 years and chuckle as I see more and more places from it that I have now gone to myself. So thank you for the inspiration!
To think about how far i've come in my own life since your Why i traveled the world this year video is crazy to me. These videos hold a very special place in my heart and to see you experiencing up and downs and achieving these massive goals in your life is something that will never stop inspiring me to keep up my own pursuits. These are my favorite videos ever created
Jakob man- as a young Canadian filmmaker I love your work. I love how you showed the pain you had to go through just to capture one shot with the rock climbing shots it was inspiring
First of all - Holly crap this dude is back. I remember watching your stuff when I was starting out, always wondered why you disappeared off the face of youtube. But I also understand how everyone has their own stuff going on so although I patiently waited for a new release, I could also see how much pressure there could be on you to release something big and successful like some of the videos you had released before. Just know that whatever you choose to do, whatever you release or plan on creating, there will be a little part of your community waiting for your specific view on the world, waiting for you to showcase it in whatever way you want.
I just watched your another video and just wow. I got chills, you are amazing! What an inspiration. Please make more videos because what you do is pure magic. No creator has ever affected me the way you have. Thank you for your beautiful work!
Well done man this has to be the best video ive seen in years. The story is so well told and it really just give you goosebumps. I’ve been inspired by your work for years now and I am so grateful to have watched this masterpiece.
I don’t really comment on videos but I just wanted to say that I’ve been WAITING for this video for so long but it was 100% worth it ! Your videos truly inspire me and show me how big the world is how truly magnificent it is ! As always please continue to do what you’re doing you’re a source of motivation and inspiration to many of us ! 🫶
The last video was one of the reasons and forces that helped give me the motivation and inspiration to keep on traveling! I'm so excited for this new video
Your last video has stayed with me over the years, often coming to mind at the most unexpected moments. This one sparks a desperate desire to explore all the beauty the world has to offer, let go of fear, and embrace saying yes to more. Truly incredible work. I look forward to seeing more.
Brother I've been stuck in this mentality of thinking of great ideas and not acting, but man this just lightened a spark in me, I'm so grateful we have people like you who inspire others to be a better version of themselves, I'm so proud of you brother and thank you for always making me feel out of this world when watching your incredible content.
I watched your "why I traveled the world" and justkay's "take a leap of faith" videos when they came out a few years ago; and I continuously watch them because they are some of the only things I can consume with my undivided attention. This definitely makes the list. I am going to school for archaeology, and I've gone to Ecuador twice as a result (and to visit my girlfriend & her family), but every time I go even out of my state I think of your videos. I want to see the world and once I graduate I am going to take a break from my responsibilities to see what I've always wanted to see. Thank you so much for sharing your journey, and I hope you continue to do so. You really show why this world is so beautiful.
Finally you are back 👏🏻 It was really helpful to watch your video every time I felt less motivation, your vibes that you give in your video definitely ❤. Keep doing more video 🙂
You are my number 1 inspiration since I saw the norway film...I'm now about to embark my youtuber journey along with my best friend bein a melodic techno dj duo. Thank you for sharing and for the inspiration you transmit. I would love to have a hike with you, it's on my vision board and I know we will someday film something cool at a top of a mountain anywhere in the world. I hope you the best
This is like - Divine and Intricate. wow. I am embarrassed to admit how often I have checked your channel for a new video over the last four years, Finalllyyyyyy!!!
I hope you understand how many current creators and entrepreneurs your videos inspired. Truly one of the best in the game. Real ones saw the first couple videos years ago.
So happy that you are back! Your other video about traveling the world inspired me to quit my job and travel. I remember the day perfectly, it was April of 2023 and I had never felt more lost. I was 21 years old working as a real estate agent. I would sit at a cubical for 12 hours and call people. It was horrible. I have always been a photographer my whole life and when I saw the thumbnail of your video during a lunch break, I clicked! I was instantly hooked, the idea of traveling the world and seeing your experiences has me sold. Fast forward to June of 2023 I had quit my job, invested a majority of my money in newer camera equipment and plane tickets. I travelled for 8 weeks to 16 countries in Europe! I wanted to see it all!!! When my trip ended and I went back to the US I continued my passion for photography. I started a real estate photography business! I now get to shoot incredible homes and I love what I do. Jakob, from the bottom of my heart I just want to say thank you! Thank you for showing me that there is more to life than just 4 walls in a cubical. Thank you for showing the world through your lens and sharing it with us. Your videos continue to inspire me and I can't wait for my next adventure
Jacob your videos are such a masterpiece! It inspires me over and over again to work hard almost every single day to achieve such incredible things. The places you visit, the people you meet, the life you life itself is something inexplicably tempating in terms of observing the world around us. Love the part where you talked about making climbing your identity if you want to make it part of the video. And the focus on no shortcuts Also love how your friends are just down to do things! Like wanna go to Mexico? Sure! Let’s go 😄
Just take a moment to appreciate how overwhelming going through all the footage from 4 year of adventures must have been. Super curious about the amazing footage that didn't make this cut!
I don't think people understand that resolution consistency of this caliber throughout the span of 4 years takes an insane amount of focus & dedication. How does he do it ? Incredible work ✨
